Customer Reviews

These cables work great. I am moving my computer to the top ... These cables work great. I am moving my computer to the top of the hutch attached to my desk and needed some extra length on all of my cables. I ordered this one since it gave me more length than the standard ones that I already have laying around. Both ends fit nice and firmly into their respective plugs and I have had no problems with them what so ever. Highly recommend these cables if you are needing some. 5Brought my old monitor back to life, passes EDID info....well worth it I went to Fry's electronics and bought 2 different cables, the second one I lost the reciept for so I wasted $20. None of them (Belkins!) would work without ghosting, and during use, they would not pass the EDID info to my computer. Sick of garbage I came here and found this cord - it's night and day, better, dual link!!!! Even if you don't have an HD monitor (I'm using this on an ancient LCD monitor from 2001) just *get it*. It makes it look as nice and bright and crisp as my new Samsung. What a huge difference it has made. And no ghosting....and now it shows up as the right monitor again instead of a Generic one.Of course shorter cords usually pass EDID info no matter how crappy the cord is, but at 10 feet, the Belkin cables just couldn't do it. 5High Quality, excellent results I purchased this product after ordering a slightly longer competing cable that turned out to be defective. Whereas the other cable brought immediate concerns coming out of the box, this one inspired confidence that was not misplaced. Adequate insulation (avoiding interference), sturdy connectors that seat well, and at least the impression of high gauge conductors turned into just what I expected: a solid connection at both ends and an immediately working solid connection between monitor and computer. After the previous poor quality cable, this was cable bliss.EDIT: I note that other reviewers are indicating issues with running Dual-Link and high resolution. I am running with 2560x1600 with ZERO issue - it was simple connect and go. 5Does what it should This is a nice low cost option for buying a dual link DVI cable. It is plenty long for most installations and the quality is very good. I use it with an HP LP3065 and the visual quality is excellent (at 2560x1600) - I've used it with both my MacBook Pro and also with my desktop PC equipped with an older NVidia 8800 GTS 512. This extra cable allows me to hook up both machines to the single monitor and easily switch back and forth between machines. I can't detect any visual quality difference between this cable and the one that is 3x as expensive and that came with the HP monitor. That's a winner in my book.Would highly recommend this cable for the price. As a bit of an aside - make sure that you really need THIS cable. Dual link cables are required for high resolution monitors and most people simply don't need a dual link cable. The dual link DVI pins provide an increase of speed and signal quality, allowing for greater resolutions. A DVI single link 60-Hz LCD can display a resolution of 1920 x 1200, while a DVI dual link can display a resolution of 2560 x 1600. If you are running 1920 x 1200 or less, save some money and buy a single link cable. I didn't know that until I actually needed the dual link, so I figured I'd mention it here just in case. 5HDMI cable This ten foot cable is more than adequate for most needs. It carries the full spectrum of audio and video, and with gold plated connections give the high assurance of a positive flow of data, with minimum degradation. The price is nice. You may find a cheaper link, but beware of those. Cables are one of the weaker links in networking. This cable is backed by Amazon and the MFG. I have three and they all are great value. Use for connection of monitor to computer (if you have the HDMI slot or an adapter), or connect your players (audio or video) to a device with HDMI receptacle. If you have an older vid card, or monitor you may need the adapter of HDMI to the 15 pin D-link. Those are cheap and commonly available. The value is very good. 4Waited 1 month for a Defective Cable I ordered this cable to replace my slightly-too-short 6-foot cable. It took a MONTH to get here! The package said "Par Avion", but I think it came over from Guangzhou, China strapped to the back of a swimmer! After waiting all that time, I unplugged my 6-foot cable and plugged in the new 10-foot cable. The PC beeped saying it had again found the monitor, but the SCREEN STAYED BLACK!!I reconnected the 6-foot cable and all was fine. Tried again - same result.I'm now again using the too-short 6-foot cable and thinking about what to do with this defective piece of junk... 1So what actually matters is that it A) works at all and B) is made well so it is easy to connect and will last Over the course of being a nerd for the last several years, I have acquired a lot of DVI cables. Sadly they are all around 3-6 feet, and the fact I have so many makes me resistant to buying one. But I did, and it made setting up my dual monitor setup much, much easier. It's a DVI cable, it's digital, which means it works or it doesn't. So what actually matters is that it A) works at all and B) is made well so it is easy to connect and will last. This cable met both standards. 5No ferrite's Normally, I don't review cable and accessories. On this one however, I want to write a few words. This may or may not happen in general. The image that the seller provides shows ferrite filters on each end.Because of this image I selected this cable, aside the fact that it is 10 feet long. With a 10 foot long antenna, one can get some elements out of the frequency spectrum to radiate off of it.In other words, this cable can cause harmful radiation to other electronic devices, if the signals harmonics aren't properly suppressed. The two star rating is, because the cable I received, does not have the ferrite's.Yet, I opted to keep the cable and don't send it back, because of shipping rates that can easily reach the value of this cable.Any high speed data cable should have Harmonic suppressors installed.Ohhh, by the way this cable doesn't support DVI-D speeds. I believe the specification is 50-75Hz Vertical and whatever Horizontal goes with that. 2My current cable is the one that came with my ASUS VG248QE which is only like 3-4 foot long So this cable was delivered today. My current cable is the one that came with my ASUS VG248QE which is only like 3-4 foot long. I recently purchased a X34 Predator and needed to move this monitor farther away so I ordered it. When i pluged it into my GTX980 it instantly let me know it was the wrong cable and the resolution was like a potatoe. I tried to change the resolution and it would not allow me and kept the box in the middle of the screen stating it was the wrong cable. I am in the process of returning it now and will update as it folds out. If you look through the reviews and questions I am not the only one who has had trouble with this cable. I think I would steer clear of this brand and fork out a few extra bucks. I ordered another from a seller named "Cable Matters" Hopefully the next one will do the trick as I'd love to get my setup fixed! 1Did not work with 23" LCD Monitor I had a 6 foot DVI cable and it worked but was too taught for where I wanted to place the monitor. I bought this 10ft cable to afford me the slack i needed to tuck the cable alongside the desk. I plugged the cable in and it caused the monitor to flash on and off. I rebooted the computer and had the same issue. I reconnected my shorter cable back in and everything worked fine. This cable did not work like my shorter one does. I will buy one from the same seller I purchased the first shorter one from. 1
