    Not just for thesis' :-)My use of this wonderful paper is not typical. I am a bead embroiderer and use this paper as a stabilizer for my work. I selected this paper because it is lighter in weight than most other acid-free paper and is therefore much easier to perforate with my beading needle (which is much kinder to the pads of my finger tips), and the lighter paper 'handles' well too. There is a visible watermark which is inconsequential for my needs as the paper functions as a backing to my fabric. The 100% cotton paper also enhances the longevity of my completed work. I am VERY happy with my purchase. 5A professional printer said its one of the best and will last for 100 years or more.I don't know why the negative reviews. This is the second printing of my Dissertation. The first was on decent paper. I received Magna Cum Laude, so I wanted a paper that would last. I'm having a leather hardback binding of my Dissertation made and the bookbinding company told me I picked one of the best papers. They said this paper will last for a 100 years at least, if not much longer. The texture, color, and quality is much better than I expected. I definitely recommend it for your Thesis or Dissertation if you want it laser printed find a professional printing company. 5Box was rippedI bought this paper for my undergraduate thesis and was disappointed to have it arrive and the box be all torn up. One side is flapping off completely. It was packaged great so damage had to be pre-shipment. Not happy at all. 2Would not recommendMost of the papers had small black or grey dots of discoloration on them. Additionally, many of the page corners and edges were bent. This is the second time I have ordered this, and the quality was the same in both packages. I had to look through every single page before placing them in the printer so that my thesis was only printed on unmarred, unbent sheets. Very disappointing. 2DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I had same issue ...DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I had same issue a few other people had in their reviews. It arrived in manufacturer box (inside Amazon box), but manufacturer box was opened, it didn't have those sticky seals that high-quality boxed print paper have, and it was stuffed with more paper than the box can accommodate. Every sheet was bent in one corner and a few had torn corners. Obviously this was some sort of re-sale of a previously returned item, or else factory seconds being bought and sold on-line. Go down to your nearest Staples and buy the same product. It's a bit higher in cost (not much) but no problems with damaged sheets. 1Incorrect sheet countThe posting clearly says 250 sheets, so I ordered 2 since my dissertation is close to 400 pages long. What I received were 100 sheet boxes, so I only have 200 pages in total. Now I have to order more! 1Be careful if you need to print images in your thesis...This paper is wonderful. Print and images look good, and the paper has a nice feel to it. One potential problem that you absolutely must be aware of is that the position of the watermarks is different from page to page. If you are printing color images in your document, you will need to go through every page and check if the image was printed on top of a watermark. If so, you will likely need to reprint that page. The watermarks are interfering with the quality of printed images and is particularly noticeable in regions of solid color. 4Perfect paper for dissertation! No printing problems.Great paper for my dissertation! I was pleased with the quick delivery since I was working on a deadline. It printed perfectly on my lazer printer--no problems at all. 5DamagedBoxes were damaged and I wanted more than half. Had to order more to be able to print my dissertation properly. 1Highly unimpressed paper snob.I'll admit it. I'm absolutely 100% a paper snob. I used to work in a stationary and art supply store, and I've gotten completely directed to cranes 100% cotton papers. I write letters very frequently with fountain pen and custom inks, and I like the way other papers take the ink far far better than this paper. I'm not a huge fan of Southworth but it seems to be the only thing on the market anymore. Honestly it's kind of like comparing gumballs to truffles.I guess gumballs are fun, but truffles cost more for a reason.This paper is truffle cost for gumball quality.I guess I'm spoiled, but this is definitely not what I would ever use for a thesis. Cranes used to make an outstanding thesis paper which was smooth and watermarked and it takes pen and ink from fountain pens like you would not believe! This stuff sure ain't that! The texture of the surface is far rougher than even an average quality copy paper. When using a fountain pen on the top corner to write and actually smacks the nab and folds the corner over. I have not used this in a printer. It would probably work fine. I'll probably use it to print a manuscript because it is archival an acid free, But I would not consider this good enough quality paper for just about anything. It beats the heck out of a five dollar ream of copy paper, sure. But it's almost 30 bucks for half as much paper. I could buy 100% cotton cranes crest for 60 bucks and get 500 sheets. It's what I should've done. 1
