    It is what it isI purchased this about a year ago and thought I should write a review. I live in a haunted neighbourhood and thought it would be a great thing to use to maybe help figure out what is going on here. Not a good idea. It worked as described but ramped up the activity in my house the first time I used it. I got alot of direct answers in sentences to my questions. Thinking it might be a coincidence I used it a second time a week later, the activity intensified further and it took cleansing daily for two weeks to get my home back to its baseline. I realize there are alot of sceptics out there which is a good thing. I don't know how well it works at other locations because quite frankly I don't want to risk having something else following me home to add to my misery. I have also used the radio when we've had power outages just as a radio (not in scan mode). It works great for that too. 5Spirit boxFirst time using a spirit box. Picks up too many radio stations without the antenna up. Recommend scanning at 200ms backwards. 4Would ve paid anything for the conversation I hadI rarely write reviews, but felt I needed to for this product.I took this to my daughters house to use for the first time. It was built in the 1800 s and I ve had an interesting EVP session there in the past. Figured I would end up talking to a farmer or his family, but this quickly proved to not be the case. After asking about when they lived there, if they had children, occupation and other basic questions I had heard nothing that I would have made me believe that something was communicating. Then I asked do you know me? And it was on. I lost my 61 year old mother to an aneurysm 19 months ago. We were an extremely close family and we are all having a difficult time moving on without her. She answered almost every question immediately and clearly for about 45 minutes and we were the ones who chose to end the session. It was shocking, exhilarating, frightening, intense and comforting and rolled into one. Who knows, maybe this will help me heal We will definitely be using this again! 5Unreal!I purchased this because I was intrigued. The science behind it is pure theory, albeit plausible theory. On the first night, we achieved intelligent responses. My husband's full name was called out. We took it in the car and I said, "We are off to Taco Bell!" and the box immediately replied, "Meal". As we drove back home, it said "back home" as we pulled into the driveway.We could argue that it is all coincidence, but then in fairness you have to weigh the odds. How many "coincidences" can one have in one night? And what are the odds of an exact reply coming to you as often as it seems to?Interesting and I will continue to research with it. Keep in mind- pray before you use it, and make sure you tell the visitors to "go back" when done. This is not a toy! 4UPDATE!!I bought this device bc I am obsessed with ghost adventures and to speak to my dad who committed suicide 8 years ago. I was hoping to have a full on conversation with him, or anyone for that matter. I have caught some crazy voices that were very clear, but made zero sense. You need to _ see guy again , Guyyyyyy , Casssssiiiieeeee , those were from a grave yard, then I took it to the house I grew up in, and went in the room my dad took his life in... NODDA. A few maybes, but nothing concrete that gave me hope that my dad is ok. The white noise is so loud when you do catch a voice it s impossible to make out what the heck they are trying to say. Very disappointed.UPDATE:This device works. Record every session bc upon playback you are going to hear A LOT of voices you couldn t hear in real time. Warning: this is the same as using a ouija board, so if you were ever told not to play with a ouija board then you don t want to mess with this device, it is NOT A TOY. I m not sure if I will use this device again. If you suffer from depression or any kind of mental illnesses, I would advise you to leave this alone and watch an episode of Ghost Adventures. I wish I had taken it a bit more seriously. After visiting the room my dad took his life in and performing a spirit box session, I didn t think I captured anything bc I couldn t hear it in real time... I captured more than I thought, but it wasn t my dad. I m still disturbed by the only word that could possibly have been from him: Help! Now I gotta figure out what to do with that response to the question: are you ok, Dad? 5Waste of money. Buy QUALITY no matter how expensive it is.First thing not mentioned anywhere or at least anywhere visible: it is a MINI RADIO. It took me by surprise when I saw the amazon box...then the box for the radio and the radio itself. It just kept getting smaller and smaller. Now that can be over looked, after all smaller is easier to carry and store in your pocket. What I cannot ignore is how I overpaid for a cheap radio that arrived as a defective product. It will not turn on, the buttons seem to be jammed and the antenna doesn't pull out. I can't even use the product. It honestly looks like a TOY that I would buy at the dollar tree. Also you CANNOT RETURN the product. Somehow amazon allows it to be sent but not returned. Probably because it's a scam. Whatever you do don't buy this crap. I recommend buying top of the line quality stuff. Something trustworthy and not budget friendly rip off crap. Think of it like this, you can waste your money on crap you'll have to buy again and again, or straight up lose all your money on nothing, or you can save up and invest in something you know will last and provide your monies worth. 1Who you gonna call?Am an avid Paranormal Investigator and wanted some new equipment to use, Saw this on an episode of Ghost Adventures and decided to give it a go. Still use it today though there has been some updates recently this is still a really good go to piece of equipment. 5Worth ItHad a little trouble getting it to turn on when I first put the batteries in, but otherwise seems to work great so far. Haven't heard much ITC-wise yet, but it can take time no matter the equipment. Happy with this purchase and it was great to get a certificate of sorts with it that it had been tested before receiving it. 4Works to well...So I bought this for a ghost hunting friend of mine who has ceased using it for the moment because he said it worked to well and he now has spirits in his house he did not have before. What creeps me out is that he said that one of the spirits requested that he have me come over to his place so it could talk with me; I think not. 5It's good for the money its worth.I love it everything came with it. And they packaged it really good. Even came with batteries. 5
