    Worked great for my application. I got these to diffuse some LED lights whose light was too harsh and too direct otherwise. As a test, I first just used a white plastic microwave food dish as a reflector. I then replaced that with a regular white plastic reflector I had around the house from an older dead circline fluorescent light fixture (ignoring the circline bulb clips). This was for a ceiling mounted E27 light socket that screwed into the ceiling socket vertically. Now the light is more evenly diffused and is much "softer".A word of caution: not all LED bulbs are compatible. On the first one I tried (an older LG LED bulb), the plastic "bulb" just came off as it was not glued enough by the manufacturer in the first place. An IKEA bulb worked great. 5This does exactly what I needed it to do This does exactly what I needed it to do. I got a new lamp shade for a small lamp that did not have a harp built into it. Attached the lamp shade to the bulb clip and set it on the lamp. Works well. 5Does the job I purchased this so I could hang a lamp shade on a homemade lamp I made out of a huge wine bottle. Others have reported that they screwed the top/cap on all the way, but it was still loose. I did not have that problem at all. The fit was snug enough, and the lamp looks great. Use a washer or two if you can't screw down the cap enough...seems like a simple fix. Anyway, for 6 bucks this worked great for me. 5Just what was needed! When I first saw this in person, I didn't think it would work, but I was wrong! I had bought a lamp from IKEA without a lamp shade, and apparently only IKEA lampshades fit on their lamps. I tried to use a harp and it doesn't have a way to connect to the lamp. This product solved my problem! I can finally use my lamp with any lampshade I want! 5I am AMAZED at how FANTASTIC this worked I am AMAZED at how FANTASTIC this worked!! I ordered 3 lamp harps from Amazon and all 3 of them didn't look right with the lampshade on my lamp. I ended up paying shipping fees to return them and I still had no way to attach the lampshade. I bought this on a whim figuring it would never work. I thought it would not fit tightly on the lamp and I worried that as soon as I attached the shade to it, it would tilt or slide on the light bullb.But it MOST CERTAINLY DID NOT. It's very tight. It doesn't move. It holds the lampshade perfectly and there is no need to measure the harp and try to figure out how much of the lamp the lamp shade will cover, etc...This product is AMAZING!! Highly, highly recommend it!! 5What a great idea Whoever invented this, thank you! It is smaller than I expected. I opened it and was like, oh, that's it? Then I put it on the light bulb. It is just the right size and the right amount of tension, and then I secured the lamp shade and screwed the top on. Perfect! This is way better for me (non-mechanically inclined) than to try to buy those other things that came standard with lamps in the past, where you have to put the two sides on and hope it's the right height for the shade. 5not quite ready for prime time It does grab the bulb and it will hold up a lampshade. However the threaded post onto which one hangs the shade is much longer than it needs to be and the cap/nut that screws down on the post to secure the lampshade is too shallow. The result is an enormous gap between the lampshade and the securing nut, such that the lampshade is wobbly. if one attempts, for example, to tilt the lampshade in order to direct the light, the lampshade will try to find level. There's 1/4 inch of play between the nut and the lampshade. I will need to add 5 or 6 washers to this rig to make the lampshade secure. 2A piece of junk. does not screw into top ... A piece of junk . does not screw into top section, seems the threads do not match . i guess no one at the factory noticed this . Had to use a pair of pliers to get it into the top section but still than could not get all the way in to tighten onto my lamp shade properly so it would not wobble. 1New shades for Old Lamps We have two old floor lamps that were missing lamp harps. We visited hardware stores looking for a suitable harp, but the newer lamp harps would not work on our old lamps. As a result we were unable to attach shades. The light bulb clip adapter worked perfectly and we are now able to attach new shades. 5Shade moves and shifts when lamp is bumped Bought an Ikea lamp and of course nothing fits on it except Ikea lampshades. So in order to fit a shade I bought elsewhere I needed this clip to attach it to the lamp. It works to hold the lampshade on the lamp but it moves and shifts easily. The shade won't fall off but it will move with the slightest bump to the lamp so OCD me is constantly straightening it out. I haven't decided if I am irritated at Ikea for not having a shade that I want to fit their lamp, or if I am irritated that I bought an Ikea lamp knowing any non-Ikea shade wouldn't fit properly. I prefer to be irritated with Ikea... 3
