    what a cahngeI bought this to go into my iMac. i had 8GB installed from the factory. My wife likes to use Google chrome with about 20 tabs open and then lock the computer when she walks away instead of closing chrome and logging off. So when I log on it is noticably slower than when she remembers to log off. This is no more. With the move from 8 to 16GB of ram my iMac is snappy and happy all the time now. I figured this would help out but I did not expect it to be this noticable. Do yourself a favor and buy this product. Installation is simple and fast and the difference is dramatic and instant. 5This was easy to addThis review is for the OWC 2 x 8gbI got this for a 2015 late iMac that only had 8gb.This was easy to add, and I kept the original memory installed.No issues of compatibility at all.Works perfectly with the standard memory that came with the iMac from Apple. 5Pairs FlawlesslySo I added the two 8Gb sticks to my Late 2015 iMac Retina for a total of 24Gb. Easy install and the system is using without issues. Added a definite speed boost for multitasking. Two best things to do with a iMac is either install an SSD or properly configure your fusion drive to have the Flash and Hdd sections function as a true drive. Second, add this memory. Mac uses memory differently than a Windows computer and having an extra supply at all times helps prevent system slow down. Here's my two cents... 5Updated.... OWC replaced the original purchased memory and it has resolved the issues I was having.Works but not the difference I was expecting based on other reviews, I'm not noticing any considerable gains having added this to the 8GB I already had installed on my iMac.It seems to work.*****Update******My iMac started freezing and rebooting, Apple replaced the logic board but the issue persisted.Removed the Memory as Apple believes the modules are bad and the crashes have stopped, have reached out to OWC through Amazon to see if I can get a replacement.Will update when I hear more. 4Great memory modules for ImacI had 2 original 8GB in my iMac and added 2 of these. Randomly my iMac would restart by itself or freeze in the middle of something and I was forced to restart. Consulted with a tech at the genius bar at the Apple store and he recommended I put all 4 modules from the same manufacturer. I installed all 4 modules from OWC and problem solved! My late 2015 27 inch iMac is super fast and no problems, freezes or random restarts anymore. Installation was very easy. Very glad I got them. 5Cost-effective performance upgradeI installed the 2 x 8 GB cards into slots 3 and 4 after moving one 4 GB card into slot from slot 3 to slot 2 on my late 2015 27 inch iMac. Thus far, I have had no problems and the OS recognizes all 24 GB (2 x 4 GB original + 2 x 8 GB OWC cards) and boots with no problems. I'm not sure if the ordering of the memory cards is important (and neither was the Apple expert I contacted over the phone help line), but my configuration worked for my system so there was no reason to experiment with other arrangements. The computer loads programs and web pages faster and I no longer get the error messages that I am low on memory. Bottom line: Without doing a rigorous quantitative performance analysis, this upgrade with OWC memory cards worked for me as expected and was a very cost-effective upgrade. 5Wish I Would've Bought SoonerArrived quickly, works great. Honestly, wish I'd upgraded my RAM a long time ago, what a difference. For example, wireless keyboard no longer lags while video editing; apparently deficient RAM hung up keyboard so I'm happy to get this resolved, though incidental. Video editing runs smoothly, doesn't hang while working quickly and breaking work flow.Installed in my late-2015 iMac MK482LL/A. Upgraded 8 GB to 24 GB. If you're doing video editing 24 GB is nice to have. 8 GB works good, but if you work quickly after a while it'll lag a bit. 5DisappointingClean my Mac software came up with a message that I was running out of physical and virtual memory because I had so many tabs open. So I decided to buy 32gb of RAM as my Mac only had 8. When I was looking, the ad said more RAM would speed up the opening process on my Mac. It hasn't. The only difference now is, I don;t get the message anymore when I have a lot of tabs open. When I open new tabs, the pages loaded quicker when I first put the new RAM in, but now they don't. I'm not seeing the difference I was expecting. 4Not compatible with my late 2015 iMac 5KAt first I though everything was ok, but my computer started freezing about 5 min after it booted up, no matter if I was on my mac partition or windows partitions. Read a few threads and found out others had the same issues and had to return them. I don't think the ram is bad, because I used these brand for a 2008 mbp way back. Just have to get another brand next time. 3Easy Installation. Affordable. Fit PerfectlyI ordered the RAM and had it within 2 days. I installed the RAM myself and it took less than 4 minutes. I installed the RAM differently than most people I've seen on the amazon reviews. I switched out the factory RAM with the new RAM and placed the old Factory RAM into the other slots. Had no problems. Booted up the computer and verified the RAM registered. Great Deal! 5
