Nice and sturdy! It folds from one side so it looked odd to me at first but it actually works very well. very sturdy and easy to install. It attaches to the back of the TV several different ways depending on your model and then that bracket hooks into the mount. I was worried because my other ones click in to the mount and can be done by one person....after i got everything put together this one can as well. It secures with 2 screws to the pivot arm and you're done...... Easy and it looks nice!!! 5Poor design or defective unit This mount shows 4 holes in each end to mount to the wall. Upon receiving ours in had 4 holes in one end and none in the other. We were able to drill our own holes where needed to line up with our studs. Most people would not be able to do this. Furthermore, after hanging it level once the TV set in the unit it hands crooked on the wall. It hangs 3/4 inch lower on one end than the other. There is no adjustment for this. My husband is going to file the steel and try to adapt to hang straight. It s bolted to the wall and we needed to have this project complete...very disappointed. If I had the time to return and start over with another product I would def do it. 1Not as pictured The bracket that I received was not as pictured. According to the Amazon posting this bracket was for 37 to 84 inch TVs by the company Atlantic. What I received was a bracket by at.com for television sizes 19 to 84 in. The flat panel piece that goes to the back of the TV was not as pictured. It did not have the wing tabs to easily adjust the Tilt angle instead it had screws. I had bought the same Atlantic bracket in the past at Walmart so I knew exactly what I should have received. The reason for ordering this bracket again, was for several pieces of this kit to replace pieces from my old bracket that had been misplaced. Of course since the product was different , they didn't match. Buyer beware item is not as pictured. I was wondering why the price was half as much as it is on Walmart. 2I took a chance with this one and it's been great! I have to admit I did a lot of research for a wall mount. I looked at the normal stores and they were so expensive. I took a chance with this one and it's been great! I have to admit, I didn't put set it up; I got it done by a handy man. But he said it was pretty easy to put together. I have a big 55 inch and it needed to be at a weird angle with how my wall meets. So it worked out perfectly!I don't normally even write reviews, but I was very anxious about getting this wall mount. So just wanted to help out someone else... 5After 2.5 years, it doesn t hold in place and useless Works great. It's super awesome.Update:I used to love it until I saw that was in more angle that was supposed to be. It doesn t hold in position anymore. And we don t even turn it around usually!!! So just for being there, it broke. The bad thing, is will need an exact one like this to replace it because the holes are already there!! Con- Depending on your TV, you might not be able to plug in certain cables. We are looking to get right angle cables to plug in component cables from our old game systems. 2Easy to install Easy to install, works great. I have no doubt it would hold much heavier tvs (I have a newer 55 inch which is pretty light). We are currently in a "loft" type living situation and the tv doubles as a living room tv (from the couch) and bedroom tv (from the bed) and we can have it go from against the wall to 75-80ish degrees with the wall to watch. 5So much better than what you can buy in local stores and for far more reasonable pricing! Was VERY easy to assemble and install. It is also far more solid and sturdy than one I had purchased at Wally-world initially which was not only about twice the price, but much less well built and didn't swivel or articulate. It only tilted and the way it was designed, with my TV you HAD to use the spacers improperly which forced a major downward tilt that was completely un-adjustable, not to mention it was a total cluster-**** to assemble and install! Best-Bye was no better really, they were even more expensive for even ones that were obviously flimsy just looking at them, certainly not to be trusted with the cost of a flat-panel TV hanging on it! I think that the big retail stores are charging so much for this type of item because you are essentially a captive audience especially if you are already buying your TV there! They know they can make it seem like they have you by the short and curlies! And in a way they do, since when you buy a TV you typically want to be able to use it right away. You are much much better off being patient for a couple of days and ordering one of these, which are not only significantly less in terms of cost, they are so much better in terms of build quality and ease of assembly/installation that it is worth far more than just the cost-savings to wait the couple days for this to arrive. Or even better, buy this ahead of time, before going to purchase your TV, that way you won't have to wait at all!Buy this and you won't be disappointed!Thank you so much for a great product at a reasonable price-point! This is what these should cost and how they should be made! 5As stated above, study the fastener set up for your TV before running to the store. Think it through, it likely will work. 39" Vizio, 100 X 100 Vesa pattern, flat back.Great product, but don't discount the previous less-than-glowing reviews citing poor instructions. Product good, instructions bleh. Bleh with a thyroid condition. What the heck does "Secure your TV by pushing a lock upwards on the side of the bracket." mean? Uber bleh. Before you go to the Ace hardware to get the proper fasteners, get creative with the spacers and washers provided. What they say is in the package ain't in the package (the stated included M4 X 20 are actually M4 X 30). But 20 mm wouldn't have worked anyway, you actually need what is in there after figuring out the entire Tinker Toy set. Please don't ask me how I know this. If you hold your tongue right it will work. Courage, hang in there, it will work. And once it does this is a Sherman tank of a bracket.Also, the negative comments about it not holding level. Not true, but I see how someone might think that. Install the wall bracket LEVEL. Don't use the *cough* joke "level" they include. Spring for a 2 foot level and get it LEVEL. The TV will then adjust to level if you have properly utilized the locking bolts. Pay attention to the PICTURES on page 12 of the instructions, NOT the verbiage. 5Works great and isn't 1.5 million dollars Works great! The instructions are pretty straightforward with a nuance here or there depending on your spacer requirement (or lack thereof). Other than that, it's a very simple install that anyone with half a brain should be able to do.You'll need a stud finder, drill + bits, measuring tape, Philip's screw driver, and level.You'll also want to pre plan your outlet options. No sense in corner mounting your TV and not hiding your wires. 5Much Better Than I Thought! This is an awesome TV mount. Nice heavy duty construction and heavy weight. A good thing about this mount is that without the TV the swing motion of the mount is very stiff( which I think is good thing). With the TV mounted it swings smoothly and with ease.The one thing I will say about the mount is: since the screws that go into the wall are so long and thick my power drill had a very hard time getting the screws to penetrate the wood studs. I used 3 different sized drivers and they all slipped; not that the screws are a bad choice by Atlantic because I'd much rather have a scew like this than a thinner, less penetrating screw. To get the screws in I just used my ratchet wrench set to punch them through.
