Customer Reviews

Got a slicer or a knife? You NEED these gloves! If you own a mandolin slicer, there's an excellent chance that you've wound up with a sliced finger at some point. Personally, I've wound up with a sliced thumb or digit virtually every time I use one but they are the way to go when making sauteed potatoes and onions, my husband's favorite dish. These gloves are absolutely worth the money. I made the dish last night and easily would have sliced open at least two fingers without them. Also good when chopping anything slippery such as hard boiled eggs or fruit with a skin (grapes, tomatoes, etc.). I should have bought these years ago when I first attempted cooking. 5Does the job, size wise these run small These gloves do what they are supposed to do; they provide protection while keeping your fingers dexterous enough to do work. However, they are smaller and tighter than expected. I have small hands for a dude and using the measuring tips offered, I got a large. They fit fine over the palm but the finger lengths are too short. The gloves of the fingers don't fully cover the fingers and there is a constant stretching tug of war whenever the hand bends. A little information about the odor. It's not bad, sort of like melted crayons, that follows you around while you use them and then can linger on your hands for hours later even after washing your hands 3-4 times. 4Sizing I read many of the reviews before buying these gloves. The reviews on performance all seemed to be good and I found the videos helpful in choosing this glove over others. What concerned me the most was the size. There are many comments on the size of the gloves and they seemed to be all over the board. The palm of my hand measures about 7 1/4 and a small fit it fine. I was buying 2 other sets of gloves for family members and didn t know the sizes of the hands, so I bought 2 mediums. Ron sent an email asking if I was satisfied with the purchase. I told him about my concern about the size and he assured me that he would send out the right sizes if they didn t fit. He has been very responsive and I truly appreciate his quick response and his willingness to make sure I m satisfied with my purchase. My advice is to ignore the comments on size and use the sizing guidelines provided. The gloves should fit snugly. You don t want them loose when trying to cut or use a mandoline. Also, the ribbing does come up onto your palm a bit....again, this is for snugness...better snug than loose. Thanks Ron for your great product and also for your great customer service! 5Safe against razor-sharp knives! A nice-fitting safety glove. It is still scary to intentionally slice a knife across your hand or finger, even knowing the glove can handle it, but with these gloves I can literally slice away and never get so much as a knick. And that's while using a Shun, Damascus Steel razor-sharp knife. I don't make a habit of it, of course, but I just had to give it a try and believe me, the blade never touched me. I'll be using these for skinning deer, filleting fish and that sort of stuff, mainly, but they're comfortable enough to use for everyday kitchen chores if you are prone to cutting yourself. Learn proper knife technique (roll your fingertips under as if you are playing the piano) and you'll never cut yourself, but some folks still have trouble doing that and these gloves would be perfect for them. 5Appears to be good mitigation against accidental slices; comfortable. Bought as a glove for use in wood carving. The size instructions are good (measure your hand, and check the chart); the glove fits snugly. You have a pretty good feel for holding things through the glove, and it breathes well.I have not tried stabbing or slicing my hand with my carving knives, but I did try slicing the glove (without my hand), and it appears to provide some protection.Protective equipment is not meant to prevent injuries--just to mitigate. You have to use good carving practice too--use the proper fixtures, keep your hand out of the line of fire, cut using a sharp tool, don't force the cut, etc. 5I decided it was best to try wearing them for a while to decide ... Ok, I got a pair of the Kibaron SS gloves for Prime Day. I thought I screwed up, as they felt tight on my fingers when I put them on. I did order x-large gloves, which I figured was a size larger than normal. I was thinking I should have ordered 2XX large gloves instead. I haven't actually used them for a task yet. My main use is probably going to be wearing them while filetteting the enormous quantity of monstrous fish I catch. That would involve a normal day of 15 minutes fishing and 6 hours or so of filetting huge fish. Mostly giant catfish, trout, and bass from SE Ohio.Anyway, I decided it was best to try wearing them for a while to decide if I really needed to order larger gloves. They do fit snugly on my fingers, which may be tiring after hours of filetting. Since I haven't been fishing today, I decided to see if they could be used for wine curls instead. So, I put them on and wore them while fancily swirling and saniffing a box of wine in my mouth for a split second before swallowing it. Well, not the whole box. That worked fine though, no problem holding and tipping the beer tankard of wine.I also tried running a box cutter blade across my fingers. That was enlightening as I don't have any new cuts on my digits. I tried several times actually swiping the box cutter razor blade across my finers in different directions and can still type just fine. No blood, no pain, no ouchy noises. That's pretty good! :)So then I figured I'd try typing a review for Amazon. So I have typed this entire review while wearing the Kibaron SS gloves. And I didn't have to make any more corrections than usual which is neat. I have some nerve damage in my left arm/hand so normally I can't type without a lot of typos that require coprrection. The SS gloves didn't help with that, but they didn't hurt either. Which calls for another wine curl! :)So, I can't say for sure if I would be better off with 2 times larger than normal gloves? I am getting kind of used to these ones that are one size larger after wearing them a bit. I think it might be better to get glvoes that aare double an extra size than usual, but not sure. I think it would depend on how they are used. All in all, I reccommend the SS gloves and think they are well made and comfortable. If you find typos, remember they are normal for me, not a result of the gloves I am wearing right now. I forgot to mention sometimes I am a little dyslexic too. 5and I am very pleased to say it has saved the day on more ... My husband cut his hand while cooking one day, three stitches later he went looking for a safety glove to use in the kitchen, He found this one, and I am very pleased to say it has saved the day on more than one occasion. We now give them as gifts to friends who like to cook. Love the glove! 5Bring on the Butcher Knife! Due to past experiences in the kitchen I am a bit wary of knives. With these gloves I am free from my insecurities and able to cut with confidence! I tried to cut them to pieces and it didn't work, and although I don't know how much force they could withstand, it should be great to avoid the occasional accidental slip-up. One thing that needs to be taken into consideration is that when I am cutting vegetables I also have to be able to hold them and work around the kitchen, and these gloves are flexible enough to do that comfortably. I am an average size woman and they fit me perfectly, and they are a bit loose on my 10 year old son but I would say he can still cut with them. He likes to cook so I am glad that I can finally teach him to cut without worrying about his fingers coming off! These gloves would not fit my much larger husband though. Overall I am very pleased with these gloves! 5I m delighted with the Kibaron cut resistant gloves recently purchased through ... I m delighted with the Kibaron cut resistant gloves recently purchased through Amazon. They re well made and protect my hands when cutting wet, slippery food. I m even more impressed with the outstanding customer service provided by Kibaron. I ordered Large size gloves but they were too tight to use. Kibaron Immediately responded to my exchange request and sent size XL gloves that fit perfectly! Thanks and Well Done to the Great Team at Kibaron! 5Nice snug fit, comfortable I guess you kind of take a leap of faith as to whether or not something like this would prevent a cut. I sure hope so. In the meantime, I ordered an XL for my hands, which is what I normally would wear. These fit very snug which I like for working with things that you don't want slipping out of your hand because of excess glove material getting in the way. I use mine when sharpening or replacing woodworking blades (plane irons, chisels, etc.). 5
