Nice screen protector, easier installation I have previously used the Tech Armor screen shields but decided to give this a try - I had good success with the Tech Armor products but decided to try something that promised more protection. To be fair, I don't really expect a screen protector to protect my iPad from screen breakage if I drop it on the screen, mainly to protect it from scratches or glancing blows.One difference with this product is you only get one shield, not 2 or 3 as you get form other vendors. However, this screen shield is noticeably thicker from the Tech Armor product and is more flexible and vinyl-like. Other protectors I have used are thin, relatively stiff plastic sheets.Secondly, to install this protector you use the included spray bottle to lightly wet down the face of the protector and the iPad screen. It felt weird to spray my tablet with water but it worked fine, and it does let you adjust the placement of the protector after you place it on the screen. I was able to nudge the protector into an almost perfect alignment. In my experience, there is no such thing as an 'easy' screen protector installation - they are all tricky. But this one is a bit easier because you have time to adjust it.You do need to let the device sit for 24 hours after installation for best results (this is the flip side of the easier installation - the opportunity to adjust the fit also means it needs to dry). Some other reviewers have complained about this - my response would be, do some reading of the reviews/comments before you buy, or watch the install video before ordering. It's not that big an inconvenience, just plan your installation accordingly. I DO recommend you watch the installation video on YouTube, it's very helpful.One last suggestion I learned a long time ago: When you are ready to install a screen protector, turn your shower on hot in your bathroom until it's nice and steamy. Then, install the protector inside the steamy bathroom. The steam helps make dust in the air settle out, so there's less chance for a piece of dust getting trapped on the screen. 5Simply the best screen protector I've ever tried. Goes on easy, flawless, and protects like no other! This is my second ArmorSuit Military Shield product review. My first experience with this product was a purchase for my Google Nexus 7" tablet. That was a perfect experience. This film goes on super easy, and there's no problem trying over and over to get the bubbles out. The application involves cleaning off your screen face, using the spray application bottle to wet the surfaces, and applying the film. The film fit matched perfectly to both of the devices I've used to on. The film has gone on easily and has been bubble free once dried. Once the film is on, the screen is very well protected. I don't know what the film material is, but it is super tough, durable, and resists any type of abrasion or scratches. It seems less like a flexible plastic, and more like a hardened coating. I've never tried to remove it so I can't say more. It has been about a year since I've first used this product and I'm 100% satisfied. So satisfied that I will only use this product as a screen protector for all my devices going forward. It's that good. 5Best Screen protector out there ArmorSuit Military Shield screen protectors are the ONLY ones I use on every single device I own - all 6 tablets. I used to be apprehensive about using the "wet type" screen protectors because I get nervous having any type of liquid come in contact with my devices but I have had ZERO issues with ArmorSuit's products. I even over-saturate my device and protector film and still nothing has gone wrong with any of my technology. After years of frustrations using the static cling protectors and getting lint trapped under them because I can never align them properly, using ArmorSuit has been a godsend. Having the ability to reposition the screen protector due to the liquid agent has resulted in perfect installations every single time! I recommend this product every day, all day. 5The best one I've seen. I have always dreaded putting screen covers on my devices, but this was relatively painless. The fluid that is provided helps keep any dust or fingerprints off of the film, while allowing you to use your hands to accuarately put it on, rather than having to barely touch the edges like the lesser quality screen protectors. There were a few small bubbles left over, but within 3 or 4 days, the screen was flawless. Great price also! 5Excellent Value and Results! I was burned by buying a ZAGG screeen protector for over three times this cost at Best Buy. When that product ended up being a disaster I bought an ArmorSuit screen protector. As in the past, with other divices I own, this screeen protector went on easy and looks great. My iPad Air now has the protection that I wanted. The instructions and installation kit make using this product a breeze. It comes with clearly written and through instructions. You get spray on application liquid, a small rubber-like squeegee and a lint-free cloth. Apply the screen protector, slide it into place, squeegee out the excess liquid and bubbles. I let it set over night and what initially looked like streaks vanished. You can't even tell I have a screen protector on the iPad unless you know to look for it. A wonderful product. I have never had anything but excellent results with the products I have bought from ArmorSuit. 5Excellent screen protector for ipad2 This screen protector has been great (once I got it on). If you've ever installed protective film in your house windows, this can be applied exactly the same way. Don't be afraid to spray the included liquid right onto the device (just try not to saturate the device and be sure that it is turned off for the install). Took me a couple of attempts and resets before I recognized how it should go on, but once I did, I sprayed the film, sprayed my ipad2 - and set the film. Then carefully gripping the film and ipad2, squeegee out excess liquid and then set down to dry. Perfect results. Can't even tell I pulled the film off several times. Love how it doesn't pick up finger prints. Just a bit disappointed only one film comes in the case, but with the lifetime replacement - I don't think I'll need more than one or 2 in my lifetime. The wet process, although somewhat messy, seems to works better at making sure no dust gets underneath and allows for perfect alignment because the screen protector can slide around while you position it. I ordered this for my new 2018 iPad with the Apple Pencil because from prior experience this type of material has some level of drag to it. It's not completely slippery like the other film or glass protectors and I didn't want to sacrifice clarity by using a matte screen protector. To that extent, this screen protector works well.HOWEVER...The greatest shortcoming of