Customer Reviews

Love these!I little high priced for how much you get, but it s actually waterproof and super durable. I put labels on my daughters water bottle for school and two months in it s still on there and looks great. The sharpie I wrote with rubbed off already.5Easy to use, high quality I bought a few of these tape cartridges with the primary purpose of labelling my nail polish swatch sticks, but I've used them for many other purposes too. Sometimes you just don't need the wider labels, and it's easy to just pop one cartridge out and put another one in, back and forth with no issues. Both the 9mm and 12mm tapes come in 8 meter long lengths, so they last quite a while! I've had no problems with the tape getting stuck or jammed in my P Touch labeller, which I was worried about. It's very sticky, stays sticky even in the heat, doesn't peel and I've had no issues with fading so far. High quality and not all that expensive considering the 8m length. 5It is what it says it isOriginal manufacture item in retail packaging. It is exactly as it is represented to be.Perfect size for marking the sides of craft inks with the color names. That is what I use this size for.Sometimes there isn't much to say when it is a multi-time ordered product.5Get these! I've purchased the "cheapies" before --they are a pain and NOT worth the lesser price. BUT -- these genuine BROTHER tapes always do the job and DO NOT create problems while creating your tapes. AND -- getting this with PRIME saved me nearly 50% over buying locally PLUS it was delivered to my door -- FREE! 5Generous amount of product, doesn't jam my machine, great visibility! Love everything about this tape - from the price to the look! The best feature is definitely how readable it is at a glance (I'm old so this is important to me). I also love that it is super easy to install, no wasted time fussing with getting it started or untimely machine jams. A cool tip to avoid that wasted 1" of tape before and after the text is to print the text for four or five labels on the same line with three spaces between each separate label. Cut after the last one and use scissors to cut your labels from each other. No wasted tape! The other thing that made using the label maker easier for me is to peel the backing off by gently folding horizontally in the middle - the tape is already split in the center and it pulls right up (no more fussing with trying to get the end to lift!). This is great tape, at a terrific value, in a generous amount of product, five stars all the way! 5Good label maker This label maker has many options for enhancing labels. The keyboard is easy to use. The printing is clear. It only comes with a starter label cassette, so additional cassettes must be purchased. Amazon makes purchasing matching label cassettes easy. 5Great labeling solution Love these labels - aggressive adhesive to keep them wrapped around cables, stay on equipment, etc. Being laminated the printed characters will not rub off like the non-laminated ones. Also, these have "crack and peel" backing, with the backing split down the center of the label so you can easily separate the backing one half at a time, saving a lot of time and frustration trying to get the backing off of the type you have to pick at the corner to start removing the backing. A little pricey, but worth every cent. The only con I can think of is that the color choices in the laminated series are somewhat limited. I wish they had these in black on silver. They have gold on silver, but black on silver is much more professional looking for studio equipment and computer asset tagging / OS identification etc. 5Very goodVery good & works as expected of original brother cartridges. The peel at the back is thick & easy to peel off.... this feature separates the real from generic cartridges.5Definitely get the original Brother labelsSeems like a small thing, so why spend the extra money on the genuine Brother item when you can buy the knock-offs for a lot less? Here's why:1. The knock-offs don't separate easily from the backing. The slit on the backing paper is inconsistent.2. Even printing. The knock-offs suffer from voids in the printing and cheap lamination.Get these. They are a lot easier to use.5Authentic Product - Good Price & Quality It took a long time, but I finally used up my inventory. I ordered this item and it was an exact replacement. I almost got tempted to order an off brand, but decided not to take a chance after reading some of the off brand's reviews. It pays to shop around on Amazon, however. This is the cheapest authentic product I could find. Some were nearly double this price for the exact same product. Anyway, it works perfectly just like the one I finally consumed. 5Tiny but usefulI have Brother tape of many sizes but I use the 6mm for cataloging nail polish swatch sticks.I've gone through a few cartridges and haven't had a single issue. No jamming, no errors, no missed letters or misprints or anything else. The printed tape is durable and doesn't fade or peel from any surface I've used it on (which includes plastic, wood, and whatever my Ikea desk is made of).The backing peels off of the tape easily - you bend the tape to lift up the middle edges of the split backing and it peels off very easily.5Works OKThese cartridges work as expected. Nothing super-duper about them. The could certainly use a little more adhesive, as they are fairly easy to remove. Kinda expensive for what they are, however these are half price of what any "Office Supply Store" has. Same deal with printer ink.... :( Gotta buy 'em if ya want 'em...5Great ProductThe product is proprietary and as a result have jacked up the price. All Brother tapes are way over priced but the Sellers on Amazon have kept the prices at a minimum.5Great labeling solutionLove these labels - aggressive adhesive to keep them wrapped around cables, stay on equipment, etc. They have gold on silver, but black on silver is much more professional looking for studio equipment and computer asset tagging / OS identification etc.5Great labeling productI've been using Brother TZ label tapes for years and they've always worked well and look really good. Now Brother is calling these TZe tapes instead of TZ tapes, and I was concerned that they might be incompatible with my older label maker. No worries. I wrote Brother and here is the reply I received:"The TZe tapes are more environmental friendly; plastic weight reduced by15%, contains 5% recycled plastic, smaller packaging, and energy efficientfilm ribbon. The TZe tapes will work in the PT-2430OPC and you should nothave any problems."It would be nice if the Amazon product description pointed this out. As far as the tapes themselves go, I've used both the standard, the flexible ID tapes, and the extra strength adhesive versions of the labels in a bunch of different sizes (1/4"/6mm to label CD cases, 1"/24mm to label video cassettes) and they've all been great. In fact the only downside to the labeling system (besides the cost of the tapes) is the 1/2" or so that's wasted each time you print a label, but the PC-connectable label makers and newer models support "chain printing" of labels so that small annoyance can be avoided as well. And unlike my previous Dymo label printer, I've never gotten a defective cartridge.Highly recommended!5The tape's okay, the machine wastes too much of it. In the category of sell the machine cheap, charge a fortune for the supplies, I give you Brother tape. And it's not even the cost of the tape that gets me, it's the way you're forced to waste so much of it if you want to print a label. There's an inch, AN INCH, margin on each side of everything I print on my Brother P-Touch. Photo attached. I've tried to follow the directions to change the margins but it didn't work. If anyone can enlighten me, I sure would appreciate it.I guess if you're reading the review of the refills it's a little too late to warn you about the labelmaker. 3You don't expect this from the manufacturer's brand...Imagine my shock, when on the second label, the tape jammed and de-spooled. You don't expect this with the manufacturer's brand. What ever happened to zero defects? Yes, I am returning this for a refund.1
