Great laptop sleeve for MSI GE73 Raider RGB 8RF!! + Warning on size consideration. I was looking for a solid laptop sleeve for my MSI GE73 Raider RGB 8RF.It has dimensions of 16.5 11.3 1.2 inches (= about 42 29 3 cm)While my laptop is called a 17.3 inch one, it has slightly larger dimensions than other 17.3" laptops. It has large bezel and its thickness is slightly greater. So It was a very hard job for me to find the right one for my laptop. There were a number of 17.3" laptop sleeves sold on Amazon but no seller or customer specified whether they could fit GE73 8RF.I searched over Amazon several days and at least found several items including this one. It seemed it had a more generous size than others. So I purchased this one (1) and one of Arvok 17-17.3 Inch Laptop Sleeve Multi-color & Size NEOPRENE Notebook Computer Notebook pocket (2)( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F6PMYNE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 )I was much disappointed to find that MSI GE73 8RF cannot properly fit into the Arvok 17-17.3 inch NEOPRENE laptop sleeve(2). Although it has slightly expandable rubber-like covers on front and back, enabling minimal expansion, I concluded my laptop could not properly sit in it.And I am so glad that my laptop can be fitted into this Arvox Canvas Fabric Laptop Sleeve. This sleeve has also thick padding on front and back surface. I roughly measured it to be 5~6 mm in thickness. The inner surfaces are lined with very soft material and it is very unlikely that it will scratch laptops. The Canvas cover also looked and felt good.Bottom line : This is a recommendable laptop sleeve with sufficient padding and quality made. It perfectly fits slightly bigger 17.3" laptop including MSI GE73 series. 5Exceptionally well-designed sleeve, offers great protection and looks fantastic Purchased the 17.3" version in black for my 15.6" Acer Aspire E15, figuring the extra room would be useful for holding the charger a portable mouse, and my external HDD. It turns out that 17.3" is much larger than I expected - because I can also fit a small notebook and my entire keyboard (an AUKEY ten-less mechanical keyboard) in it as well, both within the external pocket! Obviously, it probably wasn't intended to carry so many things, and the result is a bit bulky, but I was very surprised still to find out that it can in fact support so many things while still remaining comfortable.The actual sleeve itself is exceptionally well-designed; everything feels seamless and durable, and I'm a very big fan of the canvas exterior, which inspires confidence just by the tactile feeling alone. The interior is lined with a very soft and rather thick material which does an excellent job of providing insular padding for the stuff inside. The twin zippers are easy to grasp and have never once gotten caught; and the teeth are protected by a thick lining which prevents external damage.The exterior pocket isn't lined with any kind of internal material, but nevertheless feels very durable and offers a surprising amount of space. As I said before, I typically use it carry around an external keyboard and a small 124-page notebook, but you can also easily fit in about two composition notebooks and a small pencil case, or even an ultrabook / tablet (I sometimes carry around an ASUS C202SA 11.6" Chromebook in the pocket).The only potential drawback I can think of to this sleeve is that there are no D-rings, which makes mounting a sling or strap rather difficult. However, I bought it knowing that this wasn't a feature offered by it, so this is more of a personal grievance as a result of me underestimating how big 17.3" actually is.Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase. The sleeve is exceptionally well-designed, and for the price, the quality is outstanding. 5A good laptop sleeve for ultrabooks. Could be a little wider mouth and more padding. A pretty good case. The handles are collapsible (cloth) that fit into slots on the side of the case. The inside is a very soft microfiber material that will protect the finish on a computer like a MacBook or aluminum case.There is a little bit extra padding on the base (bottom) of the case, but padding is really the limiter on this case. I would like this to be a few millimeters thicker.The sleeve definitely targets 'ultrabook' style laptops, like the Macbook or similar mid-thickness laptops. If your laptop is very thick, there won't be much room left for it.Also, I used this with an HP system that had plastic 'stripes' on the top. This got caught in the felt and made it hard to slide the laptop in. It works much better with a flat top (metal). 4Perfect, EXCEPT that it opens on only one side. Just got this sleeve bag today, and love it, EXCEPT that it only opens on one side.Outer cover material is just what we like. Like the hide-away handles. Like the exterior pocket and the pockets that the handles hid in. Good fit for our Dell Precision 7530 mobile workstation laptop, which measures 15" wide, 10" deep and 1" thick. Sleeve bag with laptop inside fits into the main compartment of our 5.11 Rush24 backpack. Legal size file folder fits inside the sleeve bag.Hate that it opens only on one side. Appears tough. This is a really nice laptop bag, appears well made, and I like the denim material. The stiffness is great for protection somewhat inflexible. It has a large zip pocket, but it's rather flat, so it may not fit fat or thick items. I bought it for my HP Pro 13", but my laptop is too thick f or this bag. My slim 13" Dell fit but I already have a bag for it. Initially I planned to return it because I found it too inflexible, and I didn't really need it, not that I didn't like it.UPDATE: I received an offer from the seller, to let me keep it and order a new one that would fit my laptop; and if I would change my review to a positive review. I don't think my review was negative at all, the bag just wasn't practical for me. However; I offered it to my daughter, and she loves it. I've added a picture with her laptop in it. It's a Dell 13". I'm waiting to see if they really reverse the charge. 