Customer Reviews

Fits itx (easily) and mATX (barely). Best with standard size PSU (not SFF).**PROS:** nice to looks at, tempered glass; fits standard size PSU and mATX mobo; includes hardware for many different configurations.**CONS:** seems too big for an itx, but a little bit small for mATX. No mounting hardware for SFF PSU is included. This will fit a micro ATX (mATX) mobo, but with some overhang, depending on how you mount the board. It fits an itx as well, but an itx mobo will look tiny inside this case... not a bad thing, though, as you'll have tons of space for other stuff. It's easy to mount to the wall if you buy an extra fralt-screen-tv wall mounting bracket like this one: Timaik MM03-44T TV Wall Mount Bracket for 32-55 Inch LED, LCD and Plasma TVs up to VESA 400 x 400mm and 77 LBS Loading Capacity, With 14 Degrees of Smooth Tilt, Includes Bubble Level. The tempered glass is a nice bonus. The larger P3 model comes with plexiglass, but this one (the P1) comes with actual glass. I completely disagree with the youtuber who claims the hole labels (A, B, C) are useless because they're not explained in the manual. I think the hole labels will be self-explanatory to any human of average intelligence. Also, I bought an extra small (SFF) PSU for this case only to find that the PSU was TOO small! You have to do some McGuivering if you want to mount a SFF PSU in this case. A standard size PSU, on the other hand, mounts easily with the included hardware.5This is the backbone to my "Big Bertha" buildI wanted a unique looking case for my build I intended on going all out on. Since doing a custom cooling loop was on my list of wants I needed a case that would display it. This one provided that unique factor of having a rather different shape to from your standard case and as I like to describe it, Function meets Fashion. Not only is having the glass panels standing off on 4 posts unique looking it's also nice for venting the hardware rather than keeping it all boxed up with some fans blowing on it.My only real issue with it was that when it came to mounting my Thermaltake 300ml Pump + Res combo is that I couldn't use some of the mounting hardware because it was compatible with their own case? So I was forced to use the case bracket to mount my pump/res by it's "feet" which is fine, it works. I just think it looks tacky having this mounting bracket sticking out from the side but it's something I'll just have to modify whenever I get bored and decide to redo my loop configuration.Conclusion. Sexy case and always catches folks attention when they see it (I have it sitting behind me in my stream thanks to 20'+ cables running back to all my other stuff). I wanted to make this PC which I've dubbed "Big Bertha" (she weighs a lot w/ everything installed) not only a beast in terms of performance but also something that looks uniquely beautiful (to each their own) and this case allowed me to capture that. The only thing I didn't catch was that this comes with one of Thermaltakes PCIe Riser Card Cables and I had already bought the exact one separate but o well. Guess that just means I'll have to run SLI in the future if GPU's ever come back down to earth.*Update 5/8/2019*So I decided to make a few changes to my loop, swap in RGB fans, liquid cool my GPU and gave the case a little bit of a makeover (painted it white and cut down the pump/res bracket so it doesn't stick out so far).I will admit trying to attempt any "cable management" can be a bit of a struggle in the tight space in back (especially if you add say....8 RGB/PWM fans and a RGB Sync Controller) then again there's more room in there than your average case provides. My Build:Core i7-8700KASUS ROG Maximus X FormulaMSI Gaming Radeon RX Vega 56CORSAIR DOMINATOR Platinum Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHzEVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D THX PCIE Sound Card SB1350Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum RGB Tunable Gaming MouseThermaltake Core P90Cooling Parts Vary: Thermaltake Res+Pump combo, XSPC Raystorm Neo CPU block, EK Fittings, AlphaCool 480mm Radiator, Thermaltake Fans, Thermaltake PETG 16mm tubing5Unique, functional & great build quality - Happy Customer :)Been building PCs for many years, been awhile since I built in a case that truly felt unique without just being gimicky. The quality is top and despite looking difficult to work with, it's actually easier than many traditional cases. Thermaltake really did well with this case.Build Specs:Thermaltake P3 T6Asus Maximus IX Formula (Front panel 3.0 header doesn't fit next to my x62 rad. I don't blame the case for this, due to unusual position on the board)7700KNZXT X62Asus 1080TI Strix (The GPU length maximum is only required in