Customer Reviews

These Are My Favorite Disposable Gloves! I have reviewed these previously as I have bought four boxes of these now. The first box was great. Second box was not. The gloves that came were very short. I decided to take a chance again because I really liked having these gloves. The third and fourth boxes have been the same great quality of the first box. They are the perfect length, food grade, BPA free, teasy to open, and nice to have on hand. (No pun intended)USES: I use these at home for some types of food handling. Meat, eggs, things like that. I also use them to mix salads as well as any other items needing to be mixed my hand, or easier to mix by hand. I also take these to potlucks, picnics, parties and camping. I have also used them for preparing food for parties for cleaning up after parties. I highly recommend them. 5Durable Food Gloves I purchase food gloves about once a year. Last year I purchased a different brand however I think I like the durability of these better. These come at a great price. I cook every single night and use food gloves about every single day so for them to last me a whole year I feel is a pretty good deal.I use food gloves a lot when handling raw meat. sometimes I even grab some when I take the garbage out during the winter months when I want to cut back on the hand washing. My hands get very dry and cracked during the winter.Anyway, I would definitely recommend these gloves. I have not had any issues with them so far and I will most likely purchase these again when I run out. 5Great poly gloves! These are great! I've used several different brands of poly, and here is why I prefer them. They come in various sizes. That one size fits all is awful in these poly gloves if you have small hands. The medium works for me, and the gloves actually stay on. They are also a bit thicker than most other poly gloves. They're still not for any heavy duty work, but they are much more durable than the thinner ones. These gloves are about 2 inches longer than some of the other brands I've used. That means they reach past your wrist. That makes such a difference in protection and staying on while you're working. Finally, I did want to mention that contrary to a lot of the reviews, the gloves are very easy to separate and put on. You just take the opening and rub it between your index finger and thumb, and the sides separate just fine. These cost a bit more, but to me they're worth the difference. I use them for many things, including cleaning cat litter boxes and pet messes, as well as food prep. Obviously they're one use only but the price makes that acceptable:) Anyway, these are the best ones I've found for my purposes, and I've been through a lot of poly gloves! 5I like these gloves and have re-ordered many times I am not a food handler just someone who HATES handling fish. My little dog eats salmon and I am alway cooking it for her. I love that these size LARGE glove fit my small hands but they cling to it. If I need to remove them they come off easily and slip right back on if necessary and they are not too wet. This might not work for food handlers but I want to tell how versatile they are for me. If I use a glove that was fitted I would not be able to do this. My husband also fits into the size LARGE and they fit normally on him. He is about 5'10", 174 lbs with normal size hands if that helps. We have never had a problem with the gloves. They are BPA free and I think a good value for the money. I am happy with this brand of disposable gloves and I will continue to purchase them. Oh, I have even used them for many other household chores that do not involve food. I scour the kitchen sink, do craft painting or I have done touch up painting on the walls, worn them while potting plants...they are thin but they hold up very nicely for all of the jobs I throw at them. 5Don't like the price switching, but otherwise a great product So far we like these better then the other brand we were using. They are pretty big, but this is better than being too small and hard to get on. We use mostly for handling raw meat. If you are using for something very spicy you might go with a different product or double glove it as these are not the most durable. However, these gloves seem to be a lot more durable then the other brand of plastic gloves we were using and these are BPA free. This product loses at least 1 star from me as my original order was suspiciously 'cancelled' at a lower price (with Prime) and I had to re-buy at a higher price for much slower shipping. Once my order goes through the original price should be honored and despite getting a refund from Amazon it took an additional 10 days to receive these as I had to re-buy and could not get Prime shipping. 3Utilize them right, and you'll find these gloves really 'handy'! For the price, you can't expect these gloves to work flawlessly for intensive food prep work. However, for light duty applications I find these to be perfect and a great value. I have small hands, and purchased the medium size. They are large enough for me to easily slip my hand in but I don't find them to slip off. I wouldn't use these gloves for trying to do something like hand mixing spices into ground meat or cutting super hot peppers, but for simply handling raw meat or poultry, or for keeping my hands clean and dry when handling something I'd usually wash my hands after, these work beautifully. They allow me to wash my hands a lot less while in the middle of cooking. I do use stronger (and much more expensive) nitrile gloves when doing more intensive food prep or when doing heavy duty cleaning/using chemical products. But for the price and usefulness of these, I'm very happy. In fact, after using these for a week after first purchasing them, I bought another box to have on hand (no pun intended)! 