Doesn't Live Up to the Hype Edit: Even though I wasn't completely satisfied with the showerhead itself, I have to give the company 5 stars for its customer service! They're "Johnny-on-the-spot" when it comes to making their customers happy. Bravo!Original Review: This showerhead does okay, but the claims of tremendous shower pressure are more than a little inflated. You'll probably get decent pressure, especially if you remove the water restrictor. But if you've got hard water, be prepared to clean the spray jets regularly, because they'll frequently get clogged and start spraying in the wrong direction.All in all, a decent enough showerhead, but it doesn't live up to the hype. 3My Shower Finally Matches!! I haven't showered with my Aqua Elegante shower head yet, but I installed it and tested it. It seems perfect. We have low water pressure, but this head seems to increase the water pressure, and I haven't removed the water restrictor. I want to leave it in to conserve water. I don't imagine I'll use all the settings, but I love the one I found when testing it. It provided a nice full shower with enough coverage and pressure to make it pleasant. It looks beautiful. I bought a matching hose and now my shower matches!! For 2 years I had used a chrome head and hose because I loved them so much. When I bought this house I just couldn't part with the long hose and shower head I had. But, I hated to have mis-matched fixtures in my beautiful new house, so I broke down and bought matching ones. I'm so glad I did. I highly recommend the Aqua Elegante shower head. It is classy looking and provides excellent pressure!UPDATE: After showering with my new Aqua Elegante shower head, I am even more pleased! The water pressure, with low pressure out here in the country, is sensational!! It reminds me of a full rain shower that has lots of pressure. I like pressure, and this shower head provides it, and I have NOT removed the water restrictor!! I told my adult son that he should order one, too, as this is such a great shower head. I'm an Aqua Elegante loyal customer from now on!! 5The best of all the options I tried After trying 3 other shower heads I chose to keep this one. It's pretty good and a few tweaks could make it perfect in my eyes. First to explain how it works. It has 3 main settings, the first uses the 2 sets of small outer nozzles. Next is a middle ring of large nozzles and the final setting is an inner set of medium nozzles. You can also pick a combination of outer with either the middle or inner set. The final (6th) option is a water saving dribbling of water for when you aren't using it.I find all 3 of the main settings a bit too strong for me. The combination of the outer and inner is my preferred setting where the pressure against my skin is like a moderate rainfall. What could make this better is if the spray were angled slightly outward so I could get full coverage over my shoulders. My old one did this, it was about 4" across at the start and would be 12" across a few feet away and perhaps 24" by the time it hit the floor. The other change I would have liked would be if the small nozzles were slightly larger and also paired with an inner ring of the same size. Basically like the 'shower' setting on the outdoor hose sprayer. It is nice to have the jet like mid and inner nozzles, I'm sure they will get used sometimes.For comparison I also tried a Waterpik shower head but it didn't put out enough water and the diameter of the spray was too narrow. I tried a Moen that looked very similar to this one and had a wider spray but the output wasn't good enough. Both of these were rated at 2 gpm but in my stopwatch test with a 5gal bucket I found they were 1.8gpm and 1.7gpm respectively. My old shower head turned out to be 2.5gpm. The Aqua Elegante came out to 2.1gpm as-is. When I removed the o-ring and restrictor I got 2.8gpm and as a good middle ground I found if I left the restrictor but removed the o-ring, with that I got 2.5gpm. The 2.8gpm felt wasteful, the 2.5gpm felt luxurious without being too wasteful. Right now I have them both back in to see if I can go used to that, otherwise I'll probably use it without the o-ring. Obviously your output will vary but it's nice to know you essentially have 3 flow rate options. 4I love it! I installed this shower head yesterday and had to ask myself why I waited so long to replace my old one. Everything about this shower head is great. It was really easy to install and fit perfectly with my existing hose.The instructions were clear and well-written. One side of the instructions explains how to remove the flow restrictor and the other side explains how to install the shower head. Both instructions include black and white photos of each step which made the installation much easier. The kit includes sealing tape but I did not use it. I would have used it if there was any water leaking on my first attempt, but everything was perfect without it. I also did not insert the small filter that came with the kit. We have city water so there is no need for this type of filter.My first photo shows the end result. I replaced a Delta shower head with this one. I used the existing hose and fixture and you can see that it fits perfectly.My second photo is a close up of the fixture. The new shower head ends where the fixture begins.My third photo shows the removed flow restrictor, the removed O-ring around the flow restrictor, and the screw that I used to remove it. The instructions suggest that you use a screw to "grab" the flow restrictor to remove it. This was a really cleaver idea and worked perfectly. This particular screw is about 2" long but I supposed a shorter one would work as well.Overall, this is great product. It seems well-made and has a nice finish. It is solid but not overly heavy.I bought this on a lightening deal on Amazon but it well worth the full price. 