    Has all features needed in a portable mouseThis mouse has everything needed for a traveling user: wireless, compact, chargeable while using and USB receiver stores in the mouse body. I am a pretty heavy user and am able to go about a week between charges, unlike another reviewer. 4Inconsistent battery lifeThe mouse works for PC/IBM, Sony, and Apple laptops. I use it primarily with the IBM laptop running XP. No software to install, just plug-in and use. When this mouse is plugged in, it does not turn off my normal laptop pointer nor track pad functions. If you go back to the mouse after using the pointer or track pad, the 'screen arrow' experiences a 1-2 sec delay after you start moving the mouse. The USB wireless connector goes into a pop-out slot underneath the mouse, which I think is convenient and well-designed. The product package includes a pouch and a cord with one USB end to plug into your computer to charge the 2 batteries (also included). As an earlier reviewer noted, you need to keep your laptop on to charge the mouse. I found it inconvenient to keep my laptop on for a few extra hours just to charge the mouse. The batteries run anywhere from 2 to 8 hrs (continuous use). There is no light or indicator when the mouse is fully charged or discharged, you just have to guess. I have not tried replacing the original rechargeable batteries, but these original ones showed this kind of battery life about 1-2 months after purchase. I wanted a small, portable, wireless, optical mouse that could be used on any of the laptops in our household. This fits the bill except for the inconsistent battery life. 3Four Starsok the shape was funny for some people to use. But work good 4Lasted me years!I love this mouse. I've had it for at LEAST 10 years, probably much longer, through many computers and laptops. The dongle is bent to crap and still works just fine. The batteries that came with didn't last long for a charge so for the longest time I've just used it as a plugin mouse. Today the original batteries finally kicked the bucket, thought the mouse was finally dead but put in some fresh batteries and it is as good as new. I have smaller hands so the size is not an issue for me, in fact it's much more comfortable to me than other mice I've used. I would definitely recommend this item even though it is quite dated at this point. 5it's a piece of crap - but it's super cheapYou get what you pay for. Yeah, it's a piece of crap - but it's super cheap. Range is like 5 ft, uncomfortable to use for more than 2 mins. It still gets 4 stars because it's a low-cost solution. 4Save your moneyI purchased the Targus "Stow and Go" mouse for my new Dell laptop. Out of the box it did not work. Battery wouldn't charge. Called tech support which was a waste of time. Got somebody that could hardly speak English. Returned the mouse and got a replacement. This mouse works but the storage for the USB connector is broken so you have to dig the thing out of the bottom of the mouse...piece of junk...wouldn't recommend this thing to anyone...spent a week mailing the junk back and forth and still am not happy 1Short Battery LifeIf I had known that the battery life on this mouse is about 8 hours, I wouldn't have bought it. The expected battery life is not shown on the packaging, User Manual, or anything else that comes with the product. It's not even on the Targus web site. I thought I had defective batteries, until I read another review. The mouse charges via a USB port, so the computer has to be on, and Targus recommends that you disable the power saving mode of your computer. The mouse is a convenient small size, has a clever stowable transmitter and comes with a nice pouch. Too bad the User Manual is about a centimeter too big to fit in the pouch. But, the mouse could be OK for someone who uses it with a notebook (which is its intended use), and who doesn't mind charging it up when they charge up their notebook [and leaving the notebook on so the USB port will provide the juice to charge the mouse]. 1