5Awesome! I'd previously purchased 2 other brands because they ... Awesome! I'd previously purchased 2 other brands because they were a few dollars cheaper than the Gorilla gloves. I figured all poly gloves were the same, right? NOPE. The other brands were ill-fitting, some came with extra fingers (!), and liquid constantly seeped through. The entire point of wearing gloves while handling food is to keep my hands clean, but I found that more often than not, the icky blood from meats and poultry would get on my hands.I finally decided to shell out the few extra bucks for the Gorilla gloves and the difference is like night and day. I've gone through about a 1/3 of the box and I love them!! I got the medium size and they are actually medium! The material is stronger than the others, so no more nasty liquid gets on my hands, unless I happen to slice the glove with a knife. But the best part is that the gloves stay on! No more slipping off my hands, even when I run them under the tap. The fact that the glove goes well past my wrist certainly helps in keeping them in place while working with food. Seriously, people, don't cheap out like I did. Shell out a few extra dollars for gloves that actually do what they are supposed to do. 5They work fine for me around the kitchen I'm female with big hands. These Large gloves are big on me. I wear them to handle meat, to wash dishes & cleaning the sink. I would wear them for other food handling for company. I'm an RN and a germaphobe when it comes to handling food and working in the kitchen. I cringe when I see how messy/dirty some people are in the kitchen. I've had one glove with a tear in it right out of the box but all the others, so far, have been sturdy. They do require a little getting used to bc they aren't a snug fit. As an experiment, I was able to slide them off after washing some dishes and let them dry on the counter, use them again later for more dish washing (I wash my dirty dishes before putting them in dishwasher. I know.... ). They are tightly packed in the box, which fits nicely in a kitchen drawer. I would buy again, maybe in medium size. 5HORRIBLE horrible gloves! The good reviews are probably posted by employees of the company. You can tell that I wasn't paid off by the company because I'm willing to tell you the truth - these are the absolute WORST food service gloves I've ever bought. The material is very thin so they tear easily. But you won't ever get the chance to find that out because you can't get them open to use them. The plastic sticks to itself like glue, and they are harder (much harder) to get open than the really cheap, clear plastic produce bags at the grocery store. By the time you finally get them open, they're either torn or dirty - so you'll wind up throwing them away before you ever use them.Do yourself a favor and save your money. It's not worth the aggravation of buying gloves you can't use. 1Fairly good food prep gloves at the best prices I find I was always taught to wash my hands before cooking and after handling any form of raw meat or eggs for 20 seconds. Everyday I have to cook for my family and our household consumes some form of meat or eggs in every meal, lest our hunger for blood and flesh become overwhelming and result in us becoming bloodthirsty ghouls. In addition to the aforementioned animal flesh, I also have to handle sticky dough and mix together various cakes, batters and patties by hand. This resulted in a great deal of hand washing and a considerable amount time wasted doing so. This all came to an end with the arrival of these gloves. The first and most obvious question is, do these gloves keep the food off your bare hands? For the most part, yes they do. Most of the time I can handle whatever it is I have at the moment, then shuck my gloves and move on to something else. However, there have been times I've found egg or some other substance on the tip of my finger after taking the gloves off. This has to do with durability. These gloves will tear from the slightest amount of stretching, which has resulted in several pairs going straight in the trash because they ripped apart as I tried to get them on. The other question of great importance is, are these glove priced well? Yes, absolutely they are. The cheapest food prep gloves I could find were at Walmartgoing for over 7 dollars for a box of 100. The quality of those were about the same, so these gloves crush all the competition as far as price goes. These also are the largest amount of gloves in one box that I could find, so no need to constantly buy more.I had some issues with getting these gloves on. First, they won't go on properly if your hands are even slightly wet. Never attempt to put on a pair of these gloves with damp hands. Make sure your hands are completely dry before you put them on, otherwise they will stick to your skin and rip when you attempt to put your fingers in place. Second, the size of the gloves. Getting the correct size gloves is critical. Before I ordered these, I received a box of medium gloves by accident. Getting into those was almost impossible without ripping them to pieces, so I returned them. These new gloves fit far better, but just barely have enough space to get my hands into without ripping apart. I still have to be fairly careful when putting them on. Finally, getting the gloves to open can be tricky. Opening up the gloves before inserting your hand is necessary, because they opening sticks together and forcing your hand inside is likely to cause, yes, you guessed it, ripping. I found a trick to opening them up quickly and easily. Rub the sides of the opening together with your thumb and fingers, then when you have a small opening, blow into the glove to fully open it.Despite the fragility of the gloves, at this price and quantity, I can afford to lose a few, and I will likely buy more once I run out. 4
