Perfect Wonderful, and exactly as advertised! I bought these to hang over my bed in college, and they look wonderful. I bought the 69ft, 200 LED size because I thought I'd need it, but for anyone wanting to hang lights over their beds, 100 LEDs will be more than enough. I have a large coil of lights hanging under my bed because I overestimated the amount of lights I'd need! 5I absolutely love these lights I absolutely love these lights! I used them to hang up under my lofted bed at college. There are several different settings to provide the mood that you want and there's also a choice to make the lights dimmer or brighter.The reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because the only way to control the lights is thru the remote, which will become a problem when the remote runs out of battery. I wish that there were a way to control the lights from where you plug them in so that I won't have to worry about replacing the battery in the remote. 4easily cover a 6 foot tree with lots of length ... Pros:- These lights are bright, festive, and low power- Lights are very long: easily cover a 6 foot tree with lots of length to spare- Low voltage is great for real trees: they're lower fire risk- A remote control makes it easy to control- Warm white color is niceCons:- The wire is a very visible white, which I don't think you can see in the pictures provided. On a green tree, they're definitely noticeable and some friends thought they were ugly. I personally don't think they're that bad, but I don't think the pictures do the visibility justice- Most of the "modes" (think "steady on," "flashing," "alternate neighbor lights on/off" etc) are pretty annoying and change speeds inexplicably. For example, a flash on/off which steadily gets faster until it's completely spasmatic until resetting back to a slow flashing and then repeating the cycle. There doesn't seem to be any ability to lock it into the current speed, so it keeps going through these cycles. The only "mode" we can really stand is steady on- The "remember the mode you're in" thing only works if you set it on the internal timer. If you turn the lights on/off manually, it resets back to the "go through every mode" thing- Dimmer doesn't really workIf you plan on 6 hours on, 12 hours off every day and you didn't mind a white cable, then I think these would be perfect. We like 2-3 hours on though and there's no way to really set that, so you have to turn it on/off and then change the pattern every time. We'll keep them and use them, but I think the timer function ends up hurting more than it helps to be honest. 3LOVE! Beautiful! Brightness is adjustable as well as multiple blinking patterns. LOVE having it on a timer! Seems like setting #1 should be plain lights (no blinking) but my daughter prefers blinking so it's not as annoying as I thought it would be. When on timer it defaults to the last pattern you set. 5Works well wrapped around a garland on the Christmas tree Purchased this for Christmas decor purposes, without really considering where I'd put them. I'm still a bit confused about whether or not these are okay to use outdoors or not (the guide that it comes with mentions backyard, patio, etc.), but I'm not sure if it's accounting for winter snow storms or anything, so I opted to err on the side of caution. I put them around my Christmas tree.The strands kind of a white-clear color, that I thought I could maybe get away with on a Christmas tree. It looked great when lit up at night; the strands weren't too noticeable. However, in the day time, they were a bit of an eye-sore on a green Christmas tree. I opted to wrap it around a red tinsel garland, and that pretty much solved the problem.I love the multiple settings, though I pretty much only set it on 2-steady on, given that my tree's already pre-lit (it's a $20 tree, so it's fairly sparse and doesn't have too many lights - hence the addition of these LED lights). There's a bit of flickering, but it's not too noticeable/ distracting.While I love that there's a remote control for the light settings (to turn on/off, or change the setting), I can't say I use it much (because of the whole pre-lit tree scenario, but also because my 2 year old nephew somehow got his hands on it and I have no idea where it is anymore). Even though the remote control's probably lost under a seat cushion, there's still a button on the cord of lights itself that allows you to adjust the setting.I feel like this would work really well as room decor even outside of the holiday season given the adjustable light settings and the remote control. You can easily DIY a lighted backdrop with these and some sheer panels. 5Great Lights These lights are everything I expected. The best part is the remote. Compared to the traditional Christmas lights I've purchased in the past these are absolutely a step above. Though they are a little more expensive, I've had them on basically 24 hours a day for the past two months -- no burnt out lights, and no hot wires or lights! I don't use the different settings often, but I do let my kids play with the remote sometimes; they are absolutely enthralled by this option. 5"clear" cord shows in tree The lights themselves work well. Dimmable is cool, but I really can't imagine wanting them less than full brightness. They have a bunch of modes, which is silly in my opinion. It's got a remote but the remote has to be in sight line of the receiver so it only works from limited locations. I wish I could buy a string of high quality LED lights that was just no-nonsense. The most disappointing things about these lights to me were the cord really shows in my tree. The string I was replacing had green cords which blended right in. Another disappointment, the lights are a funny shape so none of my old light covers fit on them. I have a bunch of stars and things that clip onto old style lights. I guess this is "progress". 3Beautiful, but short lived These were my first set of fairy lights and they are beautiful. I was able to line the entire top of my small living room and it created the perfect amount of light at night for chilling and watching tv. The remote works very well and has several options, though I mainly kept it on the always on mode. These lasted just under a year for me, until a small part of one end started dying :( 4Great lights I really, really like these lights. They are great for their price!! My favorite feature is that it plugs in, so I don't waste batteries. Its also small, beautiful, and very bright. Best of all - it has a dimmer so you can control HOW bright it really is. At night I like to keep it on the lowest setting as a soft relaxing light. The lights themselves are perfect. I whole heartedly recommend getting them.Sadly I had to take away one star because of the remote control (I actually would rate it 4.5 if I could). There are 3 issues:-The remote has 8 pre-programed settings. 1-7 of these I jokingly call seizure-inducing settings. They flash manically and are completely distracting and uncomfortable. I can't imagine ANYONE using any of these settings. The last setting is a solid steady light (no flashing) and that is the only usable setting. I wish it had a twinkle setting, a gentle dimming/brightening setting, etc. It would really be amazing if that was available.-The biggest flaw is that you can't turn these on without the remote. That really stinks because I lose remotes all the time.-Finally, the timer. This AWESOME idea isn't well executed. When you turn the timer on it goes into a cycle where it is on for some time (I think it was like 14 hours?) and then off for some time (10 hours?), and continues in this way until you turn the timer off or the remote runs out of batteries. I don't like the idea of running the remote out of batteries, especially since the lights won't turn on without it. However, I can see this being useful on a christmas tree, and I totally support keeping it for that. But I would appreciate a 1 hour timer. I like to go to sleep with the lights on, but don't need them on all night.Overall, I say buy the lights. They are great. But I really hope the developer re-programs the remote in the future to make it even better. 4Amazing Lights!! I received these lights today and on time with prime shipping. I wanted these lights for calm lighting at night. These lights are very nice for that with different brightness settings and different modes. I keep my lights on mode 8 - steady on. I keep the brightness somewhat in the middle. I showed a picture of the lights at the lowest and highest brightness setting at night. I also showed the fairy lights on along with my main light on, and the fairy lights off. As you can see, the lights are hard to notice when off. In my opinion, that's nice because they some other lights look bulky when they are off during the day. I got the 69' with 200 lights so I could have 2 strands on each side of my window. Knowing I would have extra, I safety pinned them to the back of my chair for a suttle glow, rather than draping them over. The remote is very handy. I can see myself falling asleep with them on, so I can turn them off from my bed. (that is also what the timer is for, but I am not sure if I am going to use it yet.) The lighting is very similar to what how it's described, "white light". The main picture is much more of a yellow light than my lights, which I am fine with. Overall, I am very impressed by these lights and rate them a 5, but that may change depending on how long it takes for them to die out. 5
