    Great product, but . . . This product is exactly what I was looking for. The Samsung vr fear fits perfectly with room for minor essentials like ear buds and charging cords. I love the strap that clips the headset in place. The outside is very sturdy. Now the reason for my rating. IT SMELLS. Really bad. Not sure what it is, could be cigarette smoke for all I know, but I am going on 3 days now of frebreezing it and the smell is still there. It is not subtle. 3Great travel case for my new Samsung VR. This case feels sturdy and protective, but yet lightweight for travel. It is a bit bulky but I can still carry it in a standard sized backpack when traveling. Since I have the latest VR that includes the remote, I had to get a bit creative when storing the remote with the headset. I placed a baby wash cloth in the inside lens area of the headset and placed the remote outside of the wash cloth so that the inside lens wouldn't get scratched. I chose this case instead of the larger one which states it includes an area for remote or gaming controller because I thought it would be easier for travel. Unlike a similar shell I purchased from this manufacture, it does have a slight "recycled tire" smell, but I plan on spraying it again with XO or Febreeze to rid it of the smell. 4Fits perfect. I can also fit my 8Bitdo NES30 Pro ... Now I can throw away the box for my VR that it came in. Fits perfect. I can also fit my 8Bitdo NES30 Pro Bluetooth controller in there. 5Large case holds a lot and doensn't stink. Several previous reviews mentioned these cases had a bad cigarette smell. If it was a problem before it seems to be gone now. There is faint plastic smell but a nothing overpowering that a spray of your favorite deodorizer can't handle.The large case is a little snug on the sides of the newer wider Gear VR units, but not unreasonably so. I was able to fit EVERYTHING I could need while travelling with my Gear VR. In the picture, the Gear VR controller is under the Xbox One controller so you can't really see it but it's there. Also, I put my earbuds in there but I took them out for the picture. The zipper on this sort of seals which is cool. Also, the net on top has Velcro so it sticks to the case to seal it so nothing falls out. It's very solid too. I really like this case although I've only had it for about 20 minutes. I tried a different case before that was too small for the 2017 Gear VR so I wanted to let people know that this one will fit it. 5That smell... I don't know what to do with this. The case is perfect but the smell completely ruins it for me. The size, material, construction, everything is exactly what I was looking for but I can't let this horrid stench infiltrate something that I put on my face. I've had this thing hanging outside airing out for two days now and it hasn't made a difference. I'll keep trying but be warned, this thing smells like someone tried to artificially replicate cigarette smoke with some heavy duty chemicals.I should have bought a different one and I still might. Maybe I could zip this up and cut a hole it in then leave it outside as a birdhouse or something. The birds probably wouldn't want to live in it though due to the smell. 2A quality, must have, accessory for your Gear VR Immediately after un-boxing my new headset, I realized a case was a must, not only for protection but to keep track of the little adapters that comes with it.I completely agree with the positive reviews of this case that made me decide on buying it. It feels tough but very light. It's large enough to hold the headset and a controller but also nice and compact. I especially like the velcro lip on the top of the mesh pouch of the inside lid, which keeps those aforementioned adapters from spilling out if the case gets knocked around. Both the inside lining and outside surfaces feel nice. This is a quality, must have, accessory for your Gear VR. 5What the heck is that smell!?!? I do believe they made this case from the soiled hide of a chain-smoking Minotaur. I have attempted to extinguish the evil stench that reeks from within using a heavy duty air freshener, but alas, after many days of battle, my will to win has been exhausted. Sadly, while the overall design of the case is good, I cannot allow the foulness of its odor to permeate my beloved equipment. And, as I have spent days spraying the gibbity nickets out of it, I cannot return it, either. This was, for me, just a waste of money. Buyer beware!!! 2Horrible smell Right out of the box it has a horrible smell; the smell is akin to wet cigarette butts and burning plastic mixed together. The odor is strong enough that it was detectable through the house.Structurally the case is well built for the price; however I do not want to put the VR unit inside it as I m afraid the foam will pick up the smell of this case.I m going to give it a chance to outgas in my garage. Hopefully the smell will subside. However at this point it is unusable as I can t even keep it in the house. 1Great VR storage This case is perfect for my gear Vr. I am actually able to fit the headset, a cleaning cloth, my steel series conteoller and a pair of ear buds all in this case comfortably. Great case and great price. 5
