Lutron is great! Ordered 4 dimmers. One of them kept blowing the breaker whenever it was turned full bright. I called Lutron support and walked them through my installation, told them I wasn't an electrician and had no idea what I was doing... they said luckily I had done everything correctly, but it was still blowing the breaker for no good reason. They figured out that it was probably because my AFCI breaker was freaking out by having the load turned on and off 120 times per second (that's how these dimmers work), and figured out that by sending me a new switch that has a neutral wire, it would resolve it. They sent me a new switch for no charge. All is well. 5Finally no flicker, but there are tricks Tried three dimmers and two sets of LED bulbs and was still getting flickering... Until this dimmer. Two tricks to note though:- if you aren't getting a wide dining range, put one incandescent in there... It's like magic- be patient... We had flickering for the first couple days comes with attached with that you use screw, then it suddenly went awayOther than that, this switch is a little different than most, instead of the usual screw terminals or push holes, it uses wires with screw connectors. And there are no external screws on the switch plate so it has a really clean look! 5It has two places you need to adjust for the brightness Ordered two and one would not dim as low as the other ........but after reading the multi language instructions 2-3 times that are all mixed together I found that I had skipped over the part where it tells that you also have a second place to adjust how low it dims BEFORE you install the face plate......so after having that piece of information , I was able to adjust it to my liking and I would buy them again. 4Awesome switch, requires neutral wire! I now have several of these, they work extremely well. The app from Leviton Is very professional, it is laid out well and allows you to set schedules, dimmer levels, etc. integrates seamlessly with Alexa. One note of caution you have to use a neutral wire when hooking it up. If you are doing this as a single pole installation you will need three wires, a neutral wire and the two wires that go to the light. If you were doing this as a three-way switch and you will need for wires, one neutral wire, two hot/load wire and two travelers. A lot of times there will be no neutral wire available in a switch box so be sure and check before ordering this product. 5Bad design, very limited dimming. I purchased this dimmer to dim LED track lighting. It works, no flickering, etc. BUT, it has a toggle switch to set the dimming range that is located behind the wall cover plate. Then, you can adjust the dimming by using the vertical slide along the switch exterior. This is very limited dimming, and also only within the range set by the concealed toggle switch. For example, if you set the concealed switch to the brightest setting, I would estimate the dimming range is adjustable from about 70% to 90% of the brightness range of the light bulbs. If you want to set the light level lower, you would need to remove the wall cover plate, adjust the range downward, and replace the cover plate. Repeat again for higher dimming - pretty ridiculous. I searched for "full range dimmers" and found another product on Amazon, cost a couple dollars less, and works much better. The instructions indicate the dimming range to be 10% to 100%, which appears to be accurate - and with no internal dimming toggle. Better product:: Dimmer Switch for 150W Dimmable LED and Dimmable CFL,600W Halogen & Incandescent Bulbs, 120V AV 60Hz,Single-Pole,White DS01-SA1A 2Did not work I purchased this dimmer from Amazon, got an electrician in to install a light fixture and the dimmer but the dimmer did not work, I had to drive to a Lowes and buy a replacement so I wouldn't have to pay the electrician more hours. Sadly I work when UPS is open and I could not return the item on time, so I have a broken dimmer at the house. And to top it all off, the faulty dimmer did not come with the cover shown in the pictures, the dimmer I got from Lowes did. I can't give a positive review because it did not work and did not come complete. The reason I order from Amazon is that of my work hours, but this time, it did not work for me because I could not return the defective item on time that I could have done in a 24 hour Walmart or similar store. 1Fantastic switch for led lighting Finally. No flickering, no noise.. have a 6 bulb candelabra light. The switch the electrician installed was horrible. As dimming got low the bulbs would go out. Always had flickering issues or occasionally would not even come on n. The buzzing was also annoying. Basically junk. Put this in and it works flawlessly. Dims to a super low light. No noise. 5Well-priced, will most liklely make your light bulbs buzz I am upping the rating since I found an LED bulb that doesn't buzz. And this is a relatively cheap dimmer, so can't expect it to perform as well as a Low-Voltage one.Also, the recessed LED lights I'm using barely register a buzz - but of course they have a bigger/fancier transformer than the much smaller bulbs that screw in.However, it's still not a 5 star because if you really want all your lights not to buzz, you'll probably have to go with a much more expensive Low-Voltage dimmer.Original review:3 different kinds of LED lights in my house buzz with these dimmers. Incandescents too. 44 star is being generous, long lag time compared to other Lutron Update:after 5 months of this dimmer not really dimming in my bedroom (it was by far the brightest dimmer when on the lowest position of any Lutron in my house) I replaced it with a dimmer that that had been bought as a DVCL-153P-WH instead of this DVCL-153PH-WH being reviewed.Yes they share the same part number on the switch itself (see pic, the DVCL-153PH-WH is on the right),but the switch on the left (DVCL-153P-WH) is able to dim the lights to about 1/2 the brightness the DVCL-153PH-WH I bought from this page was capable of.So maybe they are the same as the company rep says below,then I guess this one was just a dud,but though the stickers on the sides of each dimmer has the same part number (DVCL-153P),the stickers themselves are slightly different,and they are acting completely different from each other when controlling the same lights in the same room.original review:Cliff notes,buy the DVCL-153P-WH instead.I had been buying DVCL-153P-WH's and switching to LED lamps in all the rooms, one or two at a time.Then I saw Lutron had the DVWCL-153PH-WH for about $5 cheaper than the DVCL-153P-WH,so I tried the cheaper Lutron.My non-scientific results:Lag time between snapping the switch on & getting light is 2-3 times longer with the less expensive version,shouldn't be a big deal,but after using it for a few months, every single day,it's noticable and not in a good way.More expensive Lutron seems almost instantaneous by comparison.Also, with the less expensive Lutron dimmed all the way down,light output is about the same as the more expensive dimmer at the 1/2 way point. (again, non-scientific testing here).This is subjective stuff,and will vary with the type, size and number of lamps being used,but in my house, I'll spend the extra $5 next time. 4Works well and easy to install I was hesitant to buy it because they didn't list "SooFoo E12 Candelabra Base 6W Dimmable COB LED Filament Globe Candle Light Bulb,2700K Warm White 600LM,60W Incandescent Replacement,4-Pack" on the bulb compatibility chart. This dimmer works fine with the bulbs (very happy with those bulbs too). Not quite the dimming ability that you get with incandescent, but pretty close, and considering we're now using 36 watts max instead of 360, I'm very pleased. 5
