Used this to mount my chartplotter on our boat to move it up and back toward the helm. I have the chartplotter mounted in front of the operator station so I can access it from either the console or the front pedestal seat. By using this mount I can swivel it any position I need. I bought the 1 " ball mount hoping that it would be sturdy enough when running, and it is. Definitely a good sturdy mount. 5Things great. Its a Ram Mount....enough said. I was worried about it rattling or shifting from waves and chop but it locks in place and stays there!I really love the design and how you can adjust it for just about any angle or direction. I mounted my Humminbird side image unit to it.