the (traditional) horizontal configuration. Placing it vertical with the included riser causes no issue with my 11.73" card and push 240mm rad)4x SSD (double side tape two of them together in the bottom slot below rad, two in the designated bays)Total build weight for wall mount: 41lbs.5Custom Water Loop FriendlyNext to my 50 inch tv this chassis is about 1 tv and a half wide. Solid chassis, I own a Core P3 and a Core P5 setting this up was a breeze. This thing weighs alot with the glass, requires 2 person to move when completely setup with all the water and hardware.Remove the VESA mount plate to make it lighter if you dont plan to wall mount it.Remove the filter if you are exhausting air out the back.Plan to buy yourself a new PCIE x16 3.0 riser as they are a one time use. Handling it too much causes the ribbon to break. I use an empty toiler roll to make my bends wide, the riser stoped working after I mover the riser into a different slot. I moved it with enough care as disarming a bomb, still broke. Again I own a P3 and P5 so Ive gone through plenty of these risers from all sellers on Amazon. Have not tried the super expensive riser Thermaltake just came out, the one where it was demostrated that it can be twisted around.Good quality/craftsmanship. Out of the box I it is a good baseline for case modding. One could actually daisy chain these together!5This chassis is wonderful to work withThis chassis is wonderful to work with. Some reviews mentioned hard drive placement. I would say that if your going to use more then an M.2, look toward the larger p3 or p5. The internal space does have room for two hard drives inside, but this is precious space when it comes to cable routing. I removed both cages because I was using an M.2 and didn't need the storage. So I had tons of room in the case for cable management. And cable management is a mixed bag. Not a negative. Just make sure you plan a lot! Pre-run every cable. Unlike most cases, there isn't a ton of holes to pass cable through, so you have to really think about where things should go. Take your time, and it will be fine. Keep your peripherals to a minimum, and you should be good.I mounted a Kraken x52 on the right side mounting plate. According to previous reviews and information, the space here is limited so I grabbed the x52 instead of the x62. Trying to squeeze the radiator into the recess would have been tight, but I elected to mount the stock fans to the rear plate, pushing the rad out beyond the recess, then mounted some TT HD120's on the front, for a push pull (exhausting back as there is nice grill opening for just such a setup). It makes it nicer, and eliminates the issues others were having with mounting the rad. My thoughts on that are; you're buying an open air platform, put shiny fans on, and use the stock ones for the heavy lifting. The only word of caution I would have is Power supply cables. If you are thinking about some aftermarket parts, I would say go for it. They tend to be more flexible, and that flexibility will come in handy when trying to route your ATX power connector behind the board. If you are using stock connectors, then I would highly advise pre-flexing the cable either way.Last and most important. Take your time! It pays off in the end.5Interesting case!So I decided on this case, was kinda of tired of worrying about postive/negative fan pressure, I just wanted something I could "display" with as well. My previous case was a Corsair Vengeance C70 which is coincidentally nearly the same dimensions. This is well built and nothing feels cheap about it. The metal rods that hold the glass have some serious weight to them. The case provides tons of flexibility for your components. Hiding wires was an absolute breeze as well. The included hardware such as screws and mother board risers werent great. The risers that came with it threaded into the case just fine but I could not get any of the included board screws to thread into the risers. The pitch seemed different but I cannot confirm that. I ended up using some hardware I had laying around for motherboard support. There is a bracket that holds the power supply and it did not seem to fit my thermaltake Smart RBG 850w but I was able to simply flip the bracket and make most of it work. So instead of the bracket fitting around the PSU the PSU just gets bolted to the bracket. Support wise its 100% fine I just could not tell if it was a design intention or flaw. It worked out fine though. This is a build in progress and I dont have any fear that components I get later will have any issues. I almost wish I had gotten the corner version of this (p90?).4Nicest case I've ever ownedPros:- fantastic cable management area- plenty of space to work around- solid