    no kinks I had the kind of reel that's a frame to wrap a cord around. Each wrap takes about 2 feet of cord and puts one twist in it, so it's about 50 twists in a 100' cord. Everything gets a bit tangled.When the KW-110 arrived, molding bumps kept it from turning a complete revolution smoothly. I removed them with a sharp knife. It works great, winding and unwinding with no twisting. It won't work so smoothly if the sliding surfaces get dirty, but the open design should make it easy to keep clean.Update: My 100' cord filled the reel completely. I was afraid that if I didn't wind it carefully ( too much criss-crossing ), it might not fit. I bought a KW-130 for my 100' cord and use the KW-110 for my 50' cord. I don't have to wind carefully because both reels have room to spare. 5Great kite line winder for my giant kites I use this to hold kite line for my giant kites. I didn't want to pay the extra money to buy expensive kite reel. So I decided to give this cord storage reel a try. I'm glad I did. This makes winding kite string very easy. You have to be careful when you letting out line because this thing is very big and bulky.It can easily hold 3000ft of 1000lb dacron or about 5000ft of 500lb dacron line.I loved the first one I bought so much I end up buying another. I wish they had a smaller version (May be half the size of this one) of this.Again if you use this as a kite line winder for heavy pulling kites proceed with caution because this reel can cause severe damage if not handled properly.I highly recommend this great product. 5Good device for rolling and storing hoses and cords. Check for appropriate size I have several of these as a cabinet installer, that I use to roll out, roll up, and organize all of the air hoses and power cords my partner and I use every day. These are the best portable devices I ve found so far for this and they re pretty cheap yet, last a long time if you don t throw them around (we do). I usually purchase these from a large home supply store so when I purchased these on Amazon, I failed to pay attention to the gauge of material they are meant to wind up. These are not large enough to roll up any heavy gauge (thicker) 100 hoses or cords by about 1/2. I fortunately had a couple of 50 hoses which barely fit into these smaller spools so I didn t bother returning them. Great product but be sure to get the right size. 5Cheap is as Cheap does First off lets start with one of the reels did not come with the small black knob, it probably fell off somewhere. I discovered the reason why when I attempted to use one, they did not thread the screw all the way into the nylon nut, it was like this on both of the ones that still had a knob, so go figure you have a pretty good chance of getting one without a knob. Next on the agenda, one of the handles was not glued or however they hold it together so upon picking up from the box, presto 2 pieces. Out of the 3 purchased I was able to make 2 working items.The molding has many flaws in the raceway for the handle so until you use it a bit it hangs up all the time. It is actually a decent idea that just got lost in the cheapness and laziness of the implementation. It says made in USA on it and what an embarrassment if its true. 2Product arrived and was nearly non functional. How you ... Product arrived and was nearly non functional. How you might ask? See the photo. There's a problem with their tooling that did not knock off all of the parts necessary to allow the reel to spin. There are plastic pieces in the raceway where the handle for the reel should be able to glide freely. With some effort, I should be able to fix this. What should I have expected for $8? 2I was very disappointed. I know I was very disappointed. I know, what do you expect for the price, but the picture is deceiving. There are two nail or hook holes on the back but you can't rolled up a cord on the hook. And the holes don't actually work because the cord (for an advertised 100' cord) impinges the hooks. This product also has small plastic bits that come out from the frame and as you hand roll, which is the way this works, it nicks your hand or arm. When you put this on hooks, it doesn't roll. You have to hold the reel and hand roll the cord prior to trying to place this on hooks or nails. i was very disappointed in this. Spend the extra and get a good reel you can wrap cord on and roll up while stationary on a wall. 1NOT WHAT IS PICTURED AND NOT ASSEMBLED BEWARE - The KW-110 is not what is pictured. The picture is a larger cord reel than what you will actually receive. It is very misleading and deceptive. I purchased this as a replacement for the model that is pictured. What I received barely fits my extension cord. Also, the hand knob was not attached to mine and had some defects in it that had to be fixed before it could be attached. The unit should have come ready to use and should be what is in the picture. I've attached a picture of the actual unity to this review. 2Sort of Works My KW-110 Cord Storage Reel sort-of works. If there is supposed to be a clip inside to hold the "middle" of the power cord, it is missing from my unit. I didn't find a guide on the Bayco website to show the unit from any angle but the one shown on Amazon, so I couldn't see the "clip" other users talked about.To make this one work, I stuck the middle part of the 100' 16-3 power cord out of one of the "side cutout panels" and carefully wound the cable over that onto the reel - the cable was attached to nothing, just sitting on the inside center of the spool. This will probably work until the day that I need to use most of the 100' cable length. When that happens I will have to re-do the process described above. I could probably buy some kind of clip at the local hardware store, drill a hole in the reel, and use it to secure the power cord, but I shouldn't have to. 2Flimsy material, and mine didn't even work Having just received it, now I know why it was so cheap. The one I received simply doesn't work. It locks up after about a quarter turn, which makes it worthless. That aside, I own two other extension cord reels, and this one is inferior both in materials and quality compared to them. It's so flimsy that even if it did work properly, it probably wouldn't last long. It's so cheap that when I went to Amazon to initiate a return, they refunded my money without even requiring me to sent it back. 1Five months later Bought this in March 2016 and have used it about once every week or two since then. Holds up well. The little handle that you use to wind up the cord fell off once but I just tightened it up again and it hasn't been a problem again. I keep it in my backyard shed and the summer heat didn't seem to hurt it any. Using it is pretty straightforward and easy. If you have a long cord like the 100ft one that I have, it will require a little bit of arm strength by the time you're almost done rolling up the cord. But it's a lot faster, neater and convenient than my previous method which was to use my arm and elbow to wrap it. I haven't had to deal with any tangles since purchasing this reel. I'm happy. 5
