    Magellan Traffic KitHaven't had a chance to use it yet. Came in what looks to be the original packaging. Looks brand new, I'm sure it is! I should be using it sometime within the next month or two. I will be activating it soon! 5It's right model for Maestro but...I bought this Traffic Kit for my Magellan Maestro 4050 GPS as my original Traffic Kit had been stolen in downtown San Francisco on last month. The Kit was right model for 4050 GPS, but the one I got from Amazon wasn't fit on my GPS. Even though I heard the click of the latch, the GPS wasn't stuck fast to the Kit firmly. As watching the GPS on local ways, I had headaches because the GPS was almost always a little bit moving around. Eventually, I returned it. 3Five Starsgreat 5Five Starsworks 5Wasted my moneyBought this because the speaker in my Magellan is shot, was told this one has speaker in it, but it does not.Wasted my money! 1don't bother with thisBought this for my Magellan GPS. I hate it. I still use it while I wait to buy a new one. With out this traffic kit the GPS unit send you on some stupid routes, some times they are just crazy. This kit just adds to it confusion in calculating the routes. I use it just to see the traffic details, they are not even accurate.If you use it to automatically route based on traffic details you will be taking stupid routes, maybe even go around in circles.There are better options. I would get lost less just using the maps in rental cars. 1Magellan Traffic KitThe Magellan Traffic Kit works fine, but the connection between my Magellan and the Traffic Kit is not as tight as the original one. It moves back and forth on the base and the locking mechanism does not attach to my Magellan. 3Great Vendor Great ProductAt half the price of Magellan's website. Brand new and it was here in a week. Fantastic. 5No Traffic Alerts in Atlanta!Although the Traffic Service is supposed to work in Atlanta, I have yet to see a single traffic alert. I would have given this one star except that it is a required optional accessory if you want to use an external antenna with the Maestro and for that it works as advertised. 3Doesn't WorkI was excited when I bought this add-on but I am very disappointed after using it. Simply, this product does not work, at least not without buying the external antenna. The GPS itself was expensive when I got it a few years ago but I wanted to get the most out of the GPS so ordered this live traffic add-on. I used the 3-month free trial (in New York area) that came with it and it never worked. Apparently, you must also buy the external antenna for this add-on to work and there is no way I am giving Magellan another red cent. If they had advertised this as needing the external antenna, I would not have gotten this piece of crap. When you add the initial cost of the GPS and then the cost of all the add-ons needed to make this get live traffic, it is not worth it. 1
