Easy to hold, yet blades are offset. Easiest to use of the several cable prep tools that I have. Mind which side you put the wire through, as blades are offset,so the location of where the cable gets slit takes practice. 4Save aggravation, buy this one! This is the third tool I tried for this purpose and was immediately impressed. The cuts are at the perfect depth for standard RG6, put it in until it bottoms out, spin it 4-5 times, and you have a clean cut. Use with the Klein ends and standard F crimper and away you go. I bought and returned several tools and ends because they just didn't work - this one does. 5Two design flaws that break the tool in cold weather... It's extremely handy to have both. But there two minor but significant design flaws that Klein need to revise:1. Spring is not strong enough2. Second blade depth (the shallower one) isn't deep enough to cut all the way through the jacket.This is exacerbated when it's cold outside (i.e.: winter and will end up breaking the RG11 prep part of the tool)A stronger/stiffer spring and a deeper cutting second blade on the RG11 part would resolve this.Otherwise, it's just not as good as the RG6-only prep tool Klein makes (which is a flawless design) 3Works well on RG6 Quad Shield Works quickly and very well on RG6 Quad Shield. Fits my hand well and is easy to use entirely one-handed. Cuts accurately and cleanly. Initially I was rotating it too many times on the cable and a few strands of the outer braid were being cut. It turns out you only need to rotate it 2 or 3 turns. The stripped portion clears easily (lower the black stop-ring, depress the plunger and shake). Only used it about 20 times so far. It's inexpensive enough that not having replaceable blades is not a deal-breaker for me, but then again I don't use it that often. 5A must for preparing RG6 cable for compression connectors This worked very well with my RG6 cable. I highly recommend this tool if you are attaching new RG6 connectors to existing or new cable or sat tv installation. The cutter cleanly cuts the braded shield and leaves a consistent length of center wire that quickly leaves the cable ready for a compression connector. Using this tool and VDV211-48 with EX6PLUS connectors will enable you to quickly connect you cable or sat system coaxial components. 5Worth every penny This is worth every penny. I have never done any Ethernet cable work but had a home project that required it. Added outlets and a run between two rooms and made some patch cables. This saves so much time. One or two turns was all it took and on my cat6 cable it never cutter the inner pairs. So glad I got it 5I wish I knew about this a long time ago I'm a DIY'er who has made coaxial cables before without special tools. I wish that I would have known about this type of stripper a long time ago. It cuts the outer and inner insulation at the same time, and offsets them perfectly for crimp-on connectors. This has made what used to be a fussy job very simple.If you are making coaxial cables, buy this, you won't regret it. 5Easy to Make Accurate RG6 Cable Strips Once I looked up how to use the product on YOUTUBE, I found it very simple to use and make multiple flawless splices on RG6 cable. I used to struggle without it and now it makes it so easy to use that my kids had to try it a few times. Not sure how long the two blades will remain sharp but I between my kids and I we must have made about two dozen splices and they all look perfect. I used this in conjunction with the Klein compound F Connector and the PPC EX6LPLUS Snap and Seal Compression coaxial connectors. I was able to upgrade my own coaxial cables in my house without having to pay anyone. It made my job much easier. 5Works beautifully, but not always the first time Works beautifully, that is, when it works, which is most of the time... I've used it maybe twenty times now and have rejected about a dozen of those cuts the first or second try. My recommendation is to make sure that the coax is pushed up *firmly* to the sliding stop, continue to apply pressure, and then rotate it five or six times while holding that pressure. (Well, a little pressure - a dab will do you.) Also, make sure the coax segment to be stripped is really straight for two or three inches back from the work face. When it works right, the ends are very clean and optimized to use with the Klein compressor tool. They pass the pull test. 4Wish I would have had this 20 years ago I've been doing cabling termination for 20+ years, and I like this unit best. It is very ergonomic, easy to use, and overall good design. I also like that it is light. You could attach it to a lanyard if your work style required that. I like to hang it from a lanyard with a small carabiner so that it is accessible and won't be dropped while working on a ladder. This unit is a dramatic improvement over all the other models that's I've used in the past. 5
