    Incredible quality for the price I was looking around for some designs for goggles, and these were one of the first I found. After seeing the price and the other reviews of their quality, I bought them immediately.Well to be honest, I bought 3.The shipping price was more than the item, which sometimes makes me wonder about what I'm buying. "sure you can return the item, but most of the cost is in the shipping" Whenever I see high shipping price, i buy in bulk.I was anticipating some uncomfortable hard plastic easily chipped eye cups, but was very wrong. They are quite comfortable, easily adjustable, and feel natural after a few minutes of wearing them. Only downside to them is the width of the plastic sheath for the ball chain for the nose bridge being slightly too long. I imagine a sharp knife can easily fix that issue, and thus i don't consider it a flaw.I'm not even sure why i bought them, other than i knew i had to have them. If you're looking for something inexpensive but very solid construction, these are your goggles. 5They may be cheap, but you'd never guess by looking at them. When this first arrived I was surprised by the quality of the product. For $5 I was expecting basically a flimsy plastic toy, but the goggles are actually very sturdy and well made.The ends of the goggles can be unscrewed and the lenses swapped out, not that there's any reason to actually do that, unscrewing the ends is also how you adjust the length of the chain connecting the eyepieces, a little unintuitive but it works well.The actual goggles look nice, they're large and goggley looking, so if you're buying them for aesthetic purposes they should suit you. They actually dim you vision quite a bit, more than sunglasses, so I wouldn't be surprised if they could actually protect your eyes a little bit from bright lights as well as debree coming at your face. All this being said I wouldn't recommend these as a first choice if eye protection is your main concern.The strap going around the back is by far the cheapest part of the goggles, and is pretty bad. Fortunately it can also be easily swapped out for a better one which I would recommend doing if you plan to wear these a lot.The only real issue I have with these goggles is they aren't the most comfortable to wear for extended periods, the part of them that presses against the rim of your eyes and on your nose are made from the same hard plastic as the rest of it. It's not painful mind you, but I imagine if I wore these for more than an hour I'd probably get a headache. Don't wear them too tightly.Overall though this is a very good deal. If your looking for a pair of large circular goggles it's difficult to imagine how you could not be satisfied by these. 4If you want these as a costume then they're perfect. But if you're like me an want to ... Man. If you want these as a costume then they're perfect. But if you're like me an want to wear these in the summer as shades then man, they are really just.... not BAD but you'll have to do some work on them. Piece between the eyes is kinda really long and is this ball chain material that doesn't adjust. So the middle piece doesn't adjust. The lenses are pretty big. Like they aren't really proportionate and I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. They aren't THAT hard to see through especially if its really bright out but theres like a greenish tint which isn't too bad. This product is between "ok" and "almost bad". not sure how I feel about them . ': | 3Decent These are pretty funny. They look good on, and are pretty stretchy and comfortable. Up close they look cheap bc there's this bright silver beaded line holding them together over the nose that isn't covered well and the eyes are like recycled bottle tops... But for a one time costume and the price I'm happy with the purchase. 4Spider man Perfect for the spider man costume I was making! 5Good for a costume I ordered these to go with my female ghostbusters costume, but didn't get to use, because the costume was poor quality and I had to return it. I had no other need for these and wanted to return them, but the return shipping was more than I paid for them so I had to keep them. Perhaps they will come in handy for another costume in the future (I'm thinking steam punk). They are perfect for a costume, but unfortunately not anything else. 3Glass is extremely suspect The frames seem adequate for occasional use but the glass itself is suspect. I couldn't find any markings to positively identify it as #14 glass. The glass is also quite thin compared to regular welding glass (perhaps half the normal thickness). The glass blocks a little more light than glacier glasses, but in full sunlight trees and other features are visible. With #14 glass, everything except for a light source should not be visible.I wouldn't use this product for eclipse viewing as-is.The #14 aftermarket glass that I used to replace the lenses in these goggles transmits far less light than the lens supplied by the manufacturer. 3Awesome I am a materials chemist and went on a bit of a binge buying eccentric goggles. These are pretty awesome. The lenses actually have two lenses for each eye: a darker lens (like sunglasses) and a standard clear lens. The darker lens can be removed by unscrewing the caps around the eyes, but one of the sides rattles a bit from the cap not having a tight seal on the one lens. The other side secures just fine, though. I have no idea if these are satisfactory for laser work, but I imagine the lenses could be upgraded for that purpose. But, who am I kidding? I bought these so that I could look like a super villain when taking breaks. 5Buy it now... FOR SCIENCE! A wonderful set of goggles. The black bar in between uses a beaded chain to allow for whatever length of nose size suits you. The elastic band is perhaps the best I've seen for Welding Cup style goggles (Steampunk though :D ) so far. The lens need to both be in the cup however, as it rattles with the space left over. I intend to but some EL Wire in mine, so this rattling for me isn't a problem as of now. However, be aware that the two little discs on the sides of each cup NEED to be taken off before you put them on. Why? Because due to the amount of hear your body releases normally, will build inside the cup(s) and fog up the inside of the glass. I figured this out first hand, but others may not know. The lens are VERY high quality. I dropped the lens (while adjusting the length) onto hard tile, and it remained perfect, well, a little dust, but that's from me not dusting the place too often.If your lens get dirty, DO NOT USE WINDOW CLEANER. Use a sunglasses lens wipe, or a t-shirt. Trust me.All in all, a very awesome, very durable, very stylish set of goggles. It's also a great conversation starter... it grabs the ladies attention. ;)Though they usually think you're weird for wearing it in public. Doesn't stop me, I wear 'em everyday. 4Shade #5 Lenses x 3 = Shade #15 Eclipse Goggles! I took the dark lenses from three pairs and layered them inside the frames, and they were PERFECT for watching the eclipse! The people I viewed the eclipse with had ordered the official paper glasses, and I ran out of time. My solution looked a little over the top and steampunk compared with theirs, but they all took turns with these goggles because there was no risk of accidentally staring at the sun from around the edges of the paper glasses in these. A worthy investment, and I will definitely be saving these for the next eclipse! 5
