Customer Reviews

Wonderful *(Please rate this review if you find it helpful)*First off, you can't really mess up a HDMI cable; it either works or it doesn't. I'm not going to get into the argument that Monster cables are the same as every other cable (just google "CNET why hdmi cables are all the same" if you want to know why)This is not the first cable I've bought. I've purchased about 5 of these abs they're simply amazing! They're equally as good as a high priced hdmi cable. If you want proof, google why hdmi cables don't matter on cnet and they have a compelling article about how and hdmi cable, regardless of supposed features, are all the same quality. There is no reason to buy a monster cable or any of that crap. Now onto the product, first of all the packaging is very simple. Just a cord in a bag. While this isn't the most aesthetically appealing, it lowers production cost thus making it cheaper for you and me. There cord is thick which makes it feel sturdy and able to hold up over time.As for this cable, it is a RIDICULOUSLY low price for a great quality cable! Not only does this cable FEEL great, it LOOKS great too. It's one of those products that just makes the user feel like it's the perfect product to own. As an owner of a lot of these cables, they are one of the products that you just put a lot of trust in and it gives you ease of mind knowing that you have a great quality cable. I have since replaced all HDMI cables with these in my house.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 5Hard to beat for the price...pleasantly surprised ( UPDATED...see below ) I have a sports bar set up in my house...identical 42 lcd's side by side...one is hdmi from comcast box on a 6 foot $25 cable....the other I used this 50 foot to come from another comcast box thru a splitter....my wife and I cannot tell the difference between the 2 pictures....I was so impressed , I ran another 50 footer outside to a TV in our patio area run off another box.....again, all works great there as well....these cables are worth a try especially when they are cheaper than a 6 foot hdmi in Lowes, Radio Shack or Best Buy....and I have purchased their expensive cables previously for else where in the house....I did take extra care hooking it up and it is permanent so it will not be unplugged ever....was reading the other buyers input about the cheap connectors so cannot comment there....UPDATE....May 1 , 2012...as I wrote before, these are great cables for the money BUT....started aother project after the wifes approval...decided to modify my home theater and put components at the front...enter this 50 ft cable...new amp...Onkyo 720 with high end Sharp XV-Z12000 projector...tested it out on the wall prior to running the cable in the wall...all looked good....but now that I have it all run and on the screen...it definitely lost a bit of quality in sharpness and brightness...it does have it's moments when it is acceptable but not enough so I will now consider an extender, booster or high end HDMI cable....lesson learned....this cable works great with small pictures.....BTW my screen is 13 ft diagonal....so you tend to notice things easier....hope this helps out 4It just works Looking to solve 2 problems, (1) TV HDMI switching was terrible, and (2) paying $20/month for a cable box in the bedroom. Got a splitter, a switch, this 50' cable, and a remote control repeater. Read many reviews of each, concluded there's so much variability in devices and cabling that no amount of money would guarantee it would all work. It all did. First time. Lucky me. Basically no one knows if your combination of stuff will work, so buy it & try. Send it back if it doesn't work. Get Prime if you don't want to pay for shipping. Amazon rocks. 5Why pay hundreds for a cable? I needed some long runs of hdmi cable to connect my integra dhc 9.9 pre amp / processor to my 61 inch Samsung DLP led TV and HD cable box. I'm certain you have all seen the prices they charge at the big box electronics stores for hdmi cables, and none of them even carry ones 50 feet long. I shudder to think what they would charge if they did carry them.I was a bit concerned at first that these long runs of inexpensive cable wouldn't work very well. They work perfectly. I am sending 1080P video and high quality surround sound digital audio through two 50 foot lengths with perfect results. No dropouts in sound or picture. No anomolies at all. They just work as well as I could have hoped. They also are robustly constructed and should hold up great over the years. 5Speed is great, image is great Got this to connect my office computer to my tv in the living room, since I don't have internet. The office door is right next to the tv, so I really should of gotten the 25 foot cable. But I have a piano under the tv so the cord is just shove behind that. Speed is great, image is great. It's on a 42 inch tv and I've never noticed a problem. I've had the cord for a year now and still no issues. Blue ray - HD freaks may notice a decrease in picture quality, but I don't. 5Hit or miss depending on your devices This is iffy. To get it to work with a PS4 and a ViewSonic VX2450WM-LED (VS13518), I had to disable the PS4's HDCP and limit the RGB output--but, what is the point of using a monitor versus a TV. Monitors can display the full range of RGB and if you have to disable it to get it to work, well...This cable will NOT work consistently between a PS4 and an ASUS VS278Q-P at 1080p. A shorter cable is fine, but at this length, no matter how much you limit the output from the PS4, I imagine, the only way to get this to work would be to lower the resolution. I don't care to test to see if it does work at lower resolutions. There may be more data from the monitor in this case where it just doesn't work in the same setup as the ViewSonic. I tried several settings I was willing to accept, but none worked. 