Aweosme. I love this sub.This is why:I don't need my chest vibrating, but this sucker really gives it a good thump. I can easily remove it, so when I need to pack the car full of crap I can. It is super easy to hide, so it I turn it down people don't think/hear/see the inner douchebag coming out.It is a good sub, hits decent, and fast.I like it. 5Excellent Solution For Small Spaces I have owned this product for nearly six months, and I am quite satisfied with it. I have had no problems with quality of workmanship, parts, performance, or reliability (though, I should note that the unit turns off if the stereo is not turned up past a certain volume level, which is something I wasn't expecting for some reason). Readers should be aware that I have a low technical knowledge of electronics, and audio equipment; and while I play the bass and love music, I am not an accomplished musician or expert in sound quality either.First, I installed the unit myself. I purchased an additional kit in order to have adequate quality and length for the cables running from the back of the Bazooka unit (A/V and power) to the back of an after market Kenwood deck (and the battery, in the case of the power cable). Set up and installation were not difficult for me, though, I can see why someone not inclined to fiddle with things themselves would want to have it installed.Second, this is literally one of the only units that would fit in my 97 Nissan, single cab pickup. The seat is pulled way forward, and the unit barely fits- but it's in there.Third, I listen to all genres of music, and I feel like this unit adds the needed depth to most musical experiences. However, it should be noted that this is not a "bass system" in the sense that most people are hoping. It fills the cab of my truck with sound, I can feel it vibrating the back of my seat and see it vibrating the mirrors, but it is not the kind of gut rattling - stare inducing - wall of sound, bass for which many enthusiasts are looking. I love to listen to hip-hop, pop, and rap music. However, this unit does not necessarily do those genres justice. Is it better than door mounted speakers alone? Absolutely. Will people in the cars next to you at stop lights be able to tell what you are listening to? Nah.So, here is the bottom line. People that purchase these speakers should have reasonable expectations about what this unit will accomplish. It will add the much needed "lower end" to the music you enjoy. It is likely to keep up with the output of your deck and other speakers. It is convenient because it fits in small vehicles and does not require an amplifier. Buyers should note that this unit will be a huge disappointment if you are looking for something to carry a "bass system." It will not give you either the volume or the ultra low range of bass that is necessary to enjoy certain types of hip-hop and rap.This unit has been well worth the money I paid for it, both in its reliability and in its quality performance. Five stars. 5100 watts of clean crisp bass! Wow this thing packs a punch! nice crisp sounding bass. Easy to install, and takes little to no room up in the 10 Corolla. I first purchased the 50 watt version and was reading the reviews about how much better the 100 watt bazooka tube was and the reviews were right. If you don't care about sound and just want alittle bump ,but if you want crisp sounding bass get 100 watt version is much better. 5Great for the price I purchased this for my 2006 Taurus to suppliment the factory system. I could not be more pleased with how it performs. However if you want super thunder bass that the cars around you will hear, this isn't the sub you want. It does guve more than enough bass for the people in your car. It isn't overpowering, but you will definately feel and hear the lows that factory speakers just cannot reproduce. I don't know if I would put it in a sedan. because it is a little tricky to mount. But it would be perfect in a wagon, hatchback or minivan. The mounting system and quick connect coupler make it easy to remove if you need the extra room. The wiring harness included witgh the sub makes wiring a snap if you have some experience - first time electricians may want some help though. I installed mine start to finish in about 1.5 hours. You can't beat the price, as it is worth every penny. It is the perfect addition to make your factory system sound much, much better.Update: I recently bought another one of these for my 2015 Taurus, and I was again pleasantly surprised with its performance. I thought with my car being a sedan, it would be hard to hear being in the trunk. I couldn t have been more wrong. It seems to use the whole trunk to amplify the bass, and really reverberates through the cabin. Now it did take myself and a friend about 4 hours to install, but we weren t trying to break any records. This item is still well worth the money, and it gives off more than enough bass. If you are looking for a sub that people down the street will hear, this isn t the one. But it nicely fills the low end void that the factory system leaves. I highly recommend this product! 