Totally worth the moneyThe speakers were pretty easy to install after cutting some wires and the sound quality isn t bad. Not perfect by any means but for the price they are completely worth it. Before I purchased these I had two blown speakers in my front cab and the back ones were not the greatest. Really happy with my decision to purchase this. Worth the upgrade if you have blown speakers and want something cheap. Again, not a beautiful sound but for a 96 Dodge Ram, I just want some music and it don t need to be loud.4Try your changes The speakers work and sound great;however, I was disappointed when I attempted to fit them in the rear deck of the car. (01 Buick Le sabre) The previous Kenwood speakers sat in perfect. I had to take pliers and bend the extending edges where the screws are supposed to go just to fit them in. I almost took them back but the damage is already done. 3They were below my price point and I feel like I got a good deal.I love the value of these speakers. I bought the 6x9 400 watts version for around $23. They were well packaged and sound a heck of a lot louder and clearer than the stock speakers Honda put in my car (keep in mind a was replacing speakers from a 2001 Honda-ha!). I needed to buy a Honda Accord terminal adapter to have the connection fit though.I am not an audiophile, but they work for me. They were below my price point and I feel like I got a good deal.5If you need to replace rear speakers on a budget....read on.Well, I've been a MB Quart fan for as long as I've owned a Honda Civic. Yep, 20 years(where does the time go?). I had to replace my speakers immediately because my car was sold to me w/ 4 blown speakers. I installed Cerwin Vega 6.5" speakers in my doors and they are still working fabulously. Maybe I should write a review on them, lol. No, they are unobtainable these days, so back to this review. I wasn't sure about buying inexpensive speakers, so I read as much as I could about the Boss Chaos Extreme 3 -way 6x9's and thought w/ a 3 year warranty how can I go wrong? I also picked them up for 25+ bucks so a great grab. They were packed perfectly and not broken like many people said on arrival. That sucks. So, I got them about a week ago now and tried to give them some time to break in. Obviously it will take longer than this. However, so far I've thrown The Prodigy - Fat of the Land a them and they didn't disappoint. Bass wasn't a deep as I'm used to but punchy. I'm only working w/ a Jensen budget cd/mp3 player/usb. 15 watts maybe. I don't crank my music so it didn't distort from where I was sitting. I listened to GaGa's Art Pop and it sounded great. No cracklin', tight bass...so good. When I got into metal like 12 foot Ninja, JinJer and Theory of a Dead man, the clean parts sounded exactly that way. I feel they performed well and if I didn't try to crank it beyond their capacity, I'm happy w/ the sound reproduction. I felt one area where they struggled was with Solace. The bass response couldn't go low enjoy w/o struggling a little bit(cracklin'), as with the electronica scoring of the film, Saw. Overall, I'm enjoying these 25 dollar speakers w/ a 3 year warranty. Where else do you see that today?4TERRIBLE. NOT WORTH IT1 star because I can't rate it 0. THESE ARE AWFUL. Used these in my 2001 Camry, and the process of getting to the point of replacing them is extensive, and when I plugged them into the terminals to test them (before I was going to drill new holes because the harness didn't fit) and the sound from the NEW speakers was even WORSE than the old ones! Thank God I tested them as soon as possible and didn't close everything back up again. NOT WORTH THE MONEY, EFFORT OR TIME.1Okay, sound not very loud UPDATE: Quality and volume is not the best. Okay for the price but would recommend paying more for better quality speakers.Purchased to replace rear factory speakers on my 2005 Toyota Corolla after my rear window broke during hail storm. Original speakers were completely waterlogged.These speakers required an aftermarket adapter also purchased on Amazon. The installation was easy and the sound is decent. I replaced the original honda speakers in my 04 civic and while the mounting holes line up, the "well" where the screws go through are narrower. Also, beware that these may have a bigger magnet then OEM speakers and I have read where some people bent the trunk torsion bars (why?). I used the included machine screws and nuts, added a few washers before sliding the screws through the back deck and raised it the small amount needed so the trunk can close. For the money, I really like the sound and do recommend these speakers.5Clean Rich Sound On A BudgetI have to admit I was never a big fan of BOSS... anything..I ordered some of there stuff years ago when they first came out and I was not