    Disappointed in 'synthetic' taste of final filtered waterThe cartridges appear to be well constructed but fail miserably when it comes to providing a quality taste-free product. Although rated as having a 0.5 micron filtration media, and without the benefit of independent lab testing, the cartridges produced 'synthetic' tasting water. Having used both Everpure & Cuno replacement cartridges in commercial applications with Everpure powerheads and trying these cartridges based on cost alone, we cannot recommend these cartridges. American Filter was very responsive to our concerns and provided excellent customer service in a very timely manner. Of note: filter cartridge activation procedures WERE followed per the manufacturers activation instructions. We've transitioned back to Cuno replacement cartridges with no issues. 1Amazing Filter!These are THE BEST water filters we've ever used. We have a very old Ice machine (30+ yrs) and we use these filters on it. We've never had Ice have any "floaties" or strange chunks. The ice always comes out tasting amazing and when it melts it's perfectly CLEAR!!! Will continue to buy! 5
