    Great Device For Price, Worth it Over More Expensive Models This works like it is supposed to. I originally had a T-Mobile SIM card with it but it would not work. I switched to O2 Wireless from Best Buy and it works great. I use this to Velcro on the bottom of a remote controlled drone incase it were to go down out of range. The tracking is accurate to within a few meters. Two complaints. One, this this is a pin to figure out the codes. I still do not know what to text it to tell me where it is one time. I can call it for a one time location, or text it a message to send messages every so often (ex. every 30 seconds). Second, when it is low on battery, it will keep sending messages for battery low. I wish we could turn that off. This is also good to hide on a motorcycle...If you found this helpful please click that you did below. Thank you :) 4Worthless Chinese junk Does not work at all. As soon as you put the battery in, the green light comes on and that's it. Doesn't communicate, doesn't power off, doesn't do anything but light up that green light for about 5 hours until the battery is dead. 1WORKS GREAT! I have been using it for a week zero issues! Works as advertised so far. I got a back up battery and case it lasted about 4 days with the 10,000 mah back up.The battery it comes with is garbage or the unit just uses a lot of power either way it lasted about 8 hours being used what i consider normally.It works great considering the price and no monthly fee except the cell bill. 5but has its limitations if you don't have a pretty advanced smartphone with a good connection I bought this to track some equipment that I own and found the menu system to be a bit confusing while the website registration seems impossible to accomplish in English. Functionality of the unit is decent, but has its limitations if you don't have a pretty advanced smartphone with a good connection, for example to track the device through google maps. Another quirk is that there is no way that comes with it to tie it in on a 12v power source, so for example in a covert vehicle installation, it ought to be something you can alligator clip in to a tail light or intermittent 12v load which can keep the small on board battery topped off. Otherwise, the battery can go dead on this and its 110v charger unit is kind of ungainly, and requires 110v power. A nice touch for occasional use is that it comes with a spare back for magnet mounting, but the kit is incomplete without it coming with DC charging capability. 3Perfect for drones! Bought this for my DJI Phantom quad copter after my friend lost his in a flyaway. This is perfect for this application. You need to get a sim card and activate it. The sim was $10 and I got a $2 per day plan which is only billed on days u use it. If u need to locate it u simply call the phone number and it will txt u back lat/long and a link to google maps with the location. Well worth it for piece of mind. 5Arrived with bad wall supply. Worked sitting still but became intermittent and unreliable 08/09/2014Unfortunately, my optimism for this device has been dashed. On first attempt it worked and worked well sitting in my car. The next time I tried it with good cell signal and GPS the thing would not send or if it did would send prior coordinates with wrong times labels. It is likely that it was turning off and on as another poster said was happening to him. I think these have great potential but have a quality control problem. If you want to risk it you might get a good one. Too bad they aren't building these with quality in mind.******* 08/06/2014 *************************Arrived quickly as a PRIME item. Box came complete with two batteries, two backs (one with magnets and one without), a charger base for the extra battery and a plug in wall power supply with two ends, one for the GPS unit and one for the charger base.The 5V Wall power adapter did not work. The magnets on the one back are not very powerful so I would never rely on that to keep it installed onto the outside of a car or someting that is moving and jostling around. The case is of moderate to low quality and you cant see much of the LED light (that tells you its working) in the daylight. Almost like the PC board inside is just bit off from the holes for the charger and LED indicator. Looks like there's a miroSD slot but I don't know if you can really use it. The books says something about storing gps points and has 1 meg internal memory but the SD can be up to 16gig. Case is not waterproof at all.That said, the manual is easy enough to understand and getting a go phone SIM and adding 10 bucks to it was probably the most difficult part. Once I knew I had a good SIM I followed the instructions and had the unit up and running quickly. How long the battery lasts is anyones guess so far and I'll come back and add to this review when I find out. I dont know the best way to get a SIM for this that wont expire every month. I wont use this much right now so by the time I'm ready to use this my ATT go phone sim will be expired. it might be worthwhile to find a car adapter for this so you can permanently mount it in tool trailer or your kids car. hahaI'm asking the seller for a new power wall supply. I'll let you know how that goes as soon as I know.. 4Terrible Directions The directions were pathetic. I bought the sim card for it, but I had to try the directions from the sim card manufacture which only had directions for a phone. I could tell that the directions from the tracker manufacturer were poorly translated. I never got it to work. Don't know how delete the PIN. Responded a couple times when sending a text command but it usually took 15-20 minutes. 1Great, completely easy to set up Great, completely easy to set up, I recently brought a motorcycle, and Im still learning to ride it, so I need to leave at home while I'm at work. But with the motion alert set up on this tracker, if someone does move my bike, its going to send me alert. And I will be able to track it, if someone does take my bike, they will have no idea that Im tracking its location, Its the ultimate crime stopper. I lose it, I find it. It just took about two weeks to arrive in the mail, That was the only problem, but besides that still great. five stars 5Unreliable device, that may _or may not_ work. I bought this item for live tracking while paragliding, through a website feeded by GPRS. The received item could not be turned on nor off: always on. I thus asked the the vendor (aweekshop) about that. He always was very polite in his answers:He wrote back to me: "In fact, once the batteries plugged in, it will work and can't be turned off. That's how it works."Strange for a device with a On/off switch...Then, while the device worked fine sending SMS, there was noway to have the positions sent via GPRS. The GPRS, while correctly activated, was always stated as "GPRS off". In addition, the proposed website was not accessible, and I was provided with an alternative web address after inquiring. After many exchanges, it was clear the GPRS does not work on my unit, which is why I originally put a neutral (not negative) feedback, since positioning via sending SMS works fine.I was then VERY surprised to receive the following mail, that I let you appreciate. I did not respond:"Dear friend,Thanks for purchasing from our shop. We are so sorry to heat that the product can't work.Our technician can't solve the problem for you. Sorry about that.Now we're willing to give you a full refund and you don't need to return the product, then could you please be kind to remove the negative feedback? Your help will be greatly appreciated.Friendly communication can solve problem! Sincerely hope you can give us a chance to correct our error! Looking froward to your reply.
