Customer Reviews

Memory lasted 5 years, now it's just blue screens. Corsair Vengeance Blue 16 GB DDR3 SDRAM Dual Channel Memory Kit 1.5VMemory worked well for 5 years now its bad.It has lifetime warranty so we'll see how it goes to get it replaced.I will bring up stars if the warranty replacement goes well.I've had memory last a lot longer than 5 years even though that is a good time usually memory outlasts any computer.Already ran diagnostics so it is the memory gone bad. 1Perfect Memory for My Build This memory worked perfectly in my build. I didn't have to fuss with BIOS settings and it booted on its first go. I am using an Intel BOXDH67CLB3 motherboard with an I52500K processor. Some of the reviews have said that this memory doesn't configure properly and only goes to 1333 speeds, unless they tweak with the BIOS: it should come up at 1333, unless your processor supports a 1600 speed memory bus natively. Most processors don't support a 1600 memory speed natively, most processors support 1333. So, plan on the memory coming up at your processor's memory bus speed, up to 1600 in this memory's case, but most processors will keep it at the 1333 bus speed. The memory modules have large heat spreaders on them. I like this because it gives me more cooling area on the memory so they will have less heat stress. The momory's dimensions don't interfere with a stock CPU cooler. You could even go with a really tall CPU cooler, but if the cooler is wider than the stock cooler in the first 2 inches off the motherboard, you will have problems installing the memory or CPU cooler...that's why they have this same memory available with regular heat spreaders (low profile type). That's it, they work great for me and I'm super happy with gobs and gobs of extra memory. 5Super fast I bought this RAM to put in my new system, and it works great. I ran MemTest86+ on it to check it, and on one of the cards, it came back with over 10 million errors. I contacted Amazon and they overnighted me another set of RAM to check out and replace the bad one. I didn't take any stars away from this, because this is to be expected with volatile memory and Amazon quickly replaced the bad one. Over all this RAM is fast, and consistent. I have no gripes about it. The heat sinks look really cool too, and they help with keeping the temperatures down. They are pretty tall though, so if you have a small case it would be wise to not get these, as they may get in the way. I am using these on an Intel Desktop Board DZ68BC - BOXDZ68BC with an Intel Core i5 3570K Processor 3.4 4 BX80637I53570K and they work great together. Great buy, I would definitely recommend this product to others. 5Excellent high speed DDR3 RAM - and it looks great, too I know looks aren't much of anything, but four sticks of Corsair Vengeance Blue looks like it was absolutely made for my ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe motherboard (which also sports blue heat-sinks) and Thermaltake Chaser MK-1 case (black, with blue accents).Anyway, the RAM was well packaged and each stick was in its own protective packaging in the box. Installation was a breeze and I had no spacing issues or anything. Click-snap-power-zoom.If there's one caution I would offer, it's that the fins atop the Corsair RAM are rather large, and if you have a small, compact system or oversized CPU cooler, there could be conflicts. In that case, you might want to go with the Corsair 16 GB Vengeance Blue Low Profile 1600mhz PC3-12800 240-pin Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit 16 Dual Channel Kit - CML16GX3M4A1600C9B instead. 5Flawless perfomance with heavy use. I purchased the Corsair memory in January of 2012. I've used the memory with my newly built Asus motherboard and it has literally been flawless since the first install which has just reached the 2 year mark. Windows 7 offers a rating of the different systems. the Intel Chip (core i7 2600) and the memory rated a 7.8 out of a possible 8! You can't do much better than that in my opinion. I am retired and use the computer or have the computer on almost 24 hours a day. I do graphics work with Photoshop, edit movies. Watch tons of online movies and occasionally play video games etc. I've never had a memory issue and this has been the fastest and most reliable machine and memory I've ever owned. If I need more memory at some point, I would have no issue buying more Corsair products. 5Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B Vengeance Blue 16 GB DDR3 SDRAM Dual Channel I have been running this Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B Vengeance Blue 16g set in a home built i7 sandy bridge machine with an intel board since 2012. Went through the windows 10 upgrade from win 7 pro as well. I did have a higher end graphics card from back then (not so much now days) and have not had a single hiccup from this memory. I do not do intensive games etc but am always playing with various photo editing and the like programs, video recording and light editing, burning disks, and trying out various other programs in my setup along with 2 nas drives and several assorted internal and external hard drive setups. This machine with almost no hardware issues has outlasted several other laptops and lower end machines I have played with along the way and has been our main home setup. I see others have had some issues but I can say I have not had any in the slightest from this memory in the last 6+yrs since I have installed it in my at that time in 2012 new home built machine (now at this review it is 2018). 