    Great Upgrade For Mid/Late-2007 MacBook Pro! I have a very rare pre-production prototype (red motherboard) Mid/Late-2007 MacBook Pro 2.6GHz 15" laptop. It came with no CD drive, RAM, battery, or HDD. After sourcing NOS parts for the CD drive and battery, I purchased an SSD and this 4GB RAM kit. With the SSD and 4GB of RAM, this machine performs like some new base-model Macs! I initially had a 2GB kit from another Mac of that era, but after installing the SSD, it was quite apparent that the 2GB of RAM was filled up with just Safari running. With this 4GB kit, everything on this machine works great again, and I now proudly display my restored prototype 15" MBP! 5Would recommend this to those who don't want to upgrade yet ... My Mid 2010 Macbook Pro with 4GBs of RAM was in dire need of some more juice. You just need a small (#00) philips screwdriver, anti static solution, and 10 minutes of your time to get these chips in. Saw a huge change in speed already. Would recommend this to those who don't want to upgrade yet to the newer macbooks! These seniors still have a lot in the tank with minor upgrades like this =)! 5WORKS WELL AND EASY TO INSTALL! I ordered them today, got them today, installed them today and started using them today. Really easy to install essentially plug and play. It saved me so much money doing it myself versus paying Apple or another authorized person to do it. The install with a new battery took me about 5 minutes or less. I plugged everything in and then closed the case and now my Macbook Pro runs like new! 5Works in iMac Mid-2011 This was used to upgrade my Mid-2011 "hobby" machine from the 2gb it shipped with; Everything seems to be working well, system registered the RAM on the first boot without and beep codes. Memory check and diagnostics all come back good. While there are certainly much more expensive options out there, I have used A-Tech RAM in several of my older apple machines now, and have never had an issue- for the price and the warranty options you can't go wrong (Assuming you handle and install it correctly). 5Great product! I have a macbook pro A1278 mid ... Great product! I have a macbook pro A1278 mid 2012. It came with 4GB of RAM which is not enough to run El Capitan. I got 2x8GB chips, which i installed myself. It was simple, and was done within 10 minutes. Now my baby is running on lightning speed on 16 GB of RAM! I would certainly recommend this product for anyone who is frustrated with the speed of their macbook pro. 5No!!! I bought this ram because it is cheaper than Crucial. After one week of using my MacBook pro early 2011 the apps were crashing and the laptop continuously rebooted. I thought that was a software problem. I uninstalled all the apps that I had installed and I kept only Apple apps that came with OS-X. I had the same problem. I installed back the old ram and everything was fixed. I wasted my time!!! I do not worry about the money because I created a return ticket, but I really wanted this MacBook done before Christmas. I guess this is a good lesson not to buy things because they are cheaper.... 1Worked wonder in helping resurrect an aging A1342 MacBook I received a dead A1342 - Had to replace the bloated battery, trackpad and cooling fan. Once the thing was back up and running I was, with some fighting, able to get High Sierra to load. But oh my, with only 2GB RAM it was SLLOOOOOWWW. Painfully slow. I couldn't deal with it, a Core 2 Duo may not be a formula 1 car in todays standards, but its not a pinto yet! Anyways, I've used A-Tech RAM on several PC builds/Updates/Repairs so I figured I give it a shot. I ordered 2 of these to bring the MacBook up to 4GB RAM (Supposedly the A1342 CAN go to 8, but I have no need for that much). These made a world of difference. Now the machine is moving along at an acceptable speed.Go for these if you need an INEXPENSIVE (not CHEAP) way to squeak some extra performance out of your aging MacBook. 5Disappointed "in self" Geek!!!! Memory sticks worked as designed. Unfortunately I messed up and bought the wrong pack. I ordered an 8g kit that included 2 4g sticks thinking I got 2 8g sticks. Error was mine. As I had upgraded to High Sierra, I assumed it was teething problems with the new IOS. The crashing problem and freezing became more problematic over time and I tried everything from uninstalling apps to downgrading the IOS. Nothing seemed to work. I have recently found that the 16gig A-Tech memory modules have failed are were the cause to the system crashing all along.My product is out of warranty now, so I don't see myself getting any kind of refund or replacement. My recommendation if you are looking to up-grade is to go to a better brand like Crucial memory. Don't waste your time or money with this product. 1