3Great HDMI cable with a ton of reach "This cable is awesome! The gold premium 50-feet HDMI cable is the cable that you need to connect various high definition devices. It also supports 8-channel audio. Where else do you get a cable with such capabilities and goes for only $18.10? Notable electronic stores have 50-feet HDMI cables that run into hundreds of dollars. Actually a 6 foot HDMI cable at RadioShack is a whopping $25. Also why go for an overly priced monster cable yet this one does the job? It is also very easy to connect the HDMI cable and the instruction manual is very easy to follow. You can watch Netflix on your TV by connecting your TV to the computer via the HDMI output in the computer. However, if you have an old mac, it will not carry the sound because old macs don t output sound through the mini port. There are no dropouts of the picture or the sound and the build quality of the cable will see the cable last for years to come. The cable has inbuilt Ethernet frequency for deploying internet. You can send about 1080i video and the quality of audio will be crystal clear. I think that you could comfortably re-arrange the house and space them within 50 feet and still have everything function as expected. You can cut down your cost further since you don t require a satellite dish receiver for entertainment. A cable and a computer HDMI output is what you only need to get entertainment from sites like Netflix or the Amazon prime instant video. Although the cable does the job, 50-feet is quite a distance and you should try to minimize the distance where possible. Signal interference is likely to happen which will result to poor audio and graphics quality. If minimizing the distance is impossible then a booster and an extender can do the trick of improving the quality. The cable doesn t correctly connect DirecTV DVR to a plasma HDTV or LCD TV and it is advisable you look for another cable. Return policies are friendly and you should be able to get another HDMI cable that fit your needs. But this is the HDMI cable to go for if you need to connect high definition devices like: projectors, satellite dishes, DVD players, HDTV and Plasma TVs to other components like computers. Quality and value best describe this product and since it s versatile, you can use it for most of your connection needs. 5Gremlins in HDMI Cables On Nov 27, 2012, I purchased a male - male 50 foot 24 awg Tartan HDMI Cable to connect my home office computer to my 32" Vizio TV. The intention is to cancel my subscription TV service soon - we had already initiated ROKU service with Netflix. We also discovered that most of our desired programs were available for free on the internet. Current price of the 50 ft Tartan is $40.50. Performance was excellent, but the hardware lasted under 3 months: the end connected to my computer pulled off. In retrospect, I should have used port protectors and taped the connections down. I really didn't want to spend $40.50 for a replacement. Even though my knowledge about cables is next to nothing, the reviews on this cheaper ($14.25) 28 awg cable looked acceptable, with some caveats. This cable has 19 pins instead of the older 18 pin configuration, but the sales information promised the cable was retro-functional. Some reviewers suggested that the cable was unidirectional. The cable was plugged in, with an immediate TV message "Not supported". Reversal of the cable generated the same message. I connected a 6 foot port saver to the TV end of the cable. Same message. I connected an 8 inch port saver to the CPU, but was distracted by another task before booting the computer.A short while later, my wife turned on the computer, and said "it works". And so it does. The image is even better than with the 24 awg cable. The whole episode reinforces my opinion that electronic performance is fraught with gremlins, mischievous leprechauns, and unpredictable grey magic. Even so, I give this cable's current performance 5 stars. 5worked fine. I was a little skeptical about a 50' feed for HDMI. However I see no problems when I'm feeding from my Toshiba tablet. It has an HDMI output which I feed through a Sony receiver to a Vizio 37" TV. The Sony acts as a switch to connect the tablet to the TV. The switching of everything is done with a Harmony 650 remote. I have also fed the output from an old laptop to the HDMI via a VGA to HDMI converter. That, too, worked fine. 5Very dissapointed The cable has great length. There's just one thing im pissed! This cable is supposed to be high speed.Well its not, when the hdmi is plugged into my monitor, and i leave the monitor on for 15 minuites the screen powers off (Like an ordinary monitor.)But here is where thing change. When i move my mouse to power back on monitor the entire screen turns blue! So i have toUnplug the hdmi and replyingIt every time i turn on my pc! Now that is not a speed, and a very poorly made cable. I really dont recomend this. 2