5Rock-Solid Reliable I installed (2 of the 4 sticks) on an ASUS P8P67 Pro (Rev 3.1) mobo. I used a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus cooler for my i5-2500K cpu. If all 4 sticks were installed, the left-most stick's rather tall and thick cooling fin would (just) be in constant contact with the Hyper 212 Plus' fan that blows through its cooling radiator. That may be fine for some, but, I was concerned with long-term vibration on this stick and decided to go with just 2 sticks (8 GB) for now. If and when I really need 16 GB (SQL Server, Visual Studio, etc) on my Win 7 Pro 64 bit desktop, I could risk it, change the cpu cooler model, go with lower profile memory sticks, move the Hyper 212 Plus's fan to the other side of the radiator, or just raise the fan a bit to clear the leftmost stick's cooling fin at the sacrifice of cpu temp. The ASUS P8P67 Pro (3.1) BIOS-EFI had no problems in recognizing the memory, and, its advanced menu has many (scary for me) options for memory over-clocking, voltage, and timing adjustments, etc., all of which I haven't yet fooled with. The Windows 7 memory test, as expected, has run error-free multiple times. All that aside, the performance of this memory is excellent. It runs cool and fast. There's a reason for Corsair's lifetime warranty - they just make rock-solid reliable stuff that's made for abuse. Also, at its recently reduced price, you can't go wrong. 5Great Memory for Price but soso customer service Installed this on new ASUS motherboard. At first it would run at 1333 instead of 1600 in BIOS. When I tried to raise it to its maximum memory rate at 1600, The computer wouldn't boot up. I thought I had defective memory cards. I decided to Upgrade the ASUS Motherboard BIOS to the latest version. Now the mmemory cards run at the correct 1600 speed. I have been using it for the past few months without any problems. It installs easily and has built in heatsinks which keeps the memory cards relatively cool. Great price for 16 gbyte of Memory at 1600 MHz.Update: July 2017 this set of Memory modules have been working great since I installed it five years ago. Unfortunately, One of the modules went bad. I contacted Corsair to RMA the bad memory module and was told I needed to send in ALL FOUR modules from the set to get it replaced. I said I won't have any computer for more than two or three weeks. That didn't seem to matter to them. I send in the bad memory module with all the information they needed to replace it. They replied they still needed ALL FOUR modules from the set to make sure everything is compatible. I told them what if I purchase the exact same module except as a single in not a set. Corsair replied they can't guarantee the module will be compatible with the other three and wouldn't do it. So, I just purchased the exact same module as the set and installed it on my computer. Haven't had any problems anymore. Ran MEMTEST86 and everything came out good in flying colors.I Believe that Corsair could have sent me at least one good memory module to install in my computer so that while I am waiting for the set of four to return I have access to my computer. After I received the good set of memory modules, I can return the temporarily memory module back in the same container the new set came in. Corsair was going to honor their lifetime warranty. But the conditions were unacceptable. 4Good For The Money, Lasts About As Long As You Should Need For Recommended Upgrades. Ordered these for a rebuilt desktop from the ground up, and reported proper memory. A couple years later, have been getting BSOD indicating some time of memory management error. I believe to be linked to this RAM.Worked great, with not many issues for a year or 2, but honestly, it's time to upgrade again anyways. 4/5 stars.pros:-Lots of memory for a decent price-Looks aggressive (pro or con depending on personal tastes)-Plug and playCons:-Started having memory management BSODs after about a year. Not sure, but am leaning towards these being the culprit. Not very common occurrence, but does happen more than once. 4Corsair DDR3 16Gb Memory Kit (4x4) Corsair quality and reliabilityFast and stableSupports XMP ProfilesExcellent heat dissipationMatched set of DIMM modulesI have now built 3 systems using this memory. I couldn't be happier. Not only does this RAM perform well, it looks great too. This kit can be ordered with heat spreaders in two sizes and colors. Standard tall Vengeance or a low profile heat spreader which accomadates larger CPU coolers. Colors available are cerulean blue or black.SPD speed 1333mhzTested speed 1600mhzMany reviewers have stated that their MB did not correctly detect the speed of their RAM correctly. This is because serial presence detect properly identifies this memory at 1333mhz. Enable XMP and the memory will operate at 1600mhz or beyond if you want to OC. I am running my memory and cpu at slightly higher than stock speeds. Performace is awesome. This memory was worth every penny. It's an excellent value and offers great performace at an incredibly low price. All of this with the stability you'd expect from a high quality product. 5
