Satisfied-Improved Performance Easy to install in my macbook 2010 model.Updated to this 4GB from 2GB - Big difference in performance. Faster loading apps, more tabs opened. Running smooth. I have 4 app's open now and my browser has 15 tabs open and running fine.Great price and worth it for this performance boost.Apple Memory Module 4GB 1066MHz DDR3 (PC3-8500) - 2x2GB SO-DIMMs 5Increased Performance I was looking to upgrade the RAM in my late 2008 Aluminum MacBook. I have never had a problem with this computer but load time was becoming a problem when opening/using multtiple applications. I did a little research and found the factory upgrade to 4GB was about $100 on the "A" store. Came to Amazon and found the same (I think) product at a fraction of the price. I installed these yesterday and have noticed a significant increase in performance. I am very satisfied with this purchase. 5Fantastic price to upgrade your Apple Laptop for less With the looming OSX Mavericks coming in a week, I decided to upgrade my late 2008 Aluminum Macbook from factory installed 2GB to 4GB to speed up my computer. Now, memory RAM is needed in order to open multiple applications (documents, pdfs, internet, powerpoint) simultaneously on your laptop without lag. In this day and age, 4GB ram is the minimum needed to run software smoothly, in my opinion. The 2x2gb kit came in a sealed aluminum package and they are as advertised - 2 x 2GB DDR3 1066 MHz ram (seller was 4AllDeals), although the circuit boards were slightly different from each other (shown on the image I have uploaded). After you look up on how to install memory on the Macbook, the install was a breeze.PROS:-SAMSUNG memory RAM-expands my Apple laptop to maximum allowed RAM (from 2GB to 4GB)-compatible with the Late 2008 Aluminum Macbook-price is fraction of the cost compared to elsewhereCONS:-noneOverall, I really liked this product and now my computer is optimized and almost as new. I would recommend this memory upgrade for those waiting to install the upcoming OSX Mavericks on their Apple laptops. 5Wow, a big improvement in speed! Upgraded my 10 year old MacBook from 2 to 4 GB with this module kit. My computer was getting slower and slower. I went through cleanup and performance improvement procedures like deleting unused files, changing settings, etc, which did help but upgrading the RAM made the biggest difference by far. It's like having a new computer for $16 and 15 minutes of work. The instructions can be found in the "About this Mac" under "Memory" and all I needed was a small screwdriver. Removing the old chips and installing the new ones takes literally a minute or two. If your MacBook has been acting like it is dragging an anchor around, open the Activity Monitor and check the memory pressure. It will tell you if your memory is being maxed out. 5Works great in my Late 2009 iMac After struggling with my sluggish iMac for years, it dawned on me to check the memory. It had 4GB installed out of 16. I just installed this additional 2x2GB package (8GB total now) and I can see and feel the difference. It's way more zippy than before! Ahh, I can bear to use this iMac for a while longer. 5A little effort for a big improvement so far so good, the installation while simple, (there's a guide you can down load from Apple Support as there are no directirons provided by the shipper), requires special positioning while you insert the memory card. Once you start the card in you must tilt it down very slightly and then push in and up to get it under the card above and in line for the many pins to insert (take a look in the space with a flashlite first to see where the pins must go). Then you continue to push until it's almost in, then one last push where you will FEEL IT seat into the holes of the pins. It should appear to be in place like the previously installed card above. Don't get frustrated, you may have to switch the cards (left to right, right to left) before you get that final "click" and they fit properly. Hope this helps because once you've done it it will be a simple move in the future. Oh, by the way, the 4G set (two 2G's) have had a very appreciable effect on the speed of my late 2009 MAC. The cards increased my RAM to 8G's from the original 4G's. The improvement will be instantly obvious. 5but they fit fine and the system recognizes them without issue I added these to the stock 2x2GB in a 2009 27" iMac with no problems. I've heard that macs can be somewhat finnicky with regard to different brands of ram, and these look slightly different than the stock ones (on the 2009 imac at least), but they fit fine and the system recognizes them without issue. I would definitely recommend them if you're looking to upgrade a mac that needs 1066MHz DDR3 modules 5Great for iMac Arrived quickly and installed without issue. I have a late 2009 27" iMac. After reading the description for several different types of memory I selected this. I know this is used for some laptops, but if you want to expand your desktop and it asks for 1066(1067)MHz memory that's DDR3, than this will fit the bill. 5Great for iMac, here are some useful tips for installation Works great on my late 2009 iMac and greatly reduced lag. Be advised there are 4 steps you should perform to install these properly in an iMac:(1) Use a precision philips screwdriver to remove the panel, and be careful to avoid stripping the screws(2) Vacuum out the lint once the panel is off--there may be a lot!(3) Check that the recessed notch in the end of the new RAM module board aligns with the notch in the computer port(4) Once you are 100% confirmed on alignment, be ready to apply more force than anticipated to "click" the modules into place 5You can do this this......... Just take your time and you can do this (no need to pay a professional).........lay a white towel on the floor and turn your MacBook upside down on the towel. You will need a small Phillips head screw driver. Start by unscrewing the tiny screws on the back of your MacBook (don't worry about losing a screw..........your white towel will make your tiny screws visible if one should come out. Once you have removed all the screws, you may find one or two screws which are long screws (unscrew them, but leave them in the bottom cover, as this will help during re-installalation of the bottom cover)......then look for the memory modules (they will look like what you are about to install). The old memory modules are easy to see and held in place by clips on each side. Pull outward on the clips and the old memory can then be removed. Install your two new memory modules with the same spring loaded clips, and re-install the bottom cover with the screws and you have upgraded your memory to 4GB........easy! 5
