Description

  • Identical to CT2KIT25664BA1339
  • To use DDR3 memory, your system motherboard must have 240-pin DIMM slots and a DDR3-enabled chipset.
  • This is because a DDR3 SDRAM DIMM will not fit into a standard DDR2 DIMM socket or a DDR DIMM socket.

Customer Reviews

My first time expanding ram My first time expanding memory. Bought a single 2 GB card to expand my HP Pavillion desktop from 4 GB to 6 GB. Got the ram specs from HP site for my machine. YouTube videos were very helpful to understand how the white plastic hold down latches on the memory slots work. (I first had to push them down.) Had two empty memory slots, but found no info on which slot to use, so just put the new card adjacent to the existing cards. I started by orienting the card with ICs pointing the same way as the existing RAM (also by Micron), but found the notches didn't line up, so had to flip it around, it then seated fine, the latches coming up into the card notches. On boot Windows reported 6 Gb ram, and I ran the HP memory diagnostic test just to be sure everything was OK. 5Outstanding customer service! The memory works fine, as expected. The customer service was excellent! The initial memory I received did not work, called the seller, they worked with me and found the correct memory. I am very pleased with this seller and highly recommend them! 5No bells. No whistles. (Updated 12/28/10) This pair of mem sticks looks like mem sticks should. If your computer is suitably ventilated and you are not an overclocking, gaming fanatic then these work just fine without flashy heat sinks. Of course, different memory sticks work differently with different motherboard/processor combinations so I can only say that they plugged in and were detected correctly on my particular set up. At the end of the day, if you are considering buying any memory, get your shortlist of the ones you are considering then go to the memory manufacturer's web site and check that they are recommended for your motherboard. DO NOT go off the motherboard manufacturer's QVL, (Quality Vendor's List). The memory manufacturer's do more thorough testing so results are more telling. In my case, Asus showed some other memory on their QVL and I bought it. When I eventually checked with the memory manufacturer it was not compatible with the motherboard. So 2 RMAs later I bought this pair and, voila, my problem was solved. Still running, still keeping cool and no frills. I don't need my memory to look like an X-Wing fighter. I need it to work, silently and efficiently when I turn my computer on. These do that.Edit 12/28/2010Mem sticks are still working optimally. No hiccups at all, .. BUT,... the price has plummeted. I paid $109 for these puppies. At the price they are at now they are staggeringly good value. Where's the 6th star rating when you need it? 5make sure right motherboard I made a mistake with associating my motherboard with this RAM. Your RAM will not work if you don't know the correct chip set and mother board. I bought a different stick of 4 gigabyte Crucial Brand RAM on the Crucial website. I looked up the motherboard I had on the Crucial web site and matched it with the type of RAM I needed for my motherboard. My 4gb stick of Crucial RAM works great and is inexpensive for the amount I got. My hardware configuration is : (motherboard) gigabyte H81M-HD2, (processor) 1150 socket Celeron G1820 Haswell, 4 gigabytes of crucial brand RAM, SATA 3 Kingston 60gigabyte SSD, HP DVD burner, 550 Watt PSU "ultra" brand. My case is a Antec 300. I use the integrated graphics only, currently. It only takes 13 seconds to boot into the OS Ubuntu 14 in this hardware configuration. 5Memory works great at a good price - non tech review My wife's computer is Windows 7 x64 and had 4gig of memory, but the computer felt sluggish. I installed these two 2gig chips in addition to the 4gig already installed and now her computer has 8gig total memory. The new memory worked fine in conjunction with the old memory even though it was a different brand. Sometimes that can be a problem. Now her computer feels good to use. This memory upgrade was the most cost effective way to get this computer working better.Memory isn't always the problem, but if you have less than 8gig, I'd recommend going to 8gig if you computer can hold it. 5Very decent I over clocked these modules to see how they would handle it even though I had no intention on maintaining the OC due to inability to dissipate the constant heat very well, but with AMD's overclocking tools they took the different timings and frequency very well. However, it did not like to keep the settings; every time I restarted the computer they would clock back to default settings despite my having tried to same them a lot of different ways. These modules were not really made to be taken above the factory 1333Mhz so that could have been the reason the clock would not keep.Again, it was not why I bought the modules to begin with and I am very happy with how these sticks have turned out and the price point on them was very reasonable for the value I got. I would recommend them to anyone looking to pick up extra memory that they just want to drop in, and have work right out the gate. If you are looking to over clock then you will want to find another solution as these are not particularly designed for those purposes. To gain the OC, you can't be too cheap :P 4Great Ram Awesome Price This is a great ram, crucial have a better design and quality compare to the ram that comes with my computer when I bought it new, very easy to install, they will suggest that when you upgrade your ram you should get the kit because they work better since there the same brand thats nonsense, you dont have to buy the kit if you only wanna add 2 Gig for extra boost of speed ,as long as there the same spec, theyll sinc just fine,on my computer I have 3 defferent brands of ram totalling 8 gigs, they work great ,but if I have a choice I would like to install crucial Ram because of the quality, its easy to see that crucial have better quality, just put them side by side and you see the defference they look tough,I own multiple computers, and all of them had been upgraded with crucial Rams, and they all work great,so its crucial to use crucial... 5Crucial CT25664BA1339 2GB 240-PIN PC3-10600 DIMM DDR3 Memory Module~Perfect I purchased two of these modules for my HP p6610f desktop. HP's support site stated that was what was installed in my computer. Doubled my ram (4gb to 8gb) for $24. It only took a few minutes to open my computer and install. When it's the right memory everything lines up perfectly. Took care of the slow down I got from upgrading to Windows 10. I could have spent more money and upgraded to 16mg but it would have meant buying four 4gb modules and I didn't want to spend that much. By the way, I am a 70 year old female. If I can do it, so can you. 5Inexpensive Triple-Channel DDR3 memory I purchased this kit to go into a new Core i7 build that I was doing; installing it into an ASUS P6T-Deluxe motherboard. Each stick came in its own protective packaging, which was bundled as a three-pack with the Crucial brand. After getting the machine up and running, I ran MemTest 86+ 2.11 for a total of 35-30 hours, with no problems whatsoever. Before that, I ran MemTest 86 3.5 for about two hours. Again, no problems at all.The system has been up and running for about a week, running Windows 7 beta, and running software from Photoshop CS2 to Microsoft Outlook, and a variety of other programs. No memory-related problems have surfaced in that time, so I am confident in the quality and speed of the memory.I consider the $100 price tag to be a bargain for 6GB of memory in this configuration. If I could find a use for an additional 6GB, I would not hesitate to purchase another! 5Works! Install and Go! Ok, first troubleshoot then Go! Liked the price. Liked the reviews. Ordered to upgrade from 4GB (2x2) to 8GB (2x4). Had some concern about this RAM working w/ my MSI motherboard and original RAM. Crucial website said all was compatible. Installed cards into 2 open slots easily. Booted up and BIOS and Win7 recognized all 8GB immediately. Win7 did immediately exhibit a cycle hang-up and every 30-45 secs active Windows panes de-activated (had to click into them again). Was skeptical this was memory related but everything was working fine prior. Who needs all the details but tedious trial and error trouble shooting uncovered (I guess) a driver problem (most common culprit in Win problems). Everything is working fine now. Still dont know how the RAM upgrade would cause problems with USB wireless driver but I'm going to say the problem is on the driver side not the RAM. If anything else to report will update review. 4
