After rereading all the fine print I found out that they tell you to ... These speakers are advertised as weatherproof Patio speakers but a heavy fog destroyed the bass portion of both speakers. After rereading all the fine print I found out that they tell you to protect them from the elements. They need to be advertised for uses on covered/enclosed patios only. 1Lasted about 6 Months no warranty Worked well when they were actually working. Then, less than 6 months from purchase date (not the date I actually started using them, which was about a month later), they just quit working. They were supposed to have a 1 year warranty from what I was able to glean from the product description, so I asked the seller to honor the warranty. I was told the warranty was 90 days and this is now my problem. Into the trash they go. I would not recommend. 1Quality sound and well built! Just bought these speakers for our back yard patio area. They are quality made, solid, and put out a very nice quality sound for rock speakers. Set up was also easy. We have a large back yard patio area and they are more than enough to cover the whole area. They sound great!My only complaint is that the color of the rock speaker is more of a sand color as opposed to the brownish color that is pictured on line and what we ordered to match our existing rock decor. The connection speaker wire between the pair could be a little longer than 10 feet, so I added about two feet more for where I placed them. Other than this, we are very happy with them and enjoy listening to our smooth jazz and country music on them most evenings. I would highly reccomend them. 5The Speakers Sound Great I just received my speakers and I like them. They were easy to connect and paired to my ipod (yes ipod) without issue. The speakers are loud and the sound is clear with nice bass.There's two things that concern me, 1) there is no on and off switch (I'm new to outdoor speakers and I don't know if outdoor speakers have on and off switches, but this is a concern of mine. I will just unplug when not in use. 2) the wire caps that are provided do not cover the speaker wires tightly, they can easily slip off, so my concern is if it rains and the speaker wires get wet what will happen? Can I just place electrical tape over the caps for added protection?It's really too early to give a full review for these speakers as I've only had them for 1 hour now, but was eager to attach and listen. I purchased the extra warranty for these speakers in the event something went wrong after reading other reviews.I would recommend them to others.I had to return my speakers, after owning them for about 3 weeks, for some reason there was a popping sound that would not stop. I unplugged them and then plugged them back in and the same popping sound occurred. The maker of the speaker reached out to me and informed me that they have sold many speakers and have not had that this type of complaint before. I've searched the reviews and found, I believe two other people that reported this issue. I hope OSD Audio really looks into this issue and comes up with a fix.I'm not giving up though, maybe I received bad speakers. I'm going to reorder them and see what happens when I receive the new pair.I'll keep you posted. 4Great all around outdoor speakers. I bought the Bluetooth Wireless Rock Speaker Pair, 8"Got them in the post yesterday and installed them today. Very easy to set up. They connected quickly to my iPhone with no problem. All that said. I did have a few issues. They sound great, but I wish they had a touch more base. You have to turn them up pretty loudly to get full range sound from them. I also have an issue with the speaker cutting out a little. I think this might be how good the bluetooth signal is. If I place my iPhone near the main speaker and don't move it the cutting out almost completely disappears. Lastly I wish the rock paint finish was a bit more natural. They stick out very clearly in the yard. I'll get out my craft paint and make them look a bit more natural this weekend. I'll update my review after I've had them a bit to see how they hold up in the yard. 3Rock Out! Ordered these "rock" speakers to place pool side. They just arrived yesterday so I will update my review if needed later. So far...they were easy to connect and place. First impressions...Love their look. They sound AMAZING. I was shocked. Connected an iPod and then a phone. I did notice that I cannot move the device providing the music more than about 15 ft away from the master speaker as the BT starts cutting out and the speakers start popping. The popping only occurs when the BT is cutting in and out. As long as the device providing the tunes stays close to the speakers, all is well! My concerns: While these are "outdoor" speakers, the insert that came with it says to keep them out of the direct elements. My speakers are straight up right out in the sun, rain, wind etc. I do plan on covering them when it rains however, I wish I didn't have to, and maybe I do not but I do not want to take that chance especially with what is written on the insert. I live in an extremely hot and humid area (in the summer)so I am curious to see how these hold up. The other concern I have, has to do with where the speaker wires connect to each other. The blue "waterproof caps"...will not do the trick. We will be purchasing something different but in the meantime, we are keeping our fingers crossed. If these last a few years, I will be SO happy but if I only get one season out of them, I will be really disappointed. An update in the fall.. 4These will Rock Your World!!!!! I've had these for almost two years now and they are solid! They are loud and they sound great. The Bluetooth range is as advertised and it's easy to connect. I never turn my speakers off and I keep them on 24/7. I waited to post this review because I wanted to see how they do after a few seasons of abuse. I'm impressed and this was a solid purchase!!!! 5Wow! Incredible quality and value! I came into this with fairly low expectations. And wow did I set the bar too low! Out of the box these were super simple to setup and Bluetooth connected instantly. I was able to walk 100 feet away (direct sight) with no loss of sound quality. The speakers themselves are fairly heavy (about 10 pounds each) but appear to be made very well. The sound quality blew me away. I was scratching my head wondering if these were Bose? Not kidding.Time will tell if they hold up in the weather. I need to devise my strategy for mounting them....But my initial impression is: Wow! Incredible quality and value! 56 STARS How to set these up. Never loses Bluetooth connection. Powerful quality sound. No problem with sprinklers 3X a Week Maybe the best item I've ever purchased on Amazon for the money. I rarely give five stars.The speakers maintain the Bluetooth connection with Alexa from 30 feet away through a double pane glass window. The sound is absolutely awesome. It is equivalent to my 200 W Logitech speaker system except that the base does not pound quite as hard as the Logitech. It is important to spread the speakers no more than 20 feet apart. The speakers will then create a cone of stereo sound with the apex about 50 feet away from the speakers. I have the speakers in my 50X100 backyard which is next to a busy street And when the speakers are on level 10 you cannot hear any street noise at all unless a Harley goes by.These speakers get hit by my sprinklers three times a week and I have not had any problem at all. I have the speakers set on the ground at HIGH POINTS that are elevated approximately 2 inches from the surrounding groundSo they will not be subject to any ponding water. I have the power supply inside of a waterproof electrical connection box which cost seven dollars. There are many different kinds of these available on Amazon and they are made specifically for this purpose. I also have my 120 V outdoor lightS electrical connections inside the same box.I have been researching outdoor speakers for a long time because of the road noise in my backyard. The first one I bought for more than $200 is the acoustic research Hatteras outdoor Bluetooth speaker which cost more money than these two rock speakers. The HatterasTurns off automatically when it does not receive Music overBluetooth for more than three minutes. That is extremely annoying and there is no way to turn it off! I talked to several people at acoustic research technical support. The Hatterasis only one speaker so it cannot produce stereo sound,And the quality of sound is nowhere close to these two rock speaker's. The Hatteras does not even compare to these two speakers even though it cost more money and it has great reviews on Amazon and other websites. 5I can recommend The OSD speakers are very nice looking, good sounding outdoor speakers. We use them on our deck with an Echo Dot. The only thing I wish is that Amazon ad more music controls to their music player.I can't add any kind of bass or treble to the mix. The OSD speakers do have nice highs and the bass is solid. I tested them through my tablet and they really sounded great using SiriusXM and the sound controls I have for that.Just to better protect the speakers I wiped them down kind of heavy with Never Wet. The rain water that does get on them beads right off. Never Wet really does work and should ad to the life span of these speakers.I can recommend the OSD speaker and would buy them again. 5
