Customer Reviews

Didn t want to like it... but it is quite nice. I reordered this thinking it glass. I love glass. The screen is absolutely beautiful... until there is too much oil on the screen from me. playing my favorite games and it ceases to work properly until I clean it - which was becoming a daily occurrence. Or until the glare prevented me from seeing or sharing my screen in the summer time. I did not mind as it saved me from looking like my screen was protected. But, about once a year, I notice cracks and decide it s time to replace it. My error with reordering was that I forgot i ordered a matte plastic screen protector in my excitement to get an Apple Pro and Pencil. (Mine came used and with a screen protector, so I never used the one that I bought.). I totally did not miss the film application process. So, I noticed it was a film not glass type after removing the old one. I hated leaving my screen unprotected more so than being worried about haing loss mr protector application prowess, so I decided to give it a go... until I ordered a replacement. It turns out, I might stick with this for a while. It is just more practical. The screen glare is less, finger oils have not yet become a problem, and writing on the iPad (which the glass did not bother me) has more friction but it does not have as much friction as I was worried it might. I also think that reading books on my IPad may be more paperlike too. Also, the air bubbles that I could not rub out all went away by the next day, so now the application is near perfect (the edges of my iPad bow slightly so neither glass nor film adhere well at the edges). So, I am happy/content with a matte screen at the moment. It is quite nice. 5great, but def not paper-like i use my ipad pro for drawing/design on procreate. i really hate the way the apple pencil feels on the glass screen, it s too slick and hard making for less control over your strokes. i m still used to the friction of a pencil on paper, so i researched screen protectors that would increase the friction of the screen and create a paper-like feel. there were some that are specifically made to feel paper-like, but those cost a lot more and/or have heavy rainbow-micro-distortion. because i still use my ipad for watching videos and movies, i wanted a balance of paper-likeness and clarity. a youtube review brought me here since they claimed this had that perfect balance. i m sad to report that it does not do it for me. though there is increased friction and it feels sliiiightly better than the plastic pencil tip on glass, it feels nothing like paper. it s still too slick. not sure that perfect balance actually exists? what i m seeing is that the rainbow effect and heightened friction are directly related. will keep this screen protector on in hopes that someone will come up something that fits the bill 5make my ipad feel a little bit more like drawing/writing on paper I do a lot of research before I purchase anything. This being said, before I even bought my iPad Pro, I had my eye on the Paperlike brand screen protector. I wanted something that would reduce finger print visibility, keep my screen from being scratched, and, most importantly, make my ipad feel a little bit more like drawing/writing on paper. I ordered these because I didn't want my wallet to take a bigger hit than it already had with the iPad. Let me tell you, this is an awesome deal. The screen protector hardly shows any finger prints and my desire for a paper texture was fulfilled. It's only been a day, but I feel like it is so much easier to create things on my iPad now. This protector kind of slows my Apple Pencil down and makes it easier to control. I am in love with the screen protector and would recommend to anyone who does a lot of drawing or writing on their iPad. 5Nice Anti-Glare Screen Protector For my 9.7 iPad Pro I had a Speck Shieldview matte screen protector, but they don't have one for the 10.5. I had liked the Speck because it was less grainy, so I was looking for one similar; and thanks to YouTube, I found it. I'm glad it comes with 3 because I accidentally touched the back of the first one. The second one applied easily, and now I have an extra one for later on. I like this screen protector a lot because of the extra tooth for the Apple Pencil, less glare and fingerprints, and I like that it's not super grainy. I will definitely buy this again in the future. 4Original Review: The Good (Great) Far Outweighs the Bad -- Updated Review: On Second Thought.... Update: As mentioned in my previous five-star review (below), I did have a second (of three shipped) functional screen protector, but I misplaced it in a move. Since, my constant use of the first screen protector wore away much of the subtle texture (and paper feel), I wanted to swap it out so I ordered another set of three. (I also thought that after a year the company would have had its warehouse storage problem solved.) This time, ALL of the screen protectors were damaged. I'm currently using the best of the three that were sent. Even the best of the three shows numerous unremovable bubbles/bends when the screen is off (and the other two are basically mangled near the home button area). So, of the six that I ordered, one was great, two were adequate and three were unusable. At this point, I can no longer recommend this product and will be looking somewhere else for the next one. Unfortunately, this otherwise great product is being ruined by careless warehouse storage. (Note: There was a second item that came in my same delivery envelope. It was from a different producer and showed no signs of damage from mishandling or carelessness.)Previous Review: Yes, the screen brightness is lowered by a couple of