Do not buy this mount So I was looking for a mount that I could drill into 3 studs and this was one of the only ones I could find that would do that. Once I took it out of the box you realize the first mistake... the metal is super thin. You could probably bend it in your hands if you tried hard enough. Once we started the process of mounting to the wall the mount bent after the first screw fully went in. We put the tv up on the mount which was extremely difficult because of the position of the brackets and how it mounts to the actual mount. From there problem number 2 the tv was to heavy and bent the mount again. My tv is not even half the weight of the rated weight. I wouldn t trust this mount for any tv let alone my 82 inch q70. I decided on Sanus and the mount is leaps and bounds ahead of this. 1Wow the price is amazing!! We bought one from a big box ... Wow the price is amazing!! We bought one from a big box retailer 4 years ago for 5x this price and it was of similar quality. Either this is a screaming deal or these have just come way down in price and I am just now getting the memo. I used the mount to put up a TV above my bath tub, but also position to be seen from the toilet, sinks, and my glass shower surround. I can literally see this TV while showering, s***ting, brushing my teeth, taking a bath, dressing, hell if I swivel it towards the window my peeping tom neighbor can watch too. 5Does The Job If You Can Find Screws That Fit and Fix A Bent Mount I had high hopes for this mount because I was looking for something low profile. After reading many reviews I decided on this one. It's does what it claims if you can find screws with the right length (see below). However, for the price of this mount, I definitely expected better. I've certainly bought mounts that are cheaper and seems to be better made.Pros:* Love the built in level on the mount* The locking latch is pretty easy to work with unlike the screws that some of the other mounts use to lock the TV in place* it is super low profile. The back of my TV is about 1.5" away from the wall which is exactly what I was looking forCons:* It comes with fours sizes of screws. 2 sets of thinner screws and 2 sets of thicker screws. Each with a long version for spacers and short version for without. Uhm.. the lengths of screws just don't fit. Short screws are too short without the spacers to screw into the back of the TV. The long screws are too short with spacers. The long screws are too long without spacers. I have a Samsung 2017 6300 55" TV. Luckily I had leftover screws from another mount that finally fit. Phew!* Quality and durability is suspect as the mount was bent out of the box which I had to pound out with a hammer to straighten (see picture) 2This purchase was a home run! I'm pretty pleased with this product. I couldn't beat the price or the lightning fast "standard" shipping. The instructions were clear and as someone with zero experience mounting televisions on the wall, I had no trouble. The one concern I have is that the tv seems to drift to the right and the left side cocks upward. The mount is level but I can't seem to stop it. I fear that may be an installer or user error.....or it's the wall!! The mount seems well made and after having it on the wall, my concern for having my beautiful tv hanging out there like a garden flag was alleviated. My 220 lb friend hung on it! The only improvement possible, that I can see, is if they gave it to me! Okay maybe one.....ugly wires!! 5good to span 3 studs for large tvs I bought this to mount a 70in vizio tv. It worked for what i wanted to do. i recommend but not without caveats.the major advantage is that the mount comes as one solid piece. does not need assembly like some othersi bought this because it can span 3 studs 16 inch apart. which it did. but there are no holes in the center to screw it to all 3 studs. i screwed it to the 2 far studs. would have been nice to attach to the middle. the product was not as pictured. it has a hole in the middle in the picture. in the end, i did not bother about the middle stud because 2 stud is plenty for hanging a tv.I had to buy m8 bolts of the right length because the included bolts and spacers would not do.The lag screws were fine. I dont see how someone could break those. 3Quality construction, horizontal length helps to center a TV I needed to mount my TV in a place where there is a wall stud pretty much dead center of where I need the TV. If I were to mount my TV on a swinging arm with one fixed installation point this might work, but I don't like the idea of a hinge mount for a big TV. The length of this mount allows me to offset the centering of the wall mount between two wall studs that are 24" apart, and to align the TV where I need it to be.Basically, I fixed the right end of the wall mount over the right wall stud, and the left side of the wall mount went several inches past the left wall stud. I was then able to hang my TV toward the left end of the wall mount, and this centered it perfectly over my shelf (moving the shelf itself was not an option here). You can see some of the wall mount sticking out to the right side behind my TV, but this is a complete non issue for me as it was more important to center the TV.The wall mount and brackets that attach to the back of the TV seem to be of good quality, and the hardware (screws and bolts) have given me no issue. So far everything is holding up, and it's clear that this mount could hold a TV far heavier than mine. I'm confident that it will hold mine until it needs to be replaced and couldn't recommend this product more. 5Like trying to get a picture frame to hang straight ... The unit seems strong enough for a 60 lb 55 . It will allow extension from the wall and hinge in/out as well as left/right OK.There is however a backlash (play) condition in the frictional ball joint attaching the metal plate on the ball joint to the TV VESA mount. Up/down ball joint play is not relevant because the weight of the TV will hold the lower position.This is a mechanical backlash. You can t remove by making the friction on the ball joint tight. It appears the ball (of the ball joint) assembly; is press fit to the extending arm and the press fit is not solid. It should have been welded along with the press fit. Then it would be solid.Because of this; ball joint rotation is frustrating. Like trying to get a picture frame to hang straight on the wall; held with a wire over a nail.The result of the backlash is rotational play in position of the TV; down on left/right and trying to get it symmetrical. You can fuss with it and get it but don t touch it again. 3Not very secure or solid Pretty disappointed in this -1. Package was damaged/retaped inside Amazon packaging2. Level is screwed on separately and nowhere to be found,3. No security hole on the main plate (Meaning it can't be "secured" via padlock per picture)4. All the Long screws far too long to use with the supplied stand-offs (Although it did come with a ton of different sized hardware)5. No positive engagement anywhere, the whole TV is a bit loose & wiggly when mounted up -nothing preventing the whole TV sliding side to sidePros:1. Light and very slim2. Multiple height Adjustments 2Highly recommended Works great for my 65" plasma TV, which is quite a bit heavier than most of the LED LCD and OLED models out there. Hugs the wall very closely for a nice look.The bracket's wide bolt holes came in very handy as well due to the weird spacing of studs in the wall I needed to mount the TV on. That's actually the reason I bought this new mount - my old one's bolt holes were too narrow to fit the studs I needed to drill into.Anyway - I highly recommend this mount, especially for large and heavy TVs. Do yourself a favor and do NOT spend $70-100 on the mounts sold at big box stores. If you're just looking for a basic low-profile mount and don't need tilt/swivel functions, then this is the one for you.Instructions were somewhat sparse as I recall, but that's not a negative thing as far as I'm concerned. If you can't figure out what to do with the pieces, you probably shouldn't be mounting the TV yourself anyway. Call in a professional or consult YouTube! 5A Great mount, but don't trust the built in level! I bought this to hang a panasonic th-46pz80u which is an older, heavy 46" Plasma TV. The mount worked great. This was my first time mounting a TV to the wall and I was able to do the entire job myself. I like the fact that there are 3 hook locations which gives you the ability to adjust the height of the TV without having to move the part that is mounted to the wall. I had absolutely no issues with the lag bolts (I saw that in another review). I am, however, thankful I read all of the comments before I did the job as you absolutely can not trust the built in bubble level. The built in level is the reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. If I had used that, my TV would be quite crooked. I would rather they left it off then put it on and have it wrong. All in all, this is a great mount 4
