Customer Reviews

Good product. Brita makes you go through a lot of work to figure out which items are expensive versus being a good deal. Product works fine. There's so many Brita filters on Amazon that I wish Amazon or Brita would do some sort of comparison guide. They come in several quantities, but the pricing is so erratic depending on the seller, that you have to do some math that you're not getting ripped off. After a while, I got tired of it. So I just picked up the Target brand version of this filter, which works with the Brita pitcher. Ever since I switched, the water looks and tastes pretty much the same, and I haven't grown any extra limbs. 3Filter is too simple and not workingEarlier I thought it should be some kinds of nano-technology to filter the water, but them I found out actually there was four holes under the bottom which just use activated carbon adsorption. It didn t fit my desire. So I still cannot drink the water after filter.not to mention the light in the bottle shows that I should change the filter even though I just replace to this new one I bought2Advertised as the "Advanced" model but I received the original. Still a good product just not what I ordered. When I ordered this item last year it was received as advertised, the "Advanced" model. I reordered the exact same item with the same description but did not receive the "Advanced" model. The old model is fine but requires soaking before use and often leaves small charcoal specs in the water. Not a big deal but I prefer the newer model. I tried to return the item but learned that it is not returnable probably for safety reasons. Amazon did refund my money, though, because I did not receive what I had ordered. I've been using Brita filters for years. My water tastes great as long as the filter is fresh. More economical safer than drinking bottled water. I try to drink a lot of water and change the filter about every two months. 3To drip or not to dripThis is my second order from brita. The new filters have less carbon particles floating in the upper container leaving more in the container to filter out sediments and odor. Water does taste better. Will order again when needed. Thanks4Excellent price on bulk buy of necessity for Brita owners An excellent price for a bulk purchase of the filters we needed for our Brita water pitcher. These are NOT the newer "no pre-use rinsing required" filters, so you will need to rinse each filter briefly under your sink's cold-water faucet before placing the filter in the pitcher; that doesn't take very long, though. Using "Shop with Points" saved even more on the price, and the 2-day Prime shipping got the filters to me several days before I could have gone to the nearest "brick & mortar" store carrying this product (at about twice the price). Now I just need to find the storage space for what will be roughly a year's supply of water pitcher filters! 4The real dealGreat price for a 3 pack. This is the real deal, not a aftermarket. I read the reviews and the #1 complaint was not fitting correctly. This cartage only goes in one way. keep turning it until it drops in, Again it only had one way to seat.. I also would recommend cleaning your whole brita system, mine had loose dirt in the loading insert.5Good replacement filters Theese are the exact filters that you buy in store, for a much cheaper price. I like the ten pack because each filter has a life of two months of use, therefore with that pack you wont have to buy them for almost two years. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is the way it is shipped. You have the box of 8 as shown in the description picture, then they include two additional single filters in the package. As for the performance of the filter, it does indeed filter out a lot of junk out of the water. It makes the water crystal clear and tastes much better than tap water. 4Great buy.I thought it wouldn't fit my standardized pitcher, but it does! It also has a useful "handle" on top that helps you to pull it out of the pitcher for easy change.5Picture showed the original Brita replacement filter so I paid ...Picture showed the original Brita replacement filter so I paid $22 for three , only to receive the new type which doesn't last more than a few weeks . The original filter went for a few months . The seller was NARPS . I am Very dissatisfied .1No Soaking I don't love, but I do like and have been using the Brita water filtration system since they first came out. These newfangled filters work like the old style except no soaking is required and it has an easier to remove knob on top. Removing the filters was never a problem, but the no soaking feature is welcome. The new top also diverts water from being poured directly on the filter although I tip the pitcher out of habit from so many years with the old style filter. The filtered water works for my coffee as well as with my fish (with conditioner, of course.)Note: having read some of the low ratings. It would be obvious that one does not tip the pitcher past the pouring point (like, bottoms up). So of course, the filter will fall out! It use to fall out even with the old style! 5defectiveThis lot is defective. I've bought many brita filters over the years. This box, the water runs right through filtering nothing. The water tastes just like tap water. The number printed on the bottom of the box is F118085.1Misleading - Filters for "Classic" older pitchers are shown in the ad.The picture in the ad shows Brita filters for their older "Classic" pitchers. The filters I received were for the newer pitchers and will not fit the older "Classic" pitcher that I have. I contacted Brita and they said that the newer filters would work, but you had to forcefully push them into place. I don't care how much force you use, there is absolutely no way those filters will fit the older pitchers.2Pleased with purchaseI have an older model Brita Pitcher (probably purchased 7 years ago) and purchased this item because the model looked the same as what I use (I didn't want the newer model filters for fear they would not fit in my pitcher). When I opened the package, it was the new model filters. I was disappointed. Then I read on the package that the newer model filters fit in all model pitchers and are engineered to leave less black flecks in your water, don't need to be soaked prior to use, etc. I was very pleased, and wish I had bought a larger pack of filters!5The product in the picture does not correspondThe product in the picture does not correspond withe product that i received(and the written information is very poor), the picture shows the cartridges for the old model, but i received the cartridges for the new model. The problem is the new cartridges do not fit well in the old model, for that reason i bought this cartridges to this seller. Very disappointed. Bad information, Bad product for me.In addition the cartridges do not look original because the packaging is just a generic plastic bag.1Improved filter bodies. These are the new, actually improved filters -- made of stronger stuff, so no inadvertent cracks in the sides, and especially much fewer carbon particles in the water. I know these filters work because there's never any residue in my kettle, as opposed to tap water that leaves lots of unwanted stuff behind. I don't live in Flint, Michigan, either. Here in Baltimore we're often told how clean our tap water is, as I assume any city's authorities would say. 5Worth itI use an older Brita pitcher. These filters fit fine..make sure your aligning the base of filter to openings in water system. Fit should be snug if placed correctly.5Good deal I have an old Brita UltraMax Water Filtration Dispenser which used the old filters. These new filters were a great deal, especially when buying a 10 pack. They fit into the old dispenser with no issues. I was sad to see that I could no longer use the old dial device that plugged into the top of the old style filters, essentially clicking once after every refill and tracking when to change the filter. The new filter is smaller and has not given me any charcoal issues yet...but that usually never happened until towards the end of the filter's life. The one I have in now is only a 2 weeks old.All and all, this is a great deal. Oh yeah, this 10 pack does come in 1 large box. Inside the box is 2 separate boxes that each hold 5 filters. Not like this should matter at all, but some people are weirdos about the most insane stuff. 5