this screen protector, to no fault of its own, is that it extends too close towards the edges of the screen. That would actually be a great feature in most circumstances but if you are using a case with your iPad, the lip of the case will rub up against the screen protector and cause it to lift and it looks absolutely awful. If they had just made it a MM shorter on each edge, it would be perfect. As such, I will have to remove it and use something else.TL;DR Great screen protector but do not buy if you plan on using it with a case. 3Using your iPad like Apple Indended If you are picky like me and are looking for great value when making a purchase, look no further!This screen protector is better than the Zagg at Retailers like Best Buy but costs less than half. It is not as sticky to the touch and doesn't inhibit pressing the screen. My experience with other Military Grade protectors is that you have to hit the screen really hard to select what you are pressing on. And others dont allow you to slide your finger accross the screen without experiencing drag. Shouldn't a touch screen be user friendly? Putting on this screen protector will still let you use the iPad like Apple intended without worrying about damaging the screen. Other cheap protectors just don't work well, I had another before this because I was trying to get a deal...not worth it at all! Spend the middle amount of money and you will realize that this is the best value out there.As far as installing...be patient, deliberate, and follow the instructions! I work installing pinstripes and graphics on cars and vinyl signs. Very similar, but even easier. You will get no bubbles if you do it right, and even if you get small bubbles the product breathes so you won't see them in the morning. If you are intimidated...don't install, get a friend or spouse who is attentive to detail and precise. Even a numbers person should be able to install, someone who enjoys tedious things...just don't be in a hurry and use enough liquid.Get this screen protector, you will not be disappointed. 5GREAT PRODUCT I have always loved ANY kind of gadgets - the more expensive, the better! But, at the same time, you have to pay the extra money to protect delicate easy-to-break/scratch electronic items. The case I bought for my new iPad Air 2 is perfect but it didn't come with a screen protector. After asking around, several of my friends told me about ArmorSuit. For the money, I thought this was a great buy......UNTIL I opened the package! The included instructions were so intimidating that I just put the thing on the bookcase for over two weeks. Then I saw that there were several instruction videos on YouTube. The one created by ArmorSuit is the best, of course. Short and succinct, with a narrator who has a soothing voice - which is needed since applying this protector is quite a feat. You have to spray your hands, the screen protector and the tablet with the included liquid which makes it easier to avoid fingerprints on the protector and, if needed, to remove and reposition the sheet. The thing that was hardest for me is the requisite "clean, dust free environment". I live in Phoenix, the dirtiest, dustiest place on earth! I had to pick a day that wasn't windy at all, make sure that all of my windows were closed and keep the AC off for fear it would kick up dust and sand inside my place - something that happens here no matter how diligent a homemaker we are.Anyway, after watching the video twice, I jumped into the "deep end of the pool"! I got the protector attached after just two attempts. Use the spray liberally because it enables the sheet to slide easily for positioning. So far, I am very pleased with the end result. The protector is clear with no loss of touch. After the overnight drying period, I noticed that, in spite of my best efforts, there was a dog hair underneath the protector, very noticeable on the white frame. It didn't affect the viewing area at all but, being OCD, I couldn't stand that teeny tiny hair! Using the liquid, I sprayed my fingertips and pulled the corner of the sheet up. After rewetting just that corner, I slid the hair off and squeegeed the sheet back in place. PERFECT!!! I would definitely recommend this product. 5Recent Convert!! For starters, I was VERY hesitant about this product even before purchasing it. I had been duped into one of those "3 per pack!!" bargains that turned out to be nothing more than additonal trash added to my garbage can. After 2 tries and still seeing thousands of irritating bubbles I gave up.Then, I bought an iVisor which fit perfectly within seconds of application and left NO bubbles or smudges on my iPad screen! I was elated until a couple of weeks later when the matte screen started to bug me and I began longing for the pristine glassy surface the iPad was meant to be appreciated for.Enter the Armor Shield. I read MANY positive reviews and was inrigued by the application process involving liquid so I decided to give it a chance. I eagerly waited til the evening hours so that I would be able to let the skin set overnight. I watched the Youtube video twice, paying close attention to detail. My 4 year old son watched in wonder as his mom sprayed everything in sight then slowly peeled the covering off the paper, applying it to the front of his favorite entertainment device. I instantly panicked - there were DOZENS of bubbles and many awful-looking smudges all over the screen despite my efforts using the squeegee!! Did I do something wrong?? But, I encouraged myself to relax and calm down, knowing that this was all part of the process.So now here I am just over 24 hours later and WOW! What a difference!! My screen is 99% clear of ALL bubbles and smudges and I am absolutely floored! A previous reviewer had said it worked like magic and they weren't kiddin'. I took out the micro-fiber cloth and wiped the skin clean when I noticed - OH NO - my fingernails had created a small group of scratches!! Again, I took a deep breath reassured that the skin would "heal itself" over time. And once I held my sparkling, shiny, beautiful, "like-new" iPad up to the light I felt a sense of accomplishment as a smile creeped onto my face. I had done it!After my first unsuccessful purchase followed by a disappointing attempt at a matte-screen skin I had finally fallen in love with a skin that preserved the integrity of my most beloved tool.I had searched long and hard for this product and am relieved as well as proud to say: this is the one.Anyone out there who wants to protect their iPad screen yet still be able to enjoy its beautiful, high quality graphics need look no further. And the price, compared to some more expensive options, simply cannot be beat. If you're questioning this buy consider this question: can you really do better than a LIFETIME GUARANTEE anywhere else?? Go for it - like me, you'll be glad you did. 5
