    Great Binoculars for Travel My husband and I bought these binoculars for our cruise to Glacier Bay Alaska. They traveled very well, were light weight and worked great!! Our friends wound up borrowing them on a couple occasions. 5Not so good I saw another reviewer that had the same problem as me. I got these as a Christmas gift from my wife, for an upcoming trip to Hawaii. Gave them the once over and they seemed well made, et al. Got to Hawaii and tried to use them. Just as another review said, they are mis-aligned. Could not get them to look at the same place. Very disappointed. I'll try to return them, but it's been almost two months, and I don't know if I have original packaging. Will rely on Amazon customer service and good will, which has always been great. I'll now, have to look for something else, as these are useless. 1Inspector FAIL one side was not tight, so it keeps making the distance between the eyes impossible to lock. They would be awesome if both sides were tight. Just a simple attention to detail the inspection of the product was not taken care of. I just found these today as we are packing for a short trip to a scenic area. These will end up in the trash instead of being used. Huge Bummer. Since they are waterproof, there is no way I can find to open them to tighen the loose side. Such a bummer. 1Hazy, murky, dark & unclear. The optics were so bad that I returned them. Looked through these at a fir tree in my field. Could not make it come clear: the image was hazy, dark and murky with a sort of halo. I actually compared these with a pair of 10x26 Bushnells I already have. The Bushnells made every needle pop out. These, I could barely see the twigs through the cloudy lenses. Not good at all. 1good starter set I got these for my 4 year old because I didn't want to buy a toy set that would barely magnify and be out of focus all the time I was drawn to these because of the extra rubberized casing that I thought would protect them better. I am pleased with the quality. To be honest I don't know that much about binoculars but these magnify nicely are easy to adjust. My daughter has been able to spy on some of the woodland creatures in our yard and I expect we'll get more use out of them when the weather is nicer. 5Two lenses focus on two different points. Useless! - These are Horrible! The two lenses don't focus on the same point. The right barrel is looking several degrees off to the right.- It appear that others are having similar issues with these binoculars.- I would advice NOT purchasing these until the quality control issue is addressed.Some Good:- Nice fit in the hands and lightweight- Rubber grip was nice and seemed 'rough enough' to work well in wet conditions- I like the color as these would be easy to find when outdoors (hiking, camping, boating, etc.) as they would stand out from the surroundings.- The field of view is kind of narrow, meaning you need to look right down the barrel to see anything. If you are off a bit you will just see black. (though with this quality control issue, you will see double of everything as they don't focus) 1good for the price I actually bought these for my 4 year old grandson. He has watched my husband use his expensive binoculars and always wanted to use them. I wanted to buy him some that he wouldn't outgrow and that weren't just a toy. These are great and are even borrowed by his father who usually forgets his. 4These are fantastic! I bought these binoculars for my 8 year old son about 6 months ago. They have proven their durability and quality. They keep water out so I don't have to be worried about them getting ruined, and they are a nice size so they fit right in my camera bag. I would reccomend this item highly to anyone who wants a basic binocular for their kids or even for themselves to take with them on a boat or hiking on gorge trails etc. 5Good quality, sporty bumble bee look I wanted 10x not Black, these were a good fit, but the eyecups never made for comfortable viewing. I think its just me, sensitive eyelashes, focusing the right diopter was pretty easy, and the focus wheel is just the right tightness and size. Pretty heavy compared to the Bushnell 10x. 4Good heft - meaning man lenses but not heavy Good heft - meaning man lenses but not heavy. Great size for small backpack when on the trail. I have more powerful binoculars but they are expensive. Wanted these for out of country travel. If they get damaged, stolen or lost the cost is low to replace. Power is great. Tried them on a short trip to Pipestem State Park in WV. Sat on a bench and used them to see across the canyon. Setting the diopter made a big difference. Can use them with eyeglasses with fit over sunglasses but the field of view is small. I like using them without my glasses which gives a great/somewhat large field. The power is great - saw the WV Turnpike across that canyon and a cluster of cell phone towers not visible without the binocular. Not just for kids/teens - great for any adult who wants a less expensive but GOOD, portable pair of binoculars. 5