5Attention:: If speaker does not work amp might need to b replaced.. K After my ordering my 3rd speaker with neither one of them working I contacted Bazooka. I spoke with Jan which is an audio developer he came to the solution to send a Amplifier and replace the one that came in speaker. After taking the new Amp out of box I could tell their was a huge difference in the style. So I hooked it up and finally that was the answer with the great sound. My advice is if it does not work contact Bazooka most likely its the amp that needs to be replaced. 51st One Gold, 2nd One Garbage!!! Received the Bazooka BTA850 on October 10, 2016. The product stopped working today, November 22, 2016. I have mixed feelings about this product. I ordered this to replace my Bazooka BTA from a couple of years back. I owned for nearly 3 years. It added joy to my MKT. It still works, but the end with the amp has come loose and there's a terrible rattle with the product. So, I ordered another one. It stopped working!! The first one lasted a couple of years and the second only a couple of days. Ugh!!!! I miss my sound. Now, you can see why I have mixed feelings about this product.Now, I must address Amazon. I called today and explained what happened. Amazon opted not to do anything at first. I am a loyal Amazon Prime member. I shop Amazon for mostly anything I need. I've only had 2 or 3 issues over nearly a decade. I can't believe the product just stopped working. I guess after explaining my dissatisfaction they described to take care of the situation. I really mis my sound though. Ugh again!!! 2DOA 2X! Ordered this item, had Best Buy wire it in, then found out it was DOA! (Yes Best Buy should have tested it before install). Called and was sent a replacement, and that one also DOA! (Even just got one from the Bazooka today that is also DOA!). So 2X DOA from Amazon, and 1X DOA from Bazooka! And funny thing is I have one from 5 + years ago that is still working like a champ! Not sure why 3 different speakers were not working when they came out. I have hooked the working one up to both sides, and it works fine, this one didn't work on either side, so I know it's not the wiring, and that it's the speaker! Hopefully you will have better luck then I did with ordering this product, as it stands now at 3 and counting of NOT working speakers. Let's go for 4! 1Good Buy If you're looking for some added bass in your vehicle, this is the way to go. Back in high school, I had two 12" subs in a box and had an amp. Who wants to mess with that? Just buy this. Ground it to a bolt and connect the provided wiring and BAM you're done. I ran the wiring under door panels and made it clean. Even with taking my time there it only took about 30 minutes to install. Right now, it's running at only 20% of what it could be and that is plenty. You won't win sub competitions with this, but if you're looking to add some bass to your vehicle, I'd recommend this. Would buy again. 4Don t waste your money Complete trash or I got a bad sub out of the box. I paid a stereo shop to install the 50 Watt powered easy bass for my daughter for graduation and after install they showed me that it wasn t even an improvement to her Ford Focus SE (regular stock stereo) I then purchased a 100 Watt model and truly it only sounds like 20 % better. Bazooka subs have went way downhill since I used to have them through High School and also had 2 different boats with them. I will update review if Bazooka tech service is able to help out with the mediocre sound coming from the 100 Watt model. 1Perfect for what I needed I was looking for something to just accent the stock speakers in my car. I didn't want to go to the trouble of buying an amp, a new head unit, additional speakers and then the installation! Leave that to the real enthusiasts. I just wanted to throw something in the back of my trunk and call it a day. This is as close as you're going to get unless you want to pay someone to do it for you.After maybe a little under a year owning these, I'm still really happy with the purchase. The bass can really rattle the trunk if you're playing the right kind of music. And it seems to respond well to my adjustments on my mediocre stereo. I have the (additional purchase) switch running to the front of my car, so I can adjust the level. I generally have to keep it around a 3 or 4 (out of 10) or else it's just way too much bass.It has its faults: the bass gets muddy at high levels - the installation/manual sucked for someone with no experience but was manageable. But again if you're looking for a serious system in your car, all-in-one enclosures like this aren't probably going to cut it. However, for someone like myself who wanted a little more power, this was perfect. 4
