Customer Reviews

This anti-glare screen protector does a great job at reducing the glare I bought this screen protector for my new Lenovo Thinkpad 2-in-1 laptop. I knew with it being a touch screen that I would need a screen protector to protect it from scratches. The screen was also very glossy and hard to read in sunlight or even a regular glare. This anti-glare screen protector does a great job at reducing the glare, and I have not noticed any visual distortion at all. Text and images are still very clear and the screen is much easier to look at than the previous shiny/glare. I am able to use this outside in the sunlight without any issues. The screen protector was very easy to apply, and I love that there is no glue or adhesive that could damage my screen. If you follow the instructions in the package, it is very easy to apply, and I love that it is a 2 pack, so if this one should ever need to be replaced, I already have a backup on hand!An added bonus is that no fingerprints are left on the screen! I am able to use the touchscreen with both a stylus or my fingers and it works perfectly. The glossy screen was constantly having fingerprints or smear marks from the stylus stuck on it, but the matte finish of this anti-glare screen protector is virtually fingerprint and smudge free (which is huge for a touchscreen!).The only reason I am not giving this product 5 stars is because of the sizing. When it says that it fits a 14" screen, it means 14" and not a millimeter extra! You will need to apply this while your screen is on so that you can see exactly where the edge of the screen is. 4It's tedious to install It's tedious to install, but that's true of any screen protector. What I found to work best for removing the air bubbles was to combine the largest ones, then move the now very large air bubble around the screen, collecting the rest. If there's dust underneath it won't do a thing for that, but it works great and fairly easy (comparatively speaking) for removing those tiny, obstinate bubbles.I found it annoying that the protective sheet on the front of the screen protector started to lift off the screen protector itself, when attempting to remove it after installation. That was easily enough remedied, since I noticed while in the process, rather than after the fact.In spite of some small bits of dust, which I think is unavoidable, the image on my laptop is very clear. It isn't noticeable unless the laptop is turned off. 4Expect only one applicstion and only if you're careful These screen protectors look great and fit my MacBook 12in exactly. My only problem with these is that when I went to peel off the outside layer (#2) after spending a good 20 minutes cleaning my screen and another 10 minutes carefully aligning the protector, it peeled the whole protector right off my screen. I removed it slowly and gently, but to no avail. I was a little upset, since I had read other reviews and taken their advice to ensure my application was going to be perfect. I ended up using the 2nd protector included and repeated the whole process, being careful not to repeat my mistake. Now that the protector is on my screen, it looks nice. I just wish there would have been some kind of warning on the packaging, since I wasn't rough with the removal of the 2nd film at all. However, I did appreciate the inclusion of the guide stickers (you can also use 2 pieces of scotch tape) to be able to align the protector just right before sticking it down. Here are the steps I followed since the instructions aren't very clear:It's easiest to do this with your screen off (black) near a bright window so you can tilt your computer to see every smidge and speck of dust. It's easier to clean it this way and ensure a perfect application.1. Wipe down screen with alcohol wipe2. Use microfiber cloth (I used a glasses cleaning cloth, but there's also one included) to very gently buff out any streaks left behind by the alcohol3. Carefully blow off any dust left over. I don't recommend using the dust removal stickers because they're often too small and you'll end up smudging the screen by mistake with your fingers.4. Attach a guide sticker or piece of tape to each side of the protector, with the majority of the sticker hanging off the edge. Think of it like a pair of handles so you can align the protector without touching the actual protector.5. Peel off later6. Align the protector to your screem, and press down to stick. I found it easiest to start at the top edge of the screen, align the camera cut out, and make sure the top corners were even (there's about a 1mm gap on each side of the protector to the very edge of the screen), and then allow the protector to stick.7. Carefully remove guide stickers8. Gently press down on the protector to ensure it's properly adhered9. Use the included card to push out any bubbles. I had very few, so it shouldn't be a big deal. Don't be worried if you see any scratches appear, it's just the top layer (#2) scratching, not tour screen or the actual protector.10. Very very carefully remove layer #2. I lifted up the tab, and then held down the bottom right corner of the protector the 2nd time i did it to make sure it wouldn't pull the whole thing off.11. Enjoy your newly protected screen! 