Customer Reviews

Very good investment for longer life of electronic equipment Very solid and well-built, which is rather a surprise given the low price and coming from you know where. Excellent protective packaging. Plain brown box without the more expensive full color marketing BS. I have it standing up one foot away from a Ubiquiti UniFi US-8-60W 8-port switch, with 4 ports of PoE.To my horror, this otherwise excellent fully managed switch runs super hot at 102 F! No way is that compact little PoE switch going to last very long running at that temperature so I immediate bought this excellent fan. It's doing a superb job of keeping the switch just barely above room temperature. Even though I should NOT have had to purchase this fan, I know this small investment will do a great deal to prolong the life of this otherwise great fully managed 8-port switch. I really like the included dual fan grilles although I'll probably replace the intake one with a combo grille and dust filter.I highly recommend this muffin cooling fan without any reservations whatsoever for someone who wants a good solid, well-built AC powered cooling fan. I'm definitely going to be looking at the various other models for other projects where I may need a USB powered fan or one that can lay directly on top of equipment as they have models with rubber feet that are designed for that purpose. 5Nice fans, great price, ultra fast shipping Used this for a keezer. works fine. 5Very High Quality Fan Purchased this fan for a Biltong box and it fills the 4.5 cubic foot box with a lot of positive airflow. I'm extremely impressed with the packaging and the installation hardware the fan came with as well. It even has rubber grommets to lessen vibrations and two very nice fan shrouds, one for each side.. The cord is plenty long for my needs as well.Initially I thought the price was a bit high but once I pulled the fan from the box and realized how high quality the device is, I felt like it was money well spent. Don't cheap out, AC Infinity probably has the best fans your money can buy. 5High quality, quiet fan! While maybe not the conventional use for this fan, I coupled it with some 4" flexible vent hose to create my "Cat Litter Box Stank Removal System". Long story short, our cat will stink up the entire house after just a single poop, even with a covered automatic litter box. I decided to come up with a way to vent that stank to the outside, so I needed a fan that would move a lot of air with very little noise so as not to scare the poor stinky kitty. This fan did the job to perfection! It moves enough air to remove all of the stank from the litter box and is quieter than a whisper. Finally we can breathe in our house again! 5A great little fan! I am very pleased with this muffin fan(s). I have two of them installed in the compressor area of a "high end" refrigerator, set up in a push me/pull me arrangement. These fans offer an economical alternative to having the service guy come and help himself to $200 - $500 of my hard earned dollars for replacing the original equipment fan which blew out. The fans run constantly, in a less than ideal environment, but show no signs of giving up yet. They move adequate air to keep the refrigerator temperature about three degrees above the freezing mark which is ideal. They are quiet and of course use very little electricity. Based on what I am seeing so far, when the fans finally give up, I will not hesitate to buy the same thing again, from the same vendor. By the way, the vendor responded very quickly to a minor issue involving a missing component from the packaging of the second fan purchased. I had the part in hand in under three business days. Great service! 5This fan is the best 120mm fan I have ever seen. Needed an "AC Powered Fan" for a small ventilation project, and looks like the AC Infinity brand was the correct choice.I ended up trying to balance performance vs power, so from the models available ended up going with the 120mm/8 watt version. Downside is that this does not come with any means of control, although I see that they sell an optional speed control/power switch cable. I went with one of those Lutron "on/off" switches that you can plug directly into the power outlet and plugged the fan into that.I would have to say the construction on the fan itself is amazing, as the fan spins with hardly any effort at all. The only downside is a minor one - the included screws assume one is going to run them through some thick wood - so the supplied screws are extra long. I will try the local hardware store to see if I can find some shorter screws. 5Great small fans for keeping stuff cool and providing decent airflow If you are a DYI'er and you stuff electronic equipment in a cabinet, you have to keep it cool with decent airflow. That's what muffin fans are for. Good price, not too loud and seem very well made. Unless you want them running all the time (not a good idea) look for a "Temperature Controller" or "Thermal Controller" that will turn them on and off based on the internal temperature of your enclosure. They are not expensive and will keep the temperature in that box in the range you set. There's lots of styles and prices available so spend some time looking for something that matches your needs. Don't forget to get a dust filter that fits over the fan because you'll really need it. 5Excellent quality, relatively quiet, you probably want the higher volume unit. I eventually bought the higher-volume model, but that wasn't Amazon or the manufacturer's fault. They both are high-quality, low-noise units. I think much of any "noise" consists of air movement, rather than motor noise. You can't have high volume without some noise. Because the higher-speed unit came without grills or mounting screws (and cost $3 less), I used the hardware from my low-volume unit on the higher-volume fan (which is about 1/3" thicker, probably due to deeper fan blade pitch.)Note that the mounting screws (i.e. bolts .. ) are metric thread, so don't lose the tiny nuts they come with. I bought stainless steel (damp location for me) lockwashers and flat washers easily at Lowe's/Home Depot. The included screws are longer than you need for the thin fan, so they worked fine for my thicker, high-volume unit.I agree that the ball bearings coast for a long time after power is removed. I suggest you read the product listing carefully to make sure your fan comes with a matching plug and cord set suitable for your needs. It's really nice to slide the two-pole connector right onto the mating tabs of the fan motor. I believe that the no-wall-plug option could be quickly used with an Academy Plug (proprietary name for a snap-on replacement two-prong American line plug) if you don't want to hand-wire a plug onto the tinned lead ends. 5Terrific little fan Terrific little fan, very quiet and very well built. Not at all what I was expecting, I was expecting a $20 dollar fan, what I got feels and runs like a $60 dollar fan. Excellent packaging, instructions, mounting hardware and arrives in 48 hrs. Installed it on my modem that runs a little hot and it works like a charm.... Instantly cooled her down to a perfect temp. I'll include some pics. 5Worth every penny... and then some. I bought two of these fans to help cool some rack-mounted hardware being used for video. I needed something reliable and quiet, so figured I'd go for something on the higher end. However, regardless of how much they charge for these fans, they could probably charge more. They're worth every penny, and then some. They're barely audible, and I can't hear them at all from a few feet away. (Granted, they have a low CFM, but they're quiet even considering that.I didn't realize before buying them, but their housings are made of metal. Let me say that again: Metal housings. I don't mean the guards for the front and back (though they are a quite solid metal, probably steel), but the body of the fan is metal. They're heavy, and feel very solid. I've installed an uncountable number of computer CPU and case fans, and these are in a different league entirely. The mounting hardware is good quality as well. Despite my best [accidental] efforts, my power driver couldn't strip one of the screw heads. I'm guessing they're reasonably high quality steel, too. It also comes with 4 rubberized vibration-damping washers. The only thing that's a possible negative is that the fans have a metal body but do not have a grounding conductor. If you mount these to a non-grounded chassis, cabinet, or etc. then in a fault state they could be a shock hazard. If this is a concern for you, look for low-voltage DC fans that have good quality power supplies.Despite that, these are definitely worth the price, and I'd buy them again for future projects. 5
