Get the version with the clips! Gear S3 match!Actually very pleased with this product. I bought the version with the clips that hug the body so that the band is more flush with the casing of my Gear S3 Frontier, and doesn't look anemic. The band is actually an entire kit for installing and adjusting the band. This was a nice surprise. The clips were kind of a tight fit between the watch's band arms, but it was installed with a bit of finagling. The fit and finish of the band match perfectly with the watch. The clasp mechanism isn't my most favorite but all things considered, it works very well for the price. Overall I give this product a 4.6 out of 5.0 stars. I feel like it's a perfect pairing for my Samsung Gear S3!5Shield can damage your watch.The little metal pieces that hide the gap where watch face connects will cause damage to your watch. 4 months of wear, replaced the band and there is a solid scratch on both sides of my watch where the shield is.Had i known this i would not have bought this band... or at least left the shield off. Great watch band otherwise. If you dont care about ever taking the shield off it really does look good with it on. Fits nice and tight too.**Update to review**Was contacted by seller who apologized for the inconvenience of issue and offered to send a different band at no charge. I didn't ask for any compensation but also found they had refunded my order of the original band. I appreciate the concern as my review was mostly for letting people know not to use the little shields, but the band itself is solid. Great customer service and for the price you really cant beat a replacement band for your watches.5Nice, but just out of the Goldilocks zone...Straight to the point, this band is really nice for the price but it misses perfections in two ways for me.1. The only way to adjust the size of the band is to remove/add links - there is no micro-adjustment at the clasp. Removal of four links is too much and three links is not enough for my wrist. So I have to wear the watch loose.2. The color of the stainless steel band is just slightly off from the color of the Samsung Galaxy 46mm watch body. It's likely hard to see in the photo I took but you can notice is some of the other review photos as well as in person. The band has slightly warmer tones in its color vs. the cooler tones in the Samsung Galaxy watch.I can't comment on durability at this point. I've only been wearing it for a few weeks but it does fit really nicely into the base of the Galaxy 46mm.Having said all of that, I have received a few compliments on the overall look of the watch, no doubt in part to the matching stainless steel band.Hope this helps.4Perfect fit on Galaxy 46mm (22mm band). Caution on adjustments.I read most of the reviews before deciding to buy this band. I read some that listed issues with breaking after 6 months, but since I see the same comments on almost every other similar watch band, I chose to disregard that and try the brand out. I also read about concerns with not having fine adjustment on the watch band size (you can only remove whole links). I decided to take a chance that my wrist will fit well with only link adjustments. Otherwise, I should have been able to return it at the amazon locker across the street from my work...Disclosure: This review is after having had it installed for only about 20 minutes. So, anything regarding longevity is only conjecture.Installation: Initial fit was perfect on the Galaxy 46mm. The curved end pieces fit near perfectly in the watch "connection point?" (what is this part of the watch called?). I did have a little trouble as on one side the pin just didn't quite want to go into the watch hole. I just had to keep pushing it and slightly wiggling it while pushing the pin into the hole until it finally popped in. Once it went in the fitment was perfect with no gap between the band and the watch. Since I mostly went with this band due to the review of the solid material connection pieces and the desire to close the gap between the band and the watch, I don't mind the slight struggle during installation to get tight fitment. The link remover tool worked well. The pin you twist in "wobbled" a little, so it was a bit finicky, but worked well and I could remove three links (I did one at a time) within just a few minutes.In my case, after removing three the fit was perfect. I did have a concern that without the fine adjustment holes it may be either too snug or too lose. Perhaps the link width is just small enough that it is sufficient for anyone, or I am just lucky that it fits appropriately. What I wish the manufacturer would do in lieu of having the fine adjustment holes is to make a couple links as 1.4x, 1.0x, 0.7x length. They could stagger the length as you get close to the clasp and doing so could allow you to remove longer or shorter lengths until you get just the right fit. Though I realize that even though this sounds good to me, others may not like having the resulting look of different sized links.Regarding longevity, I did notice when removing links that some pins were tighter and some were looser (less force to push out). I suspect that there may be a QC control issue with the thickness of the pins. As a result, over time the looser ones could tend to fall out and result in what some of the reviews have indicated. That being said, I am keeping all the pins for the links I removed to use as backups in case over time any pins do decide to fall out. I am also a bit concerned about how the metal will hold up to scratches, but I think that is going to be the nature of any metal band link this one.I like that the clasp plate is small and is only about