Customer Reviews

The right blade for precise jigsaw cuts. These work beautifully for curves and precise lines in 3/4 MDF. I used these to cut a sweeping 17" diameter offset curve in an arcade cabinet and they worked great. No ragged edges or tearing at all. They also hold their edge very well. I was able to complete the entire project with a single blade. 5great cut with no tear out. I needed to make some cuts in birch plywood that I could only do with a jigsaw. I was worried about tear-out as normally I only use my jigsaw as a rough cutting tool. I thought i'd give these blades a try to see how well they would do. I was extremely impressed. I had zero tear-out going across the grain of the birch plywood veneer on both top and bottom sides of the cut. I had zero burning on the 3/4" plywood and I was going at a pretty slow feed rate. The kerf was very easy to track to the line, assuming the high teeth count helps make it more visible as you cut.I was using a bosch 1590evs saw with the blade orbit option either off or on the lowest setting. I also had the blade precision control on which prevents wander in the blade. I've used other high tooth count blades in this same saw with worse results so I really do feel these blades were the factor in such great cuts. I will definitely not be as hesitant to use my jigsaw in the future now that I have found a blade that seems to provide as clean of cuts as using my other tools. 5WILL DEFINATELY BUY AGAIN. As far as I am concerned this 9" blade is better than advertised. I bought the 9" metal as well as the this 9" wood blade and could not possibly be happier. I gave it five stars because AMAZON doesn't offer ten.UPDATE: I just used both the wood and metal 9" blades to modify a a very OVER-used work bench for a very disabled individual. One aspect required extensive rounding the corners of the work surface. It was loaded with bolts, nails, screws and staples. Two sheets of 3/4" plywood sitting on top of 4" x 5" legs with horizontal framing of 2" x 6". That is a vertical cut of 7" in one pass. All f it reclaimed lumber, i.e: lots of ferrous and non-ferrous surprises. Marked out the radius needed and cut precisely where I marked. Started with the wood blade and when I touched "noise meaning metal" I switched to the metal blade. Back and forth. It did the job so well it took under five minutes per corner to dress them up with a small belt sander 100 grit. THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING PRODUCT. 5Great blades These are pretty good blades. Overall they do a good job with little tearout. I got them to use with my new Porter Cable PC600JS 6 jig saw. For years, I've avoided buying a jig saw because I have this very nice 17" band saw and thought, well why spend the money?Because I had to really. I'm making some mid-century modern "atomic" coffee tables and they're just too cumbersome to put on my saw table and cut out. Hence, the jig saw.I did a couple of table forms with one of these blades and the photo below shows the amount of tearout on the underside. That's unsanded and fresh from the saw. I was impressed with how clean the cut was because, frankly I was expecting a lot worse. :-DWhat you're seeing in this photo wiped off the plywood and the edge was close to pristine. The table top was taped off with blue tape to prevent any tearout and so I don't have any photos of tearout on the top because there isn't any.Very pleased, I knocked the material off with a little 220 grit paper and will be edge-banding and staining tonight.I also like how simple the blade swaps are 4Both sides of the cut are "clean" I've had a Bosch jig saw for many years and I love it. I like the "t" blades for their quick and easy blade changing. While I have a number of Bosch blades for my jig saw, I didn't have this particular one. My current project was installing a Formica countertop in a bathroom. Typically, you make the sink cutout from the bottom. It really doesn't matter whether or not there is tearout on either the top or the bottom since the bottom is not seen and the top cut is covered by the sink rim. Bosch has blades (which I have) that are designed for "smooth" top or "smooth" bottom. Seeing this blade reviewed in a woodworking magazine, I decided to try it on this project for future reference. So, I used it for the sink cutout and it did the job, smooth cut on both sides. I'm not sure I'll live long enough to use all of the blades in this pack, but I was happy with the result for this job. 5Excellent length, perfect for Leatherman Surge. Standard excellent build quality from Bosch. The size can make it difficult to cut precisely.Place saw flat on the surface you are cutting. As many teeth in contact as possible. Pinch hold the spine with one hand and use the other hand to make an initial cut. This guide groove will help prevent the saw from flexing.Very happy with these.Below you can see the Leatherman Surge and compare its default saw with these. There will be some play, because these are thinner than the Surge's saw. It is not too bad, but you can use some tape to fatten the stock and make the fit tighter in the Surge's slot. 5Excellent. Price is Bouncy. .Bosch seems to be the gold standard for jigsaw blades. I'm happy with the sharpness and long-life of these.- - - Pricing - - -You can save money by waiting for price dips. Low tide is about 6.50 - 7.10. I had to cut a 5/8 slot in 12 treated 8x8's. I used a circular saw to make the initial cuts, and then tried to finish the cuts with a sawsall. The sawsall really struggled to finish the cut, and it was a helluva workout. After getting halfway through the first cut, I broke out these blades and used my Festool Carvex to the cut. It worked much better than the sawsall. Don't get me wrong, it was still a struggle , but a whole lot easier than the sawsall.I'm very pleased with the performance of these blades........... it was a very timely purchase. 5These Rock! When I bought a new Makita jigsaw a year ago, I bought a Bosh Variety pack of blades, figuring I'd have what I needed and could sample the different wood blades and find what I liked. I used the "Clean Wood" blades from that pack on some plywood and got wicked tearout and knew there had to be something better out there. After that project I bought these and what a difference! I've used them on a bunch of projects and they've just made my life and my jigsaw work so much easier and cleaner! The last project I used them on had a lot of cuts it 1/4" Birch plywood which was pretty prone to tearout without proper blades and blade depths on my circular and table saws... When it came time to cut out some openings with the jigsaw, these blades passed with flying colors! There was basically no tearout at all, even with the fragile veneer on the birch plywood, and if you let the blade dictate the cut speed and don't force it, it really helped in making straight, precise cuts.I've used these on 1" mdf, pine, and a whole bunch of plywood and I just love them. I don't even mind the price one bit for the cut quality they provide! I'd buy them again at twice thy price if I had to. It's amazing what a half decent jigsaw and some nice blades will do for you. Used to HATE using jigsaws until I got the new saw and new blades. Now I love it!My only wish is that they made a smaller version that could do more finely detailed work. You have to use those really small blades sometimes and they and pretty prone to tearout still. 5Really good for large curves but... The teeth are plenty sharp and the cut is clean - very clean. The bite of the blades is perfect and it follows a line smoothly - like all the Bosch blades I've used. High marks for strength and sharpness. However, the blade is little thick for doing precise (small) turns and curves. It definitely works great for larger curves but you have to really work it for doing detailed precision cuts and tight turns in the wood. This blade does fit in the Bladerunner X2 saw. 4