4Additional Instructions on Installation I installed these 2 protectives covers on two Dell Inspiron 15 computers today. The only caveat I experienced on this product was that of I was overconfident and took off the entire adhesive side of this product at one time. After placing it I discovered an unseen dust particle--not huge, just irritating to a person with OCD tendencies. In the future, I would still buy this product. When installing the protector I would carefully clean the glass surface (I used a wet spray cleaner) on my electronic item. Look for dust in the "glare" of the screen. Allow it to fully dry. When ready to position the protector, wipe the screen again with the cloth provided. Have the dust removing sticker close. Only remove the adhesive side of the protector partially from the long side. Begin there being sure that you have the protector straight. GRADUALLY begin laying the protector on the electronic screen. Remove the sticker a little at a time. Should you see that a speck of dust leaves a bubble, use the dust remover sticker immediately before proceeding. Replace the dust remover sticker back on its original sheet. Continue until the cover is securely placed. These lessons were learned after installing 3 protectors on 3 pieces of electronic equipment in 2 days. The third time (as described above) was the charm. Lesson learned![2PCS PACK] 15.6-inch Laptop Crystal Clear Screen Protector, FORITO Notebook Computer Screen Guard Protector for HP/DELL/Asus/Acer/Sony/Samsung/Lenovo/Toshiba etc, Dispaly 16:9 (2-Pieces/Pack) 5**NOT** "ANTI GLARE" There is absolutely NOTHING "anti glare" about this screen protector (see photos), and this was the sole reason for my purchasing it. I could practically use these things for mirrors, for all the good they do. I'm returning this junk immediately.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. 1Patience to put on - but excellent protector. The matte finish is perfect - and why I bought this product. It provides a nice surface, can hardly tell it's a protector and not the screen.A couple weeks ago I put a protector on a phone and they had a really great trick for positioning - which I used on this big thing, too. I don't think I could have gotten it exactly right had I not used this method: Before peeling any film, lay it where it needs to be and use scotch or masking tape (easily removable kind) to tape the long edge nearest the 'tab' to be pulled. (2 pieces positioned a couple inches from the ends should do it.) Then lift the film and start pulling the tab to remove the plastic a little bit at a time - with it up in the air a bit, adjust so it's straight (the tape keeps it aligned) and let the uncovered tabbed corner adhere to the screen. Slowly work your way diagonally pulling, adhering, and (I used a credit card) smoothing out. It just takes a bit of patience. I have zero air bubbles and just one tiny speck of dust I'd missed.Good product, but I wish it would have come with a microfiber cloth (my only con). 5Nice screen protector. Perfectionists beware. I'm a perfectionist, so installing this was basically the worst day of my life.I got this for a Lenovo T440, to keep the keyboard from putting wear marks on the screen. The product itself is good, but I was expecting too much from it.The Bad:Unless you're in a clean room, it's impossible to apply this without bubbles. This wasn't really the fault of the product itself, but more a limitation to what's physically possible. It's easy to install a bubble free screen protector on a small rigid screen. But on a large display like this, the size of the protector moving around is enough to kick up dust no matter what you do. You basically need a clean room.My particular laptop doesn't have a strong glass front on the display, so forcing the bubbles out without damaging the LCD panel was very difficult. Because I'm a perfectionist, I finally eliminated all bubbles and dust on the 3rd attempt... and damaged the LCD panel. That part is my fault. I got a decent result on the second try, but I HAD to go for perfection. Lenovos are easy to work on, so I just replaced the panel and moved on.The GOOD:OK. So aside from my ridiculous expectation that the protector go on as flawlessly as a rigid, tempered glass, phone screen protector, I think this is a great product. The matte finish looks indistinguishable from the matte finish on an OEM display panel. It came with everything you'd need to apply it, and I'm sure it would protect your screen from scuffs, scratches, and the keyboard wear marks just fine. So, if you don't mind a few tiny specks or bubbles at the edges or in the corners, this is a great screen protector. If I was to do this over again, I would get screen cleaner and use the wet application method. This method worked best for me, but by the time I figured this out, the multiple tries had taken their toll on the LCD display. If applied carefully, I think this method would give the best results. 4Great product! Excellent screen protector. I do have some advice for the purchaser, however. Fortunately, I ordered the two-pack because I messed up the first one by following the directions. Let me explain. I have 12 indoor cats, so obviously, I have a lot of cat hair floating around in my home. This is why I bought the screen protectors - to keep the hair off the screen, as well as scratches from their rambunctious claws. I thoroughly cleaned the screen, as directed. My first caution concerns the sticker provided called "dust lifter." It will leave marks on your screen unless you are very careful. What I ended up doing was rubbing down the screen with the provided cloth, then passing the sticker over any cat hairs or dust particles without actually touching the screen with the sticker.Second precaution: do not remove the plastic cover from side one (the sticky side). That is how I messed up the first one. As soon as you remove it, dust particles (and in my case, cat hair) will throw themselves at it, and you will not want to put that on your screen. Instead, start removing the short end via the tab, but position your screen protector on your computer screen, and continue pulling side one off as you continue positioning the screen protector on your computer screen. Then, use the provided plastic scraper to get the air bubbles out before removing side two. I have a bigger plastic scraper for use on those window clings you can get at Home Depot, so I used that instead of the little flimsy scraper provided for faster results. At this point, it will still look like there are a few small air bubbles left, but more than likely, those are between the side two plastic cover and the screen protector, so when you pull off side two, it should look perfect. Do not use the scraper on the screen protector itself without side two on it. If you do so, you will put scratches on the screen protector. So, with those precautions in mind, I highly recommend this product. I gave it four stars instead of five due to the ineffective instructions. 