    I feel safe wearing these These gloves are exactly what I need. I've been searching for the perfect glove for use with chemicals at my job. The gloves my employer provides are so cheap and in the back of my mind I don't trust them. So I did a search on gloves on my own time and came across the Showa brand. I bought these on my own dime and it's worth it. The fit is impeccable, they hold up, and best of all I have peace of mind that my hands and arms are safe when dipping into chemicals. 5Love them for cleaning fish tanks These things are awesome. They make me feel like I'm in Breaking Bad! SCIENCE B*TCH!!! I don't know how they are with chemicals though sadly. I use them to keep my fish from biting me & or transferring anything on my hands into their water. The fish don't bite me a lot, but once in a while 1 of the larger ones will like to take a nibble. It doesn't hurt, but its always starting to have your hand under water & feel a slight pinch. Anyways, if you're making meth like Walter White I dunno how these would do..........but if you have curious cichlids that like to nibble.......these are great! 5Got for washing dishes. I got these to use at work im a dishwasher and I use some pretty dangerous chemicals and they were drying out my hands so I started using these and their amazing i love how long they are and how they have a band at the end so water can't get in and I can submerge my whole arm into the sink. Their also heat resistant so you can use really hot water if you need to. works really well and really well made. 5Decent I am a fossil hunter and I bought these to use in the streams in the winter to protect my hands and arms from the freezing cold water. They worked well but after a year they are done for. But due to the price I am going to buy another pair to get me through this winter when they are needed.The elastic holds them up pretty well. One glove got a leak when it torn near the base of the thumb. Based on what I used these for, that tear could have come from a few different things and was likely not due to any flaw in the glove. However, I did notice the last few times I wore these that the left glove had a little water getting in somehow. I could not find any damage or anything though.Overall these were pretty good and the price is right. And like somebody else said, they do stink. 4Very easy to put on (given their length) Very easy to put on (given their length), no horrible rubber smells. Size Large fit perfectly (for size Large gloves). No more messy wet arms from the fish tank! The only odd thing is that while the length states 26 inches, it seems more like a 23-24 inch length when worn. It may be 26" if stretched but in actual use it seems shorter, but still more than long enough unless you're going armpit deep. The nitrile material seems to want to stick to itself when fresh out of the package but no problems with that since. I haven't noticed any interior stink yet either but I don't keep them on for very long at a time. 5Keep your hands dry Con- they make my hands sweat and despite turning them inside out to dry overnight, they start to stink if you don't wash them. I brought them home this weekend and tossed them in the washer inside out, let them air dry, and then flipped them right side out and dried off the rubber with a towel. They smell slightly better!Pros- they do go pretty far up the arm past my elbow and stay on.I have to work in the kitchen at school for 30-40min every day and have to stick my hands/arms in a large tub of sanitized water or nasty dirty greasy dish water depending on the job needed. They help save my hands and my sanity. They look silly, and all the kitchen gals laughed at me, but they get the job done. 4Super short glove fingers The size - large, fits the palms but the glove fingers are super short - by about 3/4 of an inch.If your middle finger is longer than 3 inches you'll feel like you have webbed fingers. 1Near perfect for washing dishes in the deli where I work I typically do the dishes every night at the Hannaford deli where I work, where the water is hot (very hot) and the soap and sanitizer irritate the skin. The gloves provided by the supermarket were way too short, so water easily gets in (the sink is three feet deep). So I decided to buy my own gloves. The first pair were OK at first, but not tough enough and soon holes started to appear. Also there was no elastic to hold them up. I researched more and found these Atlas gloves, which come up halfway between my elbow and my shoulder (I'm 5'8") with elastic bindings that hold them in place. They are tough and take the abuse, although after six to eight months it's good to replace them since they do gradually wear--but still no holes. And I did just that, ordering a second pair on Amazon. One note: you should let them air out (either on stands or turning them partly inside out--not all the way). This is not because they leak; they do not at all, but your own sweat builds up inside the gloves and can eventually cause a smell. Airing them eliminates this. 5Great for my fish tank Ever get annoyed at always having wet hands or arms when you need to adjust one little thing in your fish tank? Then these are the gloves for you!Fingers are textured so you can easily grip things.Glove extends up to my shoulder (I'm 5'8 with long arms)Only bummer is that the material at the glove is quite thick so you lose some dexterity.Use them every week and love them! 5Works as intended. Main use was poison ivy/pulling weeds/handling sharp vines I love these. They work good for messing with poison ivy, spraying chemicals, pulling weeds, getting under thorny bushes to remove vines and weeds and could be used for thousands of other things. The hand part has bumps for gripping tools and weeds. The entire glove covers all the way up to my armpit area and stays there. If it is a hot day your sweat will collect in the glove and it gets kind of gross and when you machine wash it make sure to hang it to where the water will drain from within the glove other wise the next time you put the gloves on it will be very damp if not a pool of nasty old water. 5