the size of a single link. I have had band clasps before that are an inch long, and I just don't like that style. I also like the double button release on the clasp.I thought I was not going to like the additional weight from the band after having had the lightweight rubber band from Samsung. However, the weight around the wrist sort of balances the weight of the watch. Time will tell if I really like it better than a rubber band (comfort wise), but it is certainly not a problem like I thought it might be.Summary & Stars: I took one star off of durability for not having fine adjustment ability and the observation that some pins have fairly little resistance to being pushed out of the links. Since I haven't experienced any failure yet (again 20 minutes) and since it is fitting my wrist fine, I gave it 5 stars overall (for now). Overall, the initial experience is that it fits great, looks great, and seems to be built very solid other than mentioned.5Completes the WatchThe band that comes with the Galaxy Watch out of the box is too casual for me and the other metal ones I ordered are a joke and look cheap. This one one on the other hand completes it. I read a few reviews before ordering this and figured I was just going to have to devote some time to get this to work. Boy was I surprised. It was super easier and if you just take a minute to figure things out it doesn't take long AT ALL. I think I spent maybe 20 min on the installation...and that is with removing a link then two more then adding one back in. WAAAAY easier then the other metal bands I got...you know the one I'm talking about...the one that give you two color option and send you that cheap ping hammer to hammer out the pins. This one is way easier then that and the tool they give you is much more precise then a hammer. And contrary to what some reviewers are saying this is not a "permanent" band by any stretch. You can remove this and slap on that silicon workout band easy peasy if you want. I highly suggest this product. I hope this helps some of you!5Great band to dress up the Galaxy WatchAs you can see this bank very closely matches the finish of the Galaxy Watch. When accompanied with the Rinke Bezel Styling ring it totally transforms the look of the watch. The clasp is of good quality and has never come unclasped unintentionally. However, the clasp is not adjustable so your only adjustments are by removing or adding links. I would prefer an alternate style clasp that offered a few holes to fine tune the fit. This band also features "gapless" terminations at the watch body. While they are good, they are not perfect as you can see in the picture. The piece on the opposite side of the watch (not pictured) actually fits almost perfectly whereas the piece you can see here has an obvious visible scallop of the watch body showing. It is possible that my particular band is actually defective but I haven't seen enough high quality pictures on other Galaxy watches to make that determination.4Hand down THE best watch band for the new Samsung Galaxy Gear SM-R800Let me start by saying that I am not the typical person that EVER writes reviews. I have no affiliation with this company that sells this watch and am simply a consumer looking for the best watch band for my brand new galaxy gear watch. To give you a little back ground, I hated the black rubber strap that came with the watch and bought four bands ranging from Walmart to eBay all within the price range of this band on Amazon. None had the curved ends and looked horrible for this watch.To my pleasure I received this band (WITH NEXT DAY SHIPPING) and anticipated all sorts of trouble installing it based on all the consumer reviews on Amazon. I found this to be exactly the opposite and literally had it installed on my R800 within 10 minutes and that included removing a link from each side of the band to shorten it for my wrist. The quick release pins with the SOLID END curved link that attaches to the watch went on without any special tools and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the company that sold the watch also included a special high quality link removal tool to make this process problem free. Literally start to finish with 10 MINUTES!!To all the people that complained about installation, or scratching of the watch, I found this to be far from my experience. The solid end curved links....YES SOLID END, went on perfect and fit like a glove. Serious! I was expecting hollow curved links but was thrilled the curved ends were solid almost similar to the curved end link on my Rolex Submariner.And...I can't say enough about the quality and weight of this watch band. It is the best band I have seen to date and when I say it seriously rivals the band for my $8000 Submariner, I really mean it. The finish of the band matches the watch perfectly in a brushed metal and you would never be able to determine that they weren't sold together with the watch.I could go on and on about this watch band to where you would think I worked for the company, but I'll simply say if you have the newer galaxy gear r-800 46mm watch face with 22mm strap openings, look no further as you would be remiss if you didn't get this band. Let the photos speak for themselves.Oh and to the company, knowing what I know about this band now, I would pay double the price you are selling it for. Seriously. I am a watch snob (see reference to my Rolex Submariner) and absolutely love this band. My Rolex will be on my wrist for special occasions now and this galaxy gear with your band will be on it the majority of the time.LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!And to the company....if you want to sell more of