vertical gpu mount- room/hardware for open loop cooling- can mount a 240mm radiator- looks PHENOMENAL with Good components- very sturdy and well builtCons:- comes with thermaltake's cheap pci extension cable- only has 1 2.5" ssd and 3.5" hard drive mount, unless you don't use the radiator- metal bracket inside the case is completely pointless- the motherboard spacer screws are really jenky and don't leave much room behind the mobo for cable routing- the case is very large and heavy for a mini itx build- the radiator mount width is only 122.5mm wide, so you can't mount a 280mm radiator and certain radiators, like the nzxt kraken x52 and corsair h100I v2, will not fit- it doesn't come with wall mounting hardware- the assembly instructions are absolutely horrendous; it boggles me that a company would make such a great case and hand out instructions seemingly written by a 5 year oldAll in all, if you want a great looking mini case then this is the best you'll get, but if you want a mini mini case then get something like the corsair v1.5Sturdy, attractive case. Heavy, and poor instruction manualThis case is pretty unique, so you'd think that the instructions would be really good, and they are some of the worst instructions ever. They really don't do a good job of telling you what to do step-by-step, some of the instructions are in really small print. The best part of the instructions was a single picture showing how all the pieces fit together, but it doesn't tell you which screws or specific pieces -- and it's about as useful as just looking at a picture of a completed case and guessing where everything goes. So it's basically useless. It's also very heavy, making moving around the computer very tedious. On the other hand, it looks nice, has a simple glass look, and is very sturdy. Most of the people buying this are just buying for the looks, but the instructions are very poor, and it is very heavy. I think this case is not meant for beginners.4The coolest case aroundSuper gorgeous case. Perfect for ITX builds.I love this case. It's very well designed, extremely sturdy. It takes a lot to assemble - about 1+ hours depending on your ability figure out how to assemble the case.I actually enjoyed building the case (it made me feel like I had accomplished something). But, there was lots of putting a piece on the case, then removing it so I could put a different piece on the case. You get about 50 screws, so, you don't have to worry about not having enough (which is nice). Because it's open, putting pieces on the motherboard are so nice. There's tons of room to work with.I did bunch of research before buying this case. Here's some things I'd recommend + 6 pin male to female extenders + 12 pin male to female extension cable + modular power supply + water coolerI went with a CoolMaster AIO (All In One) cooler. That way hot air isn't blowing onto the plexiglass. It's also got LEDs in the fan, so, it looks super cool. The extension cables make it easier to hide the cables behind the case, with plenty of space to work with up-front.A modular PSU just makes it the back less cluttered. I didn't have one, so, I'm not able to put the back of my case on - there's just too many cables which are too bulky to close case. I will eventually get a modular PSU.Here's my full build. I've done mostly 3D animation with it, but I've played the new BattleTech game and it performs very well + AMD 1300X Ryzen 3 + G.Skill Trident RGB DDR4-2400 RAM + CoolerMaster AIO (All in one) liquid cooler + ASRock Fatility AB350 Mini ITX motherboard + XFX 560 4GB GDDR5 + 24 pin motherboard power supply extension cable (4") + 6 pin male to female extension cable (10") + 750 Watt Corsair power supply4Yes, you can fit an ATX motherboard in a mini itx...After extensive design thoughts and deliberation I purchased the mini itx Core p1 case for a new project. With some modifications, I readily managed to install a full ATX mobo along with a 12" video card, Noctua 14 cpu cooler and a power supply. Things are a little tight, but still looks pretty cool. The most modification came from having to drill all new holes for the mobo, video riser and power supply. A little nerve wracking considering the $$ just spent and once drilled it avoided any chance of a return if a case warranted it. But slow and steady got the job done. The video riser had to be positioned as to having the card in a 'laying on its; back' position while suspended in the air. I had to make a little support for it. I also had to purchase a 'really' long pcie cable. My hd is nvme, so no mounting issues there. My temps are similar to when all was mounted in a desktop case.In the end I am happy with this purchase. I wall mounted it and it makes for some interesting conversation.5
