    We are remodeling our small guest bathroom This is the wife. We are remodeling a small guest bathroom with no natural lighting. We wanted it to be a small fun, but classy space. I wanted to change out all the cheap fixtures that came with the home. This product was the best compromise. This toilet paper holder is relatively easy to install (my husband installed it and he is handy) and easy to use. It also looks great. We purchased a new faucet fixture and towel hanger that perfectly matches this product even though they were made by a different manufacturer. We also have a new light fixture that are similar in color (copper toned) that is complimentary. 5because we liked the first one we had in oil rubbed bronze ... This is the second one of these we bought, because we liked the first one we had in oil rubbed bronze finish. It was awesome looking and matched everything in our new bathroom. Well, when we remodeled our other bathroom, I wanted this same pivoting holder but in the stainless steel finish. I just want to say it does NOT match the other Delta products that are Stainless Steel! We have 2 of the faucets from the Lahara line, 2 towel rings from the Windmere line, and 2 towel bars -- they are ALL Delta's "stainless steel" finish. They all match each other, but this toilet paper holder from the Linden line matches NONE of them!! In fact, it does not even look like a stainless steel finish. It looks more like a gold finish! At first I thought they sent the wrong color and had to recheck the box. But it said Stainless. So now I am confused as to why Delta can't even make their colors (that have the same name!) consistent. I am keeping it because it's already installed, but am very unhappy every time I look at it. Not sure how long I will have it on the wall, though, until I just buy a different brand (some of the Moen ones even match the other Delta stainless products, believe it or not!). I love the pivoting arm, and this was pretty easy to install using the template. It also is very sturdy and stays on the wall well (if you don't over-tighten the tiny set screw on the bottom. If you do, you probably broke it and are "screwed" (pun intended), because you will never get it tight again after that). Anyway, Delta gets only 3 stars for this one. I would give 5 stars for the oil rubbed bronze finish, however! 3Not Sturdy After 3 months of owning this product, I think I can write a fair review of this toilet paper holder. Because it pivots, it is only attached to the left side of the wall mount. In the 3 months I have had the product, the arm that pivots now is hanging low, and sometimes when I put a new toilet roll on it, it falls because the arm doesn t go onto the right side correctly. kinda disappointing! 2but it basically is the tube that normally holds the roll has a mechanism that operates like a railroad crossing gate instead of I did not know what a pivoting toilet paper holder was, but it basically is the tube that normally holds the roll has a mechanism that operates like a railroad crossing gate instead of the annoying spring loaded tube. The left side when mounted remains attached to the unit, while the right side lifts up. This ENDS the problem (and it may well be my problem) where the spring loaded tube goes flying, with spring catapulting through the air, towards the toilet. I can change this roll so easily I really don't know why that other type of holder or mechanism exists and why it took all these years to think of this brilliant solution. And it looks nice, etc. 55 stars for looks of the finish, one start for ease of installation The finish on this is amazing beautiful. It looks more like brass. But it is a bear to try to install for a number of reasons. #1 the screw on the bottom of the bar holder that holds the unit fast to the wall is small and horribly difficult to find and screw. It unfortunately does not need a screwdriver but a very small allen wrench to get it on. Hard to find the hole, not much turn allowed once you do get it in. It took me at least an hour to finally get one on. And I had to bend up the bracket that the screw goes behind because it wasn't catching. Had to do it with a number of the brackets. I have 5 bathrooms and put up all my accessories. This is the hardest attachment system I have ever seen. Delta needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. 3Very strong and stylish Needed a double hook to hang two towels near shower. Very well made and strong. Has a slight yellow hugh (like true brushed nickel). Other products that say brushed nickel finish that are silver are really stainless steel finish. It is larger than I expected, but still does the job well. Measuring 5-1/4 H & sticks out 4 from wall. 4Unique toilet paper loading. Matching accessory 5If not using anchors do yourself a favor & have some washers on hand just in case What should have been a 20 min project turned into 2 days with a trip to Home Depot. The most frustrating part was that the tiny screw would not engage the plate, not matter how hard we pushed on the hook to make sure it was flush with the wall... after going back to the reviews i realized I wasn't the only one in this situation so I went out the next day & got some washers to put behind the plate to bump it out slightly and voila, the screw engaged. I wonder if you're using the anchors if they bump the plate out enough that the screw engages easily - I was not using anchors. I haven't used it long so am hoping it stays put. It looks nice though!!!! 3Well Made Easy Install A nice heavy duty item and larger than most. The hook mounts on a metal back-plate that is screwed into either wood or drywall and secured with an Allen screw. I never did like Allen screw type installations so we will see how this one holds up. Item comes with a set of instructions, two sheet metal screws, two plastic drywall anchors and the Allen wrench. Installation is not rocket science....fairly simple. 4Replacement for one that broke.... This was a replacement for one that we had from Home Depot that broke. Glad we could find another one on Amazon to match the remaining towel holders, etc in bathroom as HD didn't have them any longer. Also we didn't have to replace the hooks on the wall, just place the holder on as others aren't the same width, meaning new holes! We hope this one lasts longer then the past one, only time will tell. 4
