    This is a great idea, especially for seniors who visit the bathroom a lot at night. I just bought these so not sure how they'll work long term, but so far, we like them. One seems to work better than the other, though. We have two bathrooms, neither has a window. The one in my bathroom, I suspect, is staying on most of the time. At least, it's on whenever I go near the bathroom. Maybe it's picking up movement as I walk near the door (it's a smaller bathroom). It's near my work area (I work from home) and it just seems like every time I walk by the room, it's on..I tried moving it to the other side of the bowl, but it doesn't make any difference. It will shut off when I flip the light on, though, but does not appear to be shutting off after I leave the room. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. If it really is on all the time, it's going to run the batteries down very quickly.The one in my husbands bathroom seems to work like it's suppose to. It goes on when he gets near the toidy, and then goes off after he leaves the room. His bathroom is a large bathroom, so maybe it's just that it isn't picking up movement like the other one does.Having said that, though, it is a great idea. Especially for seniors who visit the restroom often during the night. It gives off enough light so you don't need to turn on another light, which ends up waking the person up too much. This is just enough to light your way so you can see what you're doing without a harsh light that keeps you from falling back to sleep easily. 4This a cool, easy to program, quality gadget to have I really like how well it works, easy to program, the colors and good quality. As you can see with just a book end you can also use it as a multi-color motion/light sensor night light 5An illuminated toilet bowl is a great idea At first I thought that the idea of an illuminated toilet bowl was funny. However, given the choice of an illuminated toilet bowl, turning on the light, or missing, an illuminated toilet bowl is a great idea. This unit is much better than the first I used because there are no suction cups (which never stay attached) and it use AA batteries instead of AAA, and it has a 5 level dimmer for middle of the night eye comfort. 5Beautiful little accent Beautiful little accent. It s bright and colorful. Changes colors or can get to 1 color which set on aqua to match the bathroom. It turns on as you walk by or in the bathroom. 5pictures dont do justice everyone in my family loves it. the best silly thing ive ever gotten 5Not a lot to say...both of them work and are as described! ....I personally didn't like to idea of them being in the toilet bowl...thought it was kinda yucky for them to get splashed on. So I decided to put one against the wall and another in a basket nearby (with the motion detector facing the door when coming in). I think this is great! I was looking for a nightlight for the toilet since there's no plug nearby....these are PERFECT! 5Be safe; not sorry! I don t use these in the toilet . I use them on my night stand to light the way to the bathroom. Ten days ago I fell in the wee hours of the AM . in the dark, on my way to the bathroom and fractured my shoulder. 5Dont laugh. They work! I know some use these other than hanging off the toilet, but we use them for just that. I originally bought them to make my wife laugh a little and I was tired of stumbling into stuff to go potty at night. Well to my surprise the first night we had them my 3 year old daughter got up to use the "pink potty" all by herself and then went right back to bed! Now some of you may be raising you eyebrows and asking why I am making that a big deal. You obviously don't have a 3 year kid in potty training that wakes you up every night at 2-3am to get you to take then to the bathroom. Since then I have found my daughter going potty in the dark surrounded by a pink glow from the toilet bowl. Lol.Only real drawback I have is that the arm that wraps around the bowl tends to bend back up and needs to be adjusted from time to tine 5These work great over the long run I've bought some of the cheaper toilet lights. They work ok for a week or so then give up the ghost. These are quality made. I bought one about 6 or 8 months ago and it has never failed and I have not had to replace the batteries. Three AA's work better than the AAA's. I said back when I bought my first one that if it continued to work, I would buy more for other toilets. I added two more with this purchase and installed them. They seem to work as well as the first one. I'm very happy with them. 5One of the two failed within two weeks I'm unsure if this is just a bad "one of" or a product defect. One failed, the other still works. It is difficult to program if you wish to have a certain level of light (you can set the level to bright or lower shades of intensity), you can also pick one of multiple colors that factory setting is for the colors to rotate when it's operating. Unfortunately, the instructions that come with it don't work well, even when followed perfectly (I have a graduate degree and am NOT challenged either mechanically or technologically - I can handle things like this). Nevertheless, it's a GREAT idea, if you stumble to the bathroom in the middle of the night in total darkness. The motion detector is very sensitive and activates without fail every time. but good luck picking a single color OR dimming the brightness 2
