    She is very happy with the size after using it on few trips We have few Boogie Boards for the kids. We bought this boogie board for my little one (8 years old) that wanted a smaller size when traveling. She is very happy with the size after using it on few trips.Pro:The contrast is the same as the larger version. We found the pen holder design on this boogie board is better than the larger 8.5" version. I was very disappointed with this baby boogie board. As I cannot speak due to tongue cancer, I have been very grateful for the regular sized boards to help with communication. I bought this small one to fit in a fanny pack as we were going on a trip to Costa Rica and would be hiking,rock climbing and zip lining, activities where I would need my hands free. The very first day of our trip, this little board stopped erasing, leading to a garble of writing on its screen. This has not been my experience with the larger boards which have lasted for months and when they died, just stopped writing .Needless to say I was not a happy camper. 2It was great for a while It was great for a while, my kids loved it. But it does not work anymore. The screen will not reset. Couple of months of use. 3A must have if you have kids! This is possibly one of the greatest things ever invented for kids! I have a toddler who loves this thing! Unlike markers or crayons this is 100% mess free is the perfect size for a small child to use over and over and over. It is super durable and easy to clean. One improvement I would recommend is attaching the pen to the screen with a string since toddlers like to throw things and the pen is small enough to be lost easily, although you can used just about anything as a pen for the boogie board, which is nice. 521st Century "Magic Slate" I was actually considering buying some of those toy "magic slates" when I discovered this, and I'm sooo glad I opted for this. I keep it in my scrubs pocket for quick 'notes to self' while in a patient's room, or for jotting down ventilator settings, HR/RR/PulseOx numbers, etc. in rooms where I don't want to take my clipboard, and I can wipe the Boogie Board with alchohol swabs to clean! 5Died all too soon! This was used about 2 times a month for less than 1/2 hour, for one year. It was only used in church when I was with my grandchildren. So really very little use for it to conk out today. It won't erase, no place to change batteries - is this normal? So I figure about 24 times used, minutes at a time before they played with something else. 2Compact, light, great quiet toy Got 5 of these for quiet church toys for my five kids 5 and under as a Christmas gift (2y,3y,4y, 5y, and 5y). Don t take up much room in my bag, don t have to pick up lots of crayons, don t worry about them marking the pews, don t worry about them ripping up paper for me to pick up. Generally only hold their attention for 10-15 minutes (2yo always has daddy take turns helping her but my oldest will sometimes go a full 30 min), but I d say one of my best ideas so far for managing 5 littles mostly reverently in church. Would also be great on long car drives. Ended up ordering a 6th for my nephews bday and his mom said he used it all day and didn t ask for computer time.