4Awesome screen protector! If you know how to apply it. Read on. This is my second time buying this anti glare screen protector. It comes with 2 screens in a package, but don't expect to use it on 2 different laptops, there is 99% chance you will screw up BIG time on the first application and will have to use the second screen anyway. That's what happened to me. In fact, I screwed up on the first one, and on the second one .. just not as much.I still have at least 10 bubbles that I can't get out and dust bubbles in a few spots. Its a totally different story with the second purchase. I got better at applying it AND the included "squeegee" is 10 times better then a crappy cardboard one that I got in the first package.I learned from my mistakes, don't bother with instructions by the way, they are not quite clear, I will give some tips below.First screen protector I applied didn't come out too great, acceptable but I knew I could do better.I tossed first screen protector out and started over with the second screen protector.Result: 99% Flawless application, no air bubbles, no dust bubbles! This screen protector works as advertised, it does in fact reduce glare by a lot (if you typically see your own reflection when the screen is off, with this protector it will be reduced by at least 60%), it does repel dust, and it does protect your screen from scratches, however the actual screen protector does scratch so don't start testing it by scratching it all over :D.Application steps/tips:1. First clean your screen, use the included dust cloth, first by itself, and then spray either Isopropyl Alcohol on it, or dab it with Hand Sanitizer. The alcohol is great at removing any residue and finger prints your might have on the screen, as well as it evaporates very quickly.DON'T USE INCLUDED "dust removing" stickers, they will most likely stick to your screen and then you will have to remove the stickers from your screen and the residue it left behind, it happened to me both times.I also recommend wiping the screen with a good microfiber cloth right after, mostly just to get rid of any static (electricity) on your screen, or it instantly can become a dust magnet again and you really don't want that while applying your screen protector.2. Now take your screen protector. There are 3 layers, I repeat 3 layers! (I've seen some reviews of people claiming the protector is either too thin, or doesn't reduce glare, or scratches easily, that's most likely because those people tried to apply the 1st or 3rd layer)The layer your want, the actual protector, is in the center. A RED sticker is attached to the bottom layer. Remove the bottom layer ALL the way!..3. MOST IMPORTANT STEP. Carefully take your screen protector by the corners (try not to touch the bottom side at this point). Line up the screen protector with your screen at 2 corners (I recommend left top and bottom, or right top and bottom). Don't bother with the squeegee at this point, just line up the corners and slowly let the screen protector "unroll" to the other side of the screen. If you didn't line it up right, I wouldn't bother redoing it, might as well start over with the second protector that's in your package. If you peel it off to do it again, there is going to be static electricity at this point and you might get dust in between your protector and your screen causing a lot of dust bubbles all over the screen.4. Now get the squeegee out, if you got the same squeegee as me, it will be plastic on one end and soft cloth on the other, in which case only use the soft side. For bigger bubbles you have to be slow, for smaller bubbles you can just rub the actual bubbles back and forth with the corner of the squeegee and they will go away. As a reminder, the top layer of the screen protector is still on at this point. Don't remove it until the very end. You can "scratch" the bubbles out as hard as you want, you will see scratches on top of the top layer, don't worry.. it's not going to scratch your screen or the actual protector... scratch away, and get as many bubble out as possible. Here is a thing though.. You might have a lot of bubbles, but chances are half of those bubbles are between the screen protector and its top layer.5. Once you get most or all of the bubbles out, take the top layer (by the BLUE sticker) and remove it. Viola! You are done. Here is what to do with remaining bubbles if you have any.. Don't start scratching them away, place the protective layer you just removed back on top of those bubbles and get them out this way, one bubble at a time, you don't want to scratch your protector as this point.Get all the bubbles out, wipe your screen and you are done. 5Static. Not anti-glare/matte. Not worth the price or effort. Microfiber cloth somehow gave off more fuzz and particles than I had on the screen to begin with. Once I got all the light gray fuzz off with a different microfiber cloth, placement of the first side was complicated due to the corner stickers peeling off by themselves without bringing the clear covers with them. Managed to get the first cover off, but the static from the whole piece brought more particles up between the cover and the screen once placed.Ended up removing the first screen cover and retrying the whole process with the second, which I was able to get on with minimal bubbles. This one also had the problem of the corner stickers peeling off without bringing the clear cover with it. Ended up picking at the corner of one of them for a few minutes to try getting the second layer off, only for more particles to get between the cover and the screen. Peeled part of it back up, used the dust-remover sticker (which worked great!) and peeled the second layer off. Then I noticed it wasn't anti-glare at all and I could see the reflections of my room perfectly. Thankfully all the picking at the one corner made the whole thing easy to remove from the screen to go into the trash. 1
