PYLE PLG6.3 6.5-Inch 280-Watt 3-Way Speakers Well the PYLE PLG6.3 6.5-Inch 280-Watt 3-Way Speakers are installed in my 2006 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab. First I wasn't expecting much... but I was pleasantly surprise with the sound... it s okay. For some reason the stock passenger side speakers went bad sounded blown all distorted sound. But the stock driver side was fine so I compared the PYLE PLG6.3 6.5-Inch 280-Watt 3-Way Speakers to the stock speakers on the driver s side. The clarity of the PYLE PLG6.3 6.5-Inch 280-Watt 3-Way Speakers sound better however the bass response was better with the stock full range speaker. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that the stock speaker cone was made out paper and after 6 years of use it was well seasoned. In any case I am please with my purchase of the PYLE PLG6.3 6.5-Inch 280-Watt 3-Way Speakers. I should also note that I bought 2 sets of the PYLE PLG6.3 6.5-Inch 280-Watt 3-Way Speakers. One set the speaker grill screw slot was damaged broken off in the box. And the other set there was cold solder on the speaker cone! It was a tiny droplet right in the center of one the cone side. It sticks out like a sore thumb because of the yellow color of the cone. So build quality could be better but overall a good buy. 3Good Bang for your buck Pyle 3.5" Inch Two Way Sound Speaker System - Yellow Poly Cone Pro Loud Range Audio 120 Watt Peak Power Per Pair w/ 4 Ohm Impedance and 100-20KHz Frequency Response for Car Component Stereo PLG3Good little speakers for the money. I had bought them to replace the tweeters in my 92 ford and although they do not sound as loud as the stock units they do sound a lot more clear, Slight modification was needed for my application due to the center of the speaker poked out a little too far than expected 4mb quartz ect and I get the best frequency response from these pyles I order erd them ... I compete.in spl drag contests and have enough bsss to flex my Window out completly with 4- 12in massive audio dmx stage 2quad 1ohm subs its insane loud and I was blowing through 6x9s my bass would actually crack the tweeters off the speaker I run 6-6x9s and 2- 6.5s I have hsd everything from sound stresm pionner, earthquake , clarion, mb quartz ect and I get the best frequency response from these pyles I order erd them for the price and to just try out now I just ordered 4 more thy sound awesome and have huge magnets and produce all the sound s tht ur mids and highs shld. I run them on full psss on their separate eq and love them for 28$ u can't find nothing even close to this product I spent137$ on a earthquake set of 6x9s and thes Pyles are identical in the wsy theer built and sound Itthink earthquake is one of the best brands ther is and thes Pyle 6x9s ran correct I have 4 bridged down to 2ohm and the same thing with my othr 4 I run a huge amp for them and 3 other mono bloke earthquake PhD 3destroyer amp s on my masive audio dmx 12s and I blow my tail lights cracked 4Windows this summer flexing out. And u can here the pyles threw all tht bass I was blown away ny how great thy sound for the price it seems to good to be true but iv been hammering the 4 I have fot a month now without any problem thy are not made to sound good in a factory instal thy need to be amplified and the magnets are two big to fit in most factory holes. Keep in mind i did not put these in a car. SO.... i did the unthinkable! I built a T- Line box with slotted port for these like in the pic. The box is 1.212 Cuft each speaker, and comes in around 45HZ. On face where speaker is mounted I carved a tweeter horn out of 2x8 lumber and mounted this to the front of the box. Each speaker has its own box and the two boxes are back to back. I have a Planet Audio PL2400 4channel amp bridged running them. Guys all i can say is its all in the build!! The mids and highs come at you like hifi, because of the wood horns that i mounted them to. Lets talk about the bass. I have been doing car stereos since a kid. I have had some awesome systems. Sitting in a 14' x 12' room im my house. I could start to hear bass frequency at 9hz. Can you play music at that.....NO , but it was very interesting that it was even audible!! SO with this build , playing R and b old school , new school , rock , rap, country, the sound was awesome from 25hz and up!! You would swear you were in a car with a pair of 10 inch subs!! Got some scrap lumber laying around build and see for your self!! On the Square port length 1 and 2 pieces facing the back of speaker i used ribbed foam rubber as a cushion and sealed the rest. If you build this correctly with the size i have given you will not be disappointed!! Oooooh yeah, hey Pyle.... hope you read this, the speaker wire that you guys packed in the box with these speakers, WTH. why would you even put it in there, junk! Guys throw the speaker wire away at the start and get your own!! Good luck 5HIGH QUALITY SOUND!!! RIDICULOUSLY GREAT SPEAKERS. I m running these at 120 watts and they are loud, crystal clear, strong bass, and beautiful. The surround sound couldn t be any better. I m building a boom box with these and compared them to a 5 Pyle speaker and the pioneer 6.5 2-way speakers. These take my breath away by sound quality it produced compared to the other speakers. 5Pyle speakers fit perfect These Pyle 6.5" speakers fit perfect on my 2002 Dodge Dakota, add the boom mat and cables adapter pigtails to make a nice installation and achieve great deeper sound. Total improvement from factory installed speakers. 5Not bad for the money I used these to replace a set of trashed OEM's on chevy van, with an inexpensive aftermarket head. They sound MUCH better than the messed up OEM's, and they are not bad for the price. It's a noisy work truck, so I could wish for more power, but that's not normally going to be an issue I think. . I also think that there was an impedance problem from the after market head, looking for 8 Ohm speakers, and the 4 Ohm factory speakers, and these fixed that as well. 5Good, clean and loud. 2000 Silverado.Recently lost some Focal 100 cv1 speaker. Started looking for some budget speakers with decent rms or more then the Focals did. Found these with good reviews so thought why not, if they are junk I won't be out much. Installed them today with some pyle plg6c 6.5" with tweets for the doors. Had a focal accuse 165a melt down. Have them running on a 300 watt amp and they sound clean, clear and loud. After a sound test I switched my amp back over for mid bass and high rang because that is what I am using them for. Have a 12" for my lows. But for the price you pay you can't beat the sound, happy with them and glad I don't have to spend $500 on high end speakers like a set of Focals or something. 5Speaker I have an 83 k5 blazer that going by the search on Amazon said it would fit this model. Size wise yes it works but the tweeter part of the speaker pushes up against the dash pad so unless you want to modify the bracket that holds the speaker in I suggest get a speaker with out the extra tweater on it. Sound wise there ok you can tell there a cheap made speaker and the connection wire is hard toconnect. But you get what you pay for so if you want perfect buy a more expensive and name brand speaker 3won't quite fit dash of 2001 chevy blazer So far so good they sound great in the dash of my blazer but they do not fit correctly. Especially on the drivers side the air duct causes one corner to stay elevated. And screw holes only line up for to of the screwtabs on the speaker. But I was able to make new holes and seal the gap with silicon I also decided to kinda seal the whole enclosure with siilver aluminum tape. I tried one before and after sealing the enclosure the silver tape big big difference. The tape made a great mini speaker enclosure. The highs are great and I get just a little mid bass not much but definitely a lot better than before with just the junk stock tweet chevy puts in there. Once its buttoned up ya can't tell a thing has been changed. 4
