Customer Reviews

Great little fan! Great little fan! When my basement was changed into a family room, some water pipes were routed on top of the sill plate above the ceiling. If the outside temp goes below 20 for any length of time, those pipes freeze. I cut a 2.5" hole in a plastic access panel and installed one of these fans. Plugged into a WILLHI WH1436A 110V - 240V Digital Temperature Controller, the fan comes on when the temp sensor reaches 35, and shuts off when its raised to 45. I'd recommend these emphatically! It is quiet and moves a fair amount of air.Note to seller - You should indicate that this comes with 4 ea. RUBBER mounting washers which eliminates the need to purchase a separate vibration/noise insulating gasket. 5Ham Radio Cooling Fan The other day after leaving my multiple-unit Ham Radio bench running all day I was surprised to find that my Astron Power Supply was too hot to touch and my four Alinco Mobiles were also very hot (440/144, 222, 6m FM & 10m FM for the Hams). I normally don't run the radios all day and as they were on receive-only for the majority of the time consuming a minimum of current, I guess the lack of ventilation in the tight confines of my ham bench allowed the heat to build up to near critical levels during the long hours of receive-only activity. The heat build-up really surprised me.In an attempt to facilitate some cooling, I purchased a single AC Infinity LS8038A-X Cooling Fan and literally just set it at the rear of one of the shelves and turned it on. Much to my amazement, the fan has managed to keep the heat build-up under control on 3 levels of radios. There's a small amount of "air space" where the horizontal shelves meets the vertical backboard and this inter-shelf air leakage which is minimal, is enough for sufficient air to pass between horizontal shelves and keep 3 shelves of radios and a power supply cool. So, with no ducting, engineering or cutting of shelves for air ducts, the little fan is cooling my ham bench and I'm a happy radio guy.For Video enter; "AC Infinity Cooling Fan" in the YouTube Search Box. 5Excellent For a Reptile Egg Incubator Fan I m using 2 of these fans in a homemade incubator for ball python eggs. They are in the testing phase right now and have been performing great. They have been running constantly now for 3 months straight. 24/7. The fans are smooth running and just as quiet as they were on day 1, which is silent. The gentle flow of air inside the box keeps the heat at a very steady temperature with little fluctuation. The cord attaches with a friction clip and seems very secure. It was actually a somewhat of a challenge to attach but that is a good thing. The cords are only 4ft long but that was just fine for my application since I was plugging into a surge suppressor with a longer cord anyway. Of the 2 fans that I purchased, one mounting hole was out of alignment. It was easily fixed by using a drill and appropriately sized drill bit. The included mounting screws were plenty long enough to attach the fan to a piece of material. So far I am very satisfied with these fans and definitely would purchase them again. 5Quiet Ball Bearing Cooling Fan Time will tell on it's durability, but considering the motor is supported by ball bearings then I should get many long hours of service from it. I was using my old Radio Shack AC powered sleeve bearing (bushing) cooling fan but it has many long hard hours of service and the bushings have bound up. Though I have taken it apart many times to clean & relube the bushings, the motor is just too noisy. I was using the fan to cool my Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus for more accurate indoor temperature and humidity readings. Not sure why the pre-owned wired console display is producing some heat. So I got this new AC cooling fan supported with ball bearings to replace the Radio Shack fan. It's nice that it comes with it's own power cord that plugs into the unit and also comes with TWO fan guards AND mounting screws with rubber washers (if it were to be mounted to a case). That's very convenient. I hardly hear the fan run. And the price is reasonable too considering I paid $24.99 for the Radio Shack fan back in 1995. 5Vent the cat litter box outside with these! Yep, if I have a cat, the litter box gets vented to the outdoors using one of these and a dryer vent kit. And after years of pet-free living, a skin & bones stray showed up, and after a few days I broke down and fed it. Now she's the world's happiest cat (TM). I did a litter box vent for my daughter over the summer as well. If you don't want that "I have a cat that takes huge dumps" aroma in the house, I recommend venting that stuff outside or into the attic if the attic is vented - and bonus, the air flow dries the litter out quickly. (This model isn't the best fan - the 4" high-speed does a better job, same price, I ordered the wrong one but this does OK). These are well packaged, very sturdy, and include everything you need for most installs. 5... to check to make sure it was even on) wonderful product, unfortunately for me it does not push ... High quality fan extra quiet operation (had to check to make sure it was even on) wonderful product, unfortunately for me it does not push enough air, i read the specs thought it would be enough but it was not, it does make a difference but for my needs looks like i need twice as much air flow. i can not overstate how quiet it is though, its incredibly quiet, and perhaps if i relocate it a little more strategically it will work just fine 5RV Refrigerator I purchased the AC Infinity AXIAL 8038 Quiet Muffin Fan, for an unusual reason my RV refrigerator. A RV fridge works quite differently from the refrigerator in a home. An RV refrigerator does not have a compressor, nor does it use any moving parts to operate. This is called an absorption refrigerator and uses heat, and a combination of ammonia, hydrogen gas, and water. These chemicals react and go through various tubes, and the evaporation and condensation process of these chemicals are what cools the refrigerator.Unfortunately, the outside temperature has an effect on its cooling efficiency. During the warmer periods it struggles to keep the food properly cooled and if there was better air movement in the shallow space behind the refrigerator, it should better keep the food from spoiling. I figured a small, quiet fan would help with moving the hot air away from the refrigerator. After lengthy internet searches I was unable to find an affordable AC fan to use in this situation until I found the fans available from AC Infinity.I fabricated an aluminum bracket behind the refrigerator and installed the AC Infinity AXIAL 8038 a few days ago. I can barely hear it running from inside the RV and thanks to the small size, it fit in the space. It is running great and I am confident that it will make our camping trips more carefree knowing our food is being cooled better. 5Good, quiet fan I like the fan. I used it to vent a cat litter box outside. You can see in the picture I attached the fan to a board that was cut and painted to fit in the nearby window. I used a 3" flange both on the motor and on the cat box to attach 3" flexible tube. The fan works awesome. It completely got rid of that smell in the room and the fan is very quiet and can barely be heard. 5As advertised and more durable than I was expecting. Feels durable without being weighty. Of all the options, this one had a lower CFM rating, but also draws the lowest wattage (by half!) and I am using this on my pop-up trailer to vent the 3-way fridge. I like to boondock, so both weight and electrical draw are important (only have the one battery). I am pleased with the purchase. Greatest surprise was that blades are solid fins -- not individual tabs. Makes it easier to clean and I feel makes for a quieter unit -- less chance of it getting out of balance. 5Helps circulate air inside an aging chamber. I really like the look and feel of this unit. It s very sturdy and well designed. I m currently using it in a homemade curing chamber to help circulate air while I dry-age meat. I have it mounted inside a small fridge which is set to 39 degrees. It s hooked to a timer which causes it to cycle for 15 minutes every two hours - just enough to create a small air flow. When I received it, I was very impressed with the packaging and aesthetics - unfortunately the first unit failed within 24 hours of installation. I returned it and requested a replacement - which was promptly delivered. I held off on the review for several weeks to measure the second units performance and I m please to note that it is still performing as it did initially. 4