impressed...after today, I may change the way I think about BOSS now. I ordered these BOSS Audio CH6930 Chaos Exxtreme for my wife's 2000 civic. I had already installed a new Sony head unit and 2 new Sony 6 1/2 's in the doors. Still it didnt have a very full sound. So I found these. After reading tons of reviews and not wanting to drop more than 50 on another pair of speakers, I rolled the dice on them. It was an easy install on the Civic and after about 30 minutes I had them up and running. Immediately I noticed a huge difference from the stock speakers. I sat there and flipped through a variety of songs and was actually quite impressed. Are they the best? Probably not the best. Do they sound good? Yes they do...Even at pretty loud levels they stood up and didnt crack out like others I have installed. At 150 watts rms I don't have any issues with these as I am only running the stock 52 x 4 watt rms head unit. I thought about installing a small 100 watt rms amp I have laying around but it really didnt need it. Maybe if I was pushing a sub in there it might need it to maintain equal levels of lows, mids and highs. After messing with the head unit settings for about 5 minutes I got the full sound I wanted from the entire system. They look nice however that wasn't a concern for me as they are mounted in a stock location where they aren't seen but if you wanted to mount these in a box they do come with covers which look pretty cool and will protect your shiney new speakers. The terminals feel a bit cheap and flimsy, so be careful installing your wires. But for a budget set of speakers that's almost to be expected.As of right now I am giving the BOSS Audio CH6930 Chaos Exxtreme a 5 star rating. I do review a lot on amazon so if anything changes I will be back to let you know. But right now..I will suggest you check these out if you are looking for a decent speaker that won't break your bank. Sounds great as others have said. I just had to cut the mounting trim rings in half and screw in the speaker to it due to the basket was a hair bigger than the OEM speaker. Easy as can be for mounting. As far as getting the carpet off the back window area... well that took 20 min.; speaker install 15min.; replace carpet 10 min. Cheap speakers for a work car. (30mpg) verses driving my Yukon with Pioneer Deh-p7800 headdeck and Pioneer door speakers and Audiopipe monoblock amp and dvc 12" sub. everyday.5Best bang for your buck!The speakers I ordered arrived today and I installed them in my 2001 Hyundai Tiburon. I replaced the rear 6"x9"s and these speakers sound amazing compared to stock. The best bang for your buck in my opinion. I have a 200 watt receiver, 50x4 with 22 rms. it has the loudness but not enough to push the bass out. definitely get an amp to give a little push. figure 400 watt speaker pair with a 400 watt amp is enough for that push with the extra 50 watts from receiver. do some research on your speakers before you just buy speakers. I have mine hooked up In a 2004 chevy classic sedan, they sound great. Their loud, these BOSS speakers are the start of my system that im building again. once I get the front speakers which will be BOSS it will sound better and clear. subs are what you want for bass so you don't blow these, which I have read people having them blow within x amount of months or what not. I have always bought 6x9 speakers for around 20 bucks and never had an issue. these cost about $30. I can say im happy with them for the loudness and some bass, but I do not plan to run a lot of bass through these. get yourself some couplings if u want that bass or buy a amp and some 10'' subs for bass to get that oomphf your looking for. but yes these are nice speakers. Again just know what your looking for and do some research before you just buy anything, understand what it is you are looking for. even ask a audio tech, most will help you understand your speakers for what you are looking for. overall again, these speakers do sound great! I like to jam out while I drive everywhere I hate going to! However I can confirm, this fit in the back of a 1999 honda civic dx. (Hatchback) The 96-00 honda civics dx's have a similar body type, so it will likely fit those as well. Decent upgrade from factory speakers for a great price. However, the matching 6.5" BOSS Audio CH6520 speakers do not fit in the 99 Honda civic doors. If you want a matched set with the front and back, steer clear of these. 42003 eclipse Spyder owners read and look at pictures The sound quality is top notch I installed these in a 2003 eclipse Spyder GS. They do fit. Kinda. No fault of the speakers holes line up perfect it's the speaker holder on the car I ended up just using the top 2 screws I had to trim the center ring from the panel so the chamber would fit over the speaker 5