4Great laptop bag, but too bulky to be called a sleeve. For the price this was fantastic bag, and that gives it a 5*, but it's pushing the size\weight to be a sleeve. I wanted a 13 laptop sleeve with pocket and handles and this is the closest I got. I like to put these into a bigger bag when traveling so I prefer it slim and light.It has a ton of extra canvas, which makes it a bit bulky\heavy. They made full panel pockets on both sides for the handles and then a separate zipper pocket too. They used neoprene padding then lined the inside with "fur". I would have paid the same price for a simple neoprene sleeve with pocket\handles without the extra bulk.If you are looking for more of a very well made bag you will be thrilled with this, but as a light laptop sleeve it is not. 5Light weight and nice looking. It's decent. I thought it would be a little more "rigid" to protect the laptop better, but it's basically a case to carry it. It's really soft, so don't bang it against anything or your laptop could be damaged.The zipper is already failing. It has gotten hard to unzip and you can "see" the zipper is starting to show signs of wear and I have used it maybe 6 or 7 times.****EDIT****I wanted to update this review to include the customer service side of this issue. It has been outstanding. They reached out to me to correct the problem. They sent me a new sleeve and although it is the same item, you can see that they want to make this right.So, let me post this: If you are looking for a convenient way to tote around your laptop/pad, this will be great. But remember, it doesn't offer impact protection. It is soft and isn't reinforced to protect against accidental drops, bangs, ect.. 5Exactly what I was looking for This Arvok is a beautiful case, exactly what I was looking for, and a bargain at $15.99. It fits my 15.6 inch Dell Inspiron 3000 perfectly. I wanted a zipper sleeve (NOT a briefcase) that would fit into my backpack, padded for protection but not too thick (since it'll be in my pack), water resistant, with handles that can be tucked away, and a big zippered side pocket to hold all of the computer cords, mouse, etc. Most important, I wanted it to ONLY open at the TOP - which this one does. No wrap-around zipper, so there's no chance of forgetting to zip the case properly and the laptop falling out the bottom - a serious design flaw in many of the available cases. Even if I left the Arvok open, as long as I pick it up by the handles, everything is fine. The Arvok seems well-made, and the zippers work really well. The zipper side pocket has tons of room. And bonus, there are pockets on both sides where the handles tuck in, big ones the full size of the laptop sleeve. The only issue is the color - it's navy, not the brighter royal blue like in the picture. Royal blue would've been nicer, but I won't mark it down for that, because at least it's not black. I'll update this review if any issue crop up, but this Arvok is a highly functional case, suitable for the general use I have planned. RECOMMENDED. 5I like that I can hide the handles if I don't ... Firstly this item arrived on time actually a day early.It fits my Lenovo 17.3 G70 Laptop perfectly as well as my wireless mouse and the charger.I like that I can hide the handles if I don't need them.The stitching is great quality with the main and second zippers are practically stitched to be invisible.The inner lining is great soft wont scratch your machine at all and its well padded.I wasn't sure how it could be water proof, so of course I tested it (used a spray bottle to simulate as close as I could get to getting somewhat wet running from the rain) and though the outside was left somewhat damp after brushing off the sprinklings of water with my hand the insides were dry and safe. Also the outside dried off pretty fast as well.The one thing I didn't like so much is the color its kind of dull, and the fabric is a lint magnet, I had to use my lint brush on it the very first day.But all in all very nice product which achieves it main functions to carry my laptop safely and compact. 4Color of zipper doesn't match color of bag. It seems like a pretty good size for my Dell Inspiron 7000 laptop. It's a little wide, but that's not too bad. The zippered pocket seems like a good size for the power cord and a small mouse. You don't see the color mismatch of the zipper of the pocket because there are plackets that hide the zipper fabric that surrounds the teeth.But on the top, where it's most visible, the bright red of the zipper fabric is in contrast to the wine red of the bag. This zipper extends all across the top and about 3 1/2 inches down from the top on both sides of the bag. If they had used a totally different color for accent, I think it might have been better. But I really don't like the look of this bag with the dull bag color and bright zipper.I wonder if other colors are as poorly matched. 3
