    Your Strategy Guide: How to Win and Profit from Penny Auction Sites, Vol. 1This book covers the basics about what penny auctions are and the type of bidders that you may encounter, but it really didn't discuss different strategies for different situations very well. It talks more about the opponent's bidding pattern rather than when to use each strategy. And it never discusses the pattern to use when you actually get down to bidding. I understood all the points the author was trying to make. And it gets to the heart of every question I had. So many of these types of books have page after page of long winded answers that leave me forgetting what the questions were. There is no space filler here. Well at least not in the actual writing.2) Having the information at my finger tips has helped. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and it has made a difference for me. A few times now I have saved some money because I was able to recognize a bidding trend. Thanks to the book I now have lists on everything.I took a star off because I wanted more picture and more examples. But that's just me. 4More of an OutlineInterested in getting involved in Penny Auctions and not wanting to lose a bunch, I began looking for a book to educate myself on the topic. To my surprise, after a little bit of looking, this was the only book I found that could be purchased on a known site relating to Penny Auctions.The Good:This is one of the few books available for purchase through a reputable site (Amazon.com). If you know absolutely nothing about Penny Auctions, this book gets you started thinking about basic concepts before bidding at a price that isn't going to break the bank.The Bad:The book largely focuses on types of auctions, types of bidders you will face, and information you could possibly want to gather. The author introduces the above subjects and that's about all he does. As a reader, I was expecting the author to expand on the concepts he introduces and explain how he would go about using them while bidding and why. Additionally, the author does not provide any examples of himself using the tactics and techniques he introduces.The Ugly:The book is 116-pages of double spaced text. The author appears to have used spell checker, but certainly not correct grammar. The entire book could be written on much less than 116-pages if normal spacing was used. Additionally, there are two or three random pictures used that don't really contribute anything to the book.Conclusion:The book has the feel of being rushed out to fill a hole in the market, and overall the content is disappointing. There are limited amounts of useful information to get you in the right mind frame to begin bidding. 2
