Customer Reviews

i was a good until this happend Working in Emergency Room Nothing last,, it was a good until this happend 3Nice, comfortable and zip... it's cut. Like the reviews have said, cuts almost everything easily. Glad I read the reviews.update 10/25/16. I just received my second pair, I like them so much. I use them for almost everything.update 3 4 2017 I'm giving these 7 stars... I use them daily and still just as sharp as day one.. Trim dog hair, open packages, you name it and it DOES it. 5Great Sheers, Great Price I work for a private ambulance company and I run anywhere between 1-12 calls in a 12 hour shift. I bought these after taking two calls back to back where I needed my sheers to work and the performed lack luster at best. They had black handles, so they got lost very easily at night and the metal was cheap. On the first call they got left behind but a police officer was able to bring them to the hospital. On the second call when trying to cut through a hoody, and a t-shirt at the same time they just quit working. When waiting at the ER for my partner to finish the report I got online and bought these. They came in a simple package, but from the moment I held them in my hands, they felt great. Cheaper sheers have play and the two blades aren't sturdy. These are the exact opposite, they have NO play in the blades are the non-serrated side is VERY sharp. The handles are a dense plastic/rubber material with a softer rubber on the inside so you're hands don't get beat up as you cut with them. These are also on the smaller side which is nice due to not taking up a lot of room wherever you decide to store them (hip, side pocket, bag, etc). Lastly they are coated in a special coating that is smooth and makes them easy to clean allowing the sheers to last longer."Extra Features" - There are two small divots between the handles and the "hinge" that I am 99% sure are used for opening and closing oxygen bottles. They work in a bind but with bottles that have been opened and closed over and over and over again they may not work great because the sides of the bottle get rounded and it makes it hard to get a grip. The red is very nice and makes them easier to see at night or if they get dropped somewhere. If you don't like the grey buy some cheap nail polish in your choice of color and do some painting.Overall for those of us in healthcare that need our sheers to work without issue, buy these. They are $10 and will last you quite a long time, and the quality is excellent for the price. If you buy these for say a first aid kit, they are also great; don't buy the cheap ones, spend and extra $5 and buy ones that will cut through a penny if need be. (Note: Yes they will, just know it will tear up the sheers) 5Not for heavy duty snipping-perfect for EMT type of cutting Nice comfortable shears but not for cutting stuff that's too thick or touch. Tried to use them as garden shears to snip a palm frond and they snapped. Had a pair for years and they were great. Was considering the 35 X shear and 65 buck Leatherman but in the end I repurchased. I've cut rubber, cork Teflon, sewing thread thin ropes etc. I have also used them to cut tywraps. They are pretty good around wiring and I can tell you they don't transmit electric current or I would not be here now. 4Quality product at an excellent price I bought (2) of these to replace some lower quality ones that came with a couple of first aid kits I bought. I was concerned that the ones supplied with the kits would not function properly if used on heavy clothing and the finger/thumb holes ones with the kits were not made for larger/gloved hands . These Ti bonded snips are very well made and sized to give better leverage. I would definitely buy again. 5Still searching for the perfect scuba shears. As a scuba diving emergency tool I, and many other divers, find EMT style shears much more practical than knives for cutting entanglement hazards. Having owned all-titanium dive knives that do not corrode, I was hoping that these, being titanium clad, would be the perfect solution to the rust problems that plague salt water divers. These are great shears, no doubt. Much better than all steel types. I just used them during one week of salt water diving where gear was rinsed in clear water after every dive session. Rust began to appear after a couple of days (see photo). I like these shears and will keep using them to see what sort of lifespan they have under harsh salt water conditions. Buy these shears if you'll be using them in dry or fresh water conditions. If they ever come out with an all titanium version of these, I'll buy them in an instant. 4Best we've used! My wife & I are ER people and use trauma shears daily. Unfortunately most brands crap out after a few months, aren't sharp enough, or heavy. We got these and couldn't be happier. Very sharp, keep their edge, lightweight, comfortable handles. and rugged. Only issue is, they're so good, everyone wants to 'borrow' them because theirs stink, and our wonderful shears sprout legs. So, we bought a bunch. Highly recommended! 5Excellent tool. Great value Excellent tool. Great value. As a First Responder I have already used these scissors several time and they are still as sharp as the day I pulled them out of the package. The grips are padded and fit my medium to large hands very well. They are comfortable and easy to use. So far I have cut several pair of blue jeans, one work boot, and one braided paracord bracelet with them. Trimmed a SAMS splint down for a young child. I am going to order two more sets. 5Not as good as they used to be... These used to be my absolute favorite shears. I work in a Level 1 Trauma Center so a quality pair of snips are a must. The first several pairs I bought were excellent. Blade was sharp, handles are VERY comfortable, and they cut everything I could ever ask them to (and more!). However the last couple pairs I bought have let me down. The rivet no longer comes tight enough from the factory to guarantee high speed cutting action. As soon as I opened the package on the last couple pairs I bought I knew there would be a problem. They rattled just shaking them in my hand. As expected, when trying to cut clothing quickly the material binds in between the two blades, not what you want happening in emergency situations. Sadly, I will be returning this pair again. I was hoping I got lucky and just received a bad batch but that appears not to be the case. On to the next brand! UPDATE: After using another brand for 6 or 7 months I decided to try my old favorites again, but they are now even worse than before. The rivet on the most recent I bought is so loose the blades are almost completely separated. Apparently QC is non-existent at this company. 1Great Shears I've owned a lot of this style shears over the years... The plastic handles usually break under heavy use, or the joint gets sprung. These have held up very well.Been using these to dress dove, quail, and pheasant. They snip legs and winds with no problem. 5
