    Works well in late 2015 5K iMac at full 1867MHZ speed December 2015 update: Other users are messaging me with problems. Apparently this same memory is causing others with late 2015 5k iMacs to have their machines under lock their ram to 1600 MHz. I recommend crucial's memory advisor at http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/advisor or OWC ram guaranteed to function with late 2015 5k iMacs until it can be established exactly what ram should be used for these machines.Original review:I purchased this for my late 2015 5k iMac. It is functioning correctly and at the full rated speed of 1866 MHZ. I purchased this ram after buying and returning 1866 MHZ corsair vengeance ram because it caused my iMac to down clock its memory from 1866 MHZ to 1600 MHZ. So far so good. I will update my review in the future if I experience any stability issues, but do not anticipate doing so. 5worked out great bought an older Dell Latitude 13" laptop E6330. Pretty boggy, but for $100 what could I expect? A bit of research said that the thing could use 2x8GB modules, so I did it. And bought a Silicon Power 512 SSD as well. Both went in easy as pi (to 3 places, at least). The old drive was originally an Apple install The old ram was much slower than specced. Result, my $100 laptop now cost $250, but it boots faster and doesn't bog down as bad as it did.There was no hassle at all in getting to the ram slots or the drive caddy. With this 'puter. Your Mileage May Vary. 5Works Great After BIOS Update I purchased this for use in a Lenovo T440p with only 4 GB of RAM. Initially I thought the RAM was defective, because the laptop would POST, but would not load Windows. Then I though the laptop had a defective memory slot. But I started the machine with only one stick at a time in each of the memory banks and each time Windows loaded, proving the memory slots were not defective. I then searched the Lenovo website and saw that several BIOS revisions were issued since I got the machine. I used the Lenovo Windows based update utility to update the BIOS. After the BIOS update, the machine posted and loaded Windows. A quick check of the memory settings in the BIOS and in Windows shows the memory running at the rated 1866 MHz.If you are having problems getting this to work with your laptop, please check the manufacturer's website for any BIOS updates that help. 5My only regret is not performing this upgrade years ago I received this item 48 hours later than expected but I still love this item. I bought these ram sticks to upgrade my Lenovo e531 which only had 4gb of ram and was definitely holding me back. My computer worked fine but operated really slow when I had multiple internet tabs open or when I was trying to use multiple applications.I received this item, unplugged everything from my laptop, disconnected the battery, removed bottom panel (2 screws), removed old ram and replaced with new ram, and reassembled the computer.My computer is significantly faster now. I was constantly pushing upwards of 100% usage of my memory but now it ranges from 25-50%. I'm writing this review, listening to a podcast on youtube, watching multiple graphs on tradingview.com in multiple tabs, and I have a couple other amazon tabs open without any issues. I can switch between these tabs without any lag like I used to get. I also saw improvement while playing league of legends. I installed this memory yesterday 7/23/18 so I can't speak about longevity but I would 100% recommend this product. It is simple to install, just be sure you don't have any built up static electricity because you can cause latent damage without even knowing it. 5Works as it should, isn't that what we all want? I replaced the original 8GB, divided in the two slots of my Lenovo Y510P (from about 2 years ago). I use it for online school. Between word processing, and the occasional Netflix or HBO GO use I use it for Adobe Creative Cloud applications for my school classes/projects. Some stuff gets saved to the cloud (in some form) and others need to stay on my hard drive but I needed more than 8GB alone could give me, so I upgraded to 16 GB. My kid also uses my laptop for Lego Mindstorm programming (Lego robotics).It was easy enough to unscrew the back(bottom) section of my laptop and switch them out, despite finding and extra screw rolling about inside (hmm...bad quality control on Lenovo's part) that hiccup aside I put the new ones in, closed it all up and everything booted up just fine.I cannot stress enough how much, just in case, you should BACK UP YOUR COMPUTER, BEOFRE switching anything out. That way if it does not work out you have not just doomed yourself. But bottom line so you understand why I needed the upgrade and on what type of machine, yes this was and easy install (for me) and works as it is supposed to for the type of