percentage points, but that is a small trade off for what you get in return: 1.) The light diffusion of the matte screen means that you're not constantly having to angle away from bright lights when you read text or watch a video, 2.) You don't have to constantly clean your screen of fingerprint smudges, and 3.) If you have an Apple Pencil, the matte screen really is more like writing on paper. Further, after a very short adjustment period, I no longer even notice the screen being dimmed those couple of percentage points that I mentioned earlier. Regarding the dents that a previous reviewer noted, he/she is right -- I had the same thing in the same location on two my screen protectors (since these came in a stacked set of three, one had a pronounced dent, the second had a mild bump and the third was unaffected). Even so, for the price, quality, perfection of the cut, thinness and significant positive benefits, having just one (and maybe two) of the three work as advertised is totally worth it to me -- now that it's on, it ain't going anywhere. 2Highly Recommended!! Awesome matte screen protector. Was actually easy to apply, was worried after a few failed alignments and having to peel and reapply after the first attempts. I was thinking I still have a couple more. But surprisely only used the one and it turned out perfectly. No bubbles, no imperfections. The matte finish compliments the use of the Applie pencil. No glare, No fingerprints, 5Useless for what I purchased it for. I bought this for the Matte aspect so that I could get a more paper like feel for my drawing and writing on my ipad, unfortunately the matte finish was rubbed off within a few days (I ve only had it on my ipad for 8 days!)... at first it was decent, though my hand (even with my drawing glove on) would get caught up on the matte finish, causing some issues with my accuracy and the smoothness of my strokes, but that evened out after a day or so, and after that it was good for about 3 or so days (so now were talking day 4 or 5 of use) and then by day 6/7 the film was completely smooth, and was about as effective as my regular tempered glass screen protector... I took it off this morning (the official 9th day of owning the film, but I did it as soon as I woke up, so I didn t even use it today... Totally a waste of money if your looking for a lasting paper like film for drawing or writing accuracy. Obviously its cheap, and it did give an anti glare, and reduced fingerprints, but for what I purchased it for the matte finish, that didn t last at all. I d give it zero stars, except it was the easiest screen protector /film that I have ever installed in my life... 13 failed attempts I had applied a Supershieldz on my IPad Air without difficulty, so I ordered one for my husband's IPad Pro 10.5 inch. Half an hour later and 3 failed attempts, I give up. I think I would have been able to get rid of the air bubbles, which were bothersome. However, as another customer commented, the fit needed to be so perfect on the Pro that even what seemed like a very good application peeled up when I tried to put it in its case. Then, to top it off, the little number 2 sticker reminded me of annoying price tags that get stuck mercilessly on items. On all 3 sheets, it only partially peeled off, leaving a sticky residue. I'm still not sure how I would get that off. The only reason I did not give the product one star is that I did have luck with this brand previously, so I hope my difficulty was just an anomaly with this particular model. 2Everything you need to know! I've always been skeptical of matte screen protectors. Comments like, " it destroys the resolution" have kept me away from them until now.I recently bought an iPad for my art and after much research, I learned that there are several benefits to having this type of protector, expecially for artists. After using it myself for a while now, here are my thoughts (pictures included with review). The good:-The anti-glare aspect is so underrated! While I see full reflections on my phone and laptop, nothing reflects on my iPad, and there are no distractions.-No fingerprints! Even after a full day of use, I rarely have to wipe the screen (great for the OCD).-These can be tough to put on, but there are simple directions on the back of the packaging and you get 3 tries (lifetime replacements is a huge bonus!)-The matte finish gives a paper-like feel to the screen and drawing on it is much more pleasant and realistic. The not so good:-The resolution is "dulled" a tiny bit, but not nearly enough for me to take off the screen protector.-The anti-glare helps with reflections but it also makes the screen a tiny bit darker in daylight, so I'm having to increase the brightness a little bit. Not a big deal.-the iPad is thin and slippery already, so adding this protector makes it easy to drop. I would recommend a case or sleeve. Please view included pictures. 5Great product! First if all I just want to point out that it s very difficult to install a screen protector on a 10.5 screen without air bubbles. Since I wanted a perfect air bubble free screen, I used up all 3 of them and still have a few bubbles. They contacted me and asked how their product was, and I told them my problems. They immediately send me a replacement along with some tips and tricks, and it arrived in four days. For my forth installation I decided to do it in the bathroom. First I turn on the hot water for about 5-7 minutes and then wait a little until all the fog settle down. Then, I install it as usual and got a perfect bubble free screen! Their costumer service is 5+ and I m glad I decided to buy their product. The screen now feels a little more like paper and looks better aesthetically. 5