5Very nice product, very nice sellers One thing I love is a shower with great water pressure. I like it like a power washer. In fact, before my bathroom renovation here I ran 3/4" copper to my upstairs bathroom to ensure it. Then I made the mistake of hiring a general contractor to do the demolition and rough-in for the bathroom and they botched the job with way too many elbows, the wrong main shut-off valves, etc. As a result I have really marginal water pressure in the shower. Over the years I've tried different shower heads to mitigate the problem but never satisfactorily. When my last one clogged, I found this one on Amazon.Installation took like three minutes, and I of course got it wrong. The shower wand didn't want to fit in the holder. I contacted the seller via email and he got back to me an hour later with a question: did you install the hose backwards? I had. Duh. Fixed.I'm very happy with this product. Not only does look good and feel nice in your hand but it took 30 seconds to remove the water restrictor. Some shower heads make this difficult to impossible without damaging them. A set of needle-nosed pliers did the job. After that I was greeted by a strong, steady spray, almost exactly what I wanted. It didn't increase my water pressure of course but with one less restriction in the way it was a huge improvement. 5Works Great/Looks Great Our Grohe $425.00 shower head broke and the warranty replacement won't arrive for over 2 months. Decided to purchase this shower head until the Grohe arrives one day in the distant future. This $27.00 shower head works better, has more adjustments and looks nicer in our bathroom. I was amazed just how stupid I was purchasing an expensive shower head when there are units around like this one. You will love this shower head. I will use this company in the future for other products. Best part is it comes with a 5 year warranty. You can't go wrong getting ordering this shower head. 5I would recommend this to a friend. I will buy another one of these for my other shower. I hesitate giving this a 5 star rating, only because I find 5 star ratings to be a little to rah-rah . I tend to read the 2,3, and 4 star ratings to get a realistic concept of what to expect. That being said, this is a fabulous shower head (and hose). I read some of the complaints that people had about the water being too strong... good grief people, get it together. If you turn your garden hose on and the water comes out too strong what do you do? That s right, you turn the knob to reduce the flow of water. How the genius reviewers can t figure this out, regarding the shower, dumbfounds me.I would recommend this to a friend. I will buy another of these for my other showers.Be aware, it is not metal, but rather plastic. Still, it feels and functions like a solidly engineered device, without the weight of steel. 5Great for low water pressure I bought two of these shower heads to replace the two existing heads in our new home. Since we're on well water, the pressure isn't as high as if we were on city water. With the old shower heads, the water had no force behind it. With these shower heads, I leave the shower feeling clean again. 5Perfect solution for our sluggish shower .. This was the perfect solution to our "weak" shower. We had a handheld showerhead that was mounted to a bar where the height could be adjusted. The water flow was never great and over time, it seemed to get worse. We were going to replace the whole device and then decided to give this handheld shower a try. The GREAT part of this head is that you can remove the water flow restrictor! When I looked inside of my old handheld shower, I saw that the water restrictor was built into the head and couldn't be removed. We LOVE this Aqua Elegante shower head!!!! My wife said that it no longer takes her 10 minutes to rinse the shampoo out of her hair. 5Nice shower head, a bit underwhelmed with the pressure Edit: Bumped up a star as the response from the seller and company to my review was impressive. I was offered a refund AND to keep the item. I received yet another follow-up email from the company afterwards asking for specific feedback. Rare to find customer service on Amazon like that these days.Ordered this product based on the glowing reviews regarding pressure. I was expecting something life changing, but feel like the pressure on this shower head is average or just above average so was a little bummed. I am going to keep the product as this is one of the better ones I was able to find. It wasn't terrible, just not what I was expecting from reading the reviews. That being said, it is a nice, large shower head with 3 main different functions. The instructions that came with it were easy to read and detailed. It also came with a roll of teflon tape which was nice. Please note that this is just a shower head and does not include a hose. I already had one so that was fine. I had a bit of a tough time removing the flow restrictor, but managed to get it done using curved cuticle scissors to remove the black rubber gasket as I didn't have a paper clip. I had to go threw a few different sizes of screws to find one that would fit in the flow restrictor hole in order to pull it out. I may look in to other products from this company because the price was great and the instructions that came along with it were very easy to read. 4