product it is. I have purchased from both amazon and crucial in the past and can say that I have always been pleased with both companies and their products.I recently purchased a late 2015 27" iMac with the base 8GB from Apple as I wanted to avoid the Apple Tax and perform the upgrade myself. I also ordered a set of these from Amazon. After reading the reviews, I was sure these would be the correct memory modules. To my surprise, the DID NOT run at the full 1866Mhz but rather at 1600Mhz (See photos). I called Crucial and they confirmed that although the specs are identical, these are non mac specific memory modules. He also stated that they may have worked for other users but would not recommend them.I recalled seeing a very similar product - [ASIN:B0181JTF66 Crucial 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR3L 1866 MT/s (PC3-14900) SODIMM 204-Pin Memory For Mac - CT2K8G3S186DM] - and referenced it to the Crucial Support Rep. He then confirmed that these are the ones that are certified to be compatible with Macs. The specs are identical but these are made specifically for Macs.Save yourselves the trouble and frustration and get the CT2K8G3S186DM modules instead as they will operate at the full 1866Mhz speed.I am only taking out 1 star as I feel that this should be specified in the description but I have no issues with Amazon or Crucial's products or services. 4Most likely bad ram. After I installed this ram I checked my computer info on windows and instead of reading 16gb it read only 8gb so there is something wrong with it or I got 2 4gb sticks instead of 2 8gb sticks. Ither way it's not right so I'm sending it back. To bad. I'm not sure yet if I'll try more or not. Also I'm positive it's not my computer or anything like that I did allot of checking on what I need and what my computer can handle before I purchased this ram so I'm positive it's not that and I even tried pulling it out and reinstalling in opposite slots but still said only 8gb. 1Excellent Product! I ordered this 8 GB card as an upgrade to my Asus F555LA-AB31 15.6-Inch Laptop which I just bought from Amazon at a great price. The laptop had 4 GB of RAM memory but reviews for the laptop suggested an upgrade to at least 8 GB. I found a YouTube Video giving instructions of just how easy it is to install a memory card into the Asus F555LA-AB31 15.6-Inch Laptop, and believe me it IS easy! Also the video suggested that for just a few dollars more you might want to purchase an 8 GB chip instead of the 4 GB (with the 4 you would have a total of 8 GB of RAM memory). I think the 8 GB card for a few dollars more was a good decision. Now I have a total of 12 GB of RAM and in just the few days I have used it I can see a huge increase in my laptop speed! 5Added Crucial 8GB stick to my ASUS laptop now have 12GB RAM. Runs much better, very easy. Added Crucial 8GB stick to my ASUS laptop (modelASUS X555LA-HI31103J) now have 12GB RAM. Runs much better, very easy.Install process: UnpluggedASUS X555LA-HI31103J laptop's AC power adapter then forced it using power button to power down. I did not (could not) remove laptop battery. I pried sticker that covered a single screw in bottom plate of laptop. Unscrewed the philips head screw and took hatch off. Inserted RAM at an angle then pressed it down so the top side of the RAM stick mated / snapped into the holding assembly. Voila. Screwed the hatch cover back on. Power cycled the laptop a total of 2 times. RAM was not discovered on first reboot but laptop / WIndows 10 Home discovered it on 2nd reboot. This took all of maybe 30 minutes max to do. Laptop has gobs of memory for basic surfing now. It's worth the near $100 I paid for product and shipping.NOTE: In theory, my particular ASUS laptop is only specced to recognize a total of 8GB of RAM. Well, in my particular case with this particular model of laptop, it has been able to see both the internal 4GB combined with this added 8GB RAM to come up with ---> 12 GB total of RAM. I got lucky. The operating system can see it all and use it. Your Mileage May Vary by your manufacturer, model, BIOS. 5perfect fit for my Late-2015 iMac with Retina Display. short and sweet: these are a perfect fit both physically and in specs for my Late-2015 27" iMac Retina. just ensure they're in matched pairs per bank for the best performance. the dimm slots on the iMac are poorly marked, if at all, so be sure of the arrangement if you're adding to the dimms already preinstalled in your machine. you can avoid this by replacing all 4 dimms with a pair of these kits and maxing out your iMac's RAM capacity at 32GB.mismatched pairs across banks wont damage anything but it will slow down performance as they'll be run in "compatibility mode," negating any gains the increased memory capacity provides, so double check before opening up the RAM door. 5