this band, add photos showing the solid end links that attach to the watch. That is a HUGE selling point! Every other watch band that I bought had hollow end links and were cheap and flimsy. Add this photo and you will double your sales, trust me.5Four watch bands comparedI bought four watch bands to try out on my Gear S3 Frontier: SMYTShop for Gear S3 Frontier Watch Band,22mm Solid Metal Stainless Steel Replacement Business Bracelet Wristband Strap Metal Clasp for Samsung Gear S3 Frontier (Black) This band installs easily and looks really nice, however I found myself having to constantly mess with the clasp when putting it on and taking it off. I had to repeatedly push on the band for the clasp to work when putting it on, and repeatedly pushing the clasp release to take it off. This was extremely annoying; Gear S3 Bands, TRUMiRR 22mm Solid Quick Release Watch Band Stainless Steel Metal Butterfly Buckle Strap for Samsung Gear S3 Classic Frontier, Gear 2 R380 R381 R382, Moto 360 2 46mm Smartwatch, Black This band installs easily, it looks really nice, and the clasp is reliable; V-Moro for Gear S3 Classic/Frontier Watch Band, 22mm Solid Metal Stainless Steel Replacement Business Bracelet Wristband Strap for Samsung Gear S3 Sports Smartwatch 5.7 -7.48 (Metal Black+Clips) This band was extremely painful to install. The instructions say to simply put the pin in the watch on one side and then the other, however the clips are a tight fit and you can t angle the band to follow the instructions. You have to simultaneously compress both sides of each pin, and the clips make this very difficult to do. It is extremely easy to scratch up your watch while trying to install this band. The clips do dress up the band more than the others and I would say that this is the best looking of the bands because of the clips;The above three bands have a limitation where you have to remove links to adjust their length, and you want the Gear S3 snug or else the heart rate monitor is not reliable and the watch can ride up and down your wrist which I found painful. For the SMYTShop and the V-Moro, I was not able to adjust them where the fit was perfect, they were either too tight or too lose. I was able to adjust the TRUMiRR so it had a perfect fit, but each of these bands have links of slightly different width, so which one is going to fit perfectly will be different for each person; Gear S3 Frontier / Classic Watch Band, V-Moro Black Milanese Loop Mesh Stainless Steel Metal Bracelet Strap with Strong Magnet for Samsung Gear S3 Frontier / S3 Classic Sports Smartwatch 5.5"-8.1" This band installs easily, it looks really nice, and the clasp is magnetic and reliable. Because of the mesh, it felt more comfortable than the other bands. Since it is almost infinitely adjustable, it s very easy to get the watch perfectly snug. I did notice some wear on the inside of the band after a short amount of time, but nobody will see this. Unless you want to buy multiple bands and try them all out like I did, I would recommend this band above the rest.3Must buy for the Galaxy Watch 46mmEdit: I contacted the seller with the attached picture and they sent me a new band no questions asked (awesome customer service). The new band attached to the watch perfectly in less then 10 seconds. This is a definite MUST buy if you want your Galaxy Watch 46mm to look like a high-end watch. I'll use the stock band when doing any physical activities but will be using this band as my daily.I tried for an hour to attach the band to the watch but on both ends the right side (if you're looking at the watch face) pin will not line up. I have always done my own watch band adjustments on all my watches including my Breitling, Tag Heuer, Citizen, down to my Invicta. I know how to adjust, remove, and size a watch bracelet and this one will just not attach correctly.I took it to my local jeweler (because I really like to look of the band with the watch) and they also could not get the same side of the band to line up so the pin locks. The jeweler also tried with just the end link while the bracelet was not attached also with no luck.As you can see in the photo you can see the top side of the band sits much lower in the watch letting the pin insert into the watch where the lower side of the band sits much higher stopping the pin from lining up.Waiting to hear back from the seller and will revise my review once I do. I really want this bracelet to work because it looks amazing.5Survived a 10-day European tripSo it was a little difficult to get on, but if you are careful you can do it without any scratches like others experienced. (If you fear scratching things, make sure you install it from the back and use masking tape on the watch during the install.) The tools included are perfectly adequate for the job. This fits me better than the SX S3 band I purchased on Amazon, and was a bit larger. (This one needed a couple of links removed, the other was pretty small.) Once the links were removed, this fit perfect. I liked this band also because of the little transition clips that blend into the body. The only minor issue I had was that the clasp sometimes is slightly difficult to release, but better that than the inverse. Other than that, this band fit perfectly, never came loose, never caught on anything like a sleeve or whatever; a comfortable band that lasted through 10 days of travel. Too bad it outlasted the watch. :-( UPDATE: watch repaired; about 6 months later one of the links separated and the watch fell off. Put it back together and it happened again. Looks like the pins just wear out, causing the links to separate. Lowering my rating to 2 stars because this shouldn't happen.2
