Customer Reviews

1 year of use, no options for exchange after breaking. Amp worked fantastic after a year of use....HOWEVER....Amp kept shutting on and off, overpowering randomly, and doing not normal things. This was after a professional install at an Authorized Alpine deadlier. After being diagnosed by a different authorized dealer as a defective amp that likely isn t worth fixing, I unfortunately have to give it one star. Amazon was not flexible on exchanging after 1 year, even with professional install. The majority of these amps are great, but the duds are there, and I got one of them. Side note: My father runs this amp and it s been working fine for 2+ years. 2Compact size with big power After nearly 20 years, my old Sony 27 x 4 amp gave up the ghost. I went with this Alpine as a replacement. So far, I couldn't be happier. Installation was a snap and took me all of 15 minutes as I used my existing wiring. It has nearly twice the power of the old amp and produces clear, crisp music.I mounted it under the passenger seat in my truck as that's where the original amount was, and the existing wires. You can spend more on an ampliforer, but why? For your average guy with just about any system, this Alpine does the job. 5It's an Alpine... So far so good There were cheaper amps that allegedly provided higher power output and such but I decided to go with something I knew was quality. I also had been running alpine stereo system in my other car. So I spent a little more and went with this Alpine 4 channel and I can't say I regret it at all. I've got Infinity Kappas that want 100RMS but this amp handles them like a champ with no distortion or clipping. I had a whole rewiring job done and slapped this Alpine into the mix for my mids/highs and the shop said this amp should handle the speakers no problem, and it does. Been running in there for about 2 weeks and cranked it a couple times, so far it handles well. 5Fantastic 4 channel amp Fantastic 4 channel amp! Works great in my 2015 F-150. It fits nicely under the front passenger seat. I'm using it to power a pair of Infinity Reference 6x9 components and a 10 inch sealed subwoofer. I had another one of these in an 08 Escape powering two pairs of 6x8 Infinity Kappas. In both setups, the amp provided more than enough power at high volumes and maintains a very clean sound. 5Alpine, im still loving them after 20 years Great amp for door speakersI am pushing 4 6x8 type r and they sound outstanding. Like most name brand amps, this was rated at 103 watts per channel at 2ohms. I was happy because while 50 is fine I did consider a higher amp to get closer to the 100 mark. I have the m500 for the sub and again glad I went with 2 separate amps instead of combined. Clean power = quality music 5Great amp at a bargain price I bought this amp to power 4 JL audio speakers. The Alpine head unit I have provides a maximum of 18 watts RMS/channel. This amp helps the head unit power the speakers by adding 50 watts RMS/channel. And the added power is clean and precise. I can detect no hum, static, or distortion, even at high listening levels. This little amp is a bargain. I would buy it again without hesitation. If you are looking for good, clean sound, look no further. This one will not disappoint. 5I was pleasantly amazed at the audio fidelity! Just had installed for 2 days so far and it sounds fantastic! The fidelity of this amp was very, very good for the pricepoint, design/construction is great and it has an excellent feature set for configuring to the various install scenarios you might encounter. I was looking for something not too expensive to get rid of the nasty distortion at barely audible listening levels I was experiencing with a "high power" aftermarket head unit and this delivers clean, accurate audio with a some extra power on tap to render dynamics! Nice. Just the ticket to breathe a little life into the typical under spec'd car stereo system. 5MRV-F300 Very compact class D amp. For it's price range has good signal to noise ratio, okay rms output @ 50 wrms at 4 ohms per channel and 150 wrms at 4 ohms bridged. Was looking at pioneer 8604 at similar price range which has better output but less signal to noise ratio. Depending if going spl or sq, this is more sq than spl. For my liking as this is subjective on preference, I'd rather have a little more spl than sq as powering my 8" kicker sub bridged at 4 ohms, doesn't push as much as I would want it to. And yes I set the gains and eq on my Alpine amp accordingly to right before clipping to maximize output. But all and all a good amp in a compact form for class D amp for the price. 4Great amp! Fairly straight-forward install. Main drawback are the set screw terminals. fork terminals would be more secure.Other than that, this is a quality, powerful amp. It's installed in my 2018 mazda 3 non-bose, with focal components up front and morel coaxials in the rear. It gives them a nice mid-bass thump that I can feel through the seats. It's small enough to fit under the passenger seat and it has never gotten so much as lukewarm. The amp itself is virtually silent with no signal going through it, so be sure to pair it with a good clean source. For the power cables, I used 4 gauge cables which just barely fit. They're probably overkill and I would recommend 6-8 gauge for ease of installation.Paired with a PAC AOEM-MAZ2 line-out converter.EDIT: Replace the PAC AOEM-MAZ2 with a LC2i and it sounds even better. 5This Alpine IMO is just as good as the JL at about half the cost Have this amp biamped to a set of high end two way components. After the JL 300/4 I had pushing them went out I needed a replacement. This Alpine IMO is just as good as the JL at about half the cost. I absolutely love the compact size as I can hide it in spaces that class AB amps cannot be hidden. Sound quality is just as good as any of the best amps I've owned over 20 years in car audio. 